  • C70 Gear changes

    Moin people, with my Volvo C70 2.0T MJ2000 convertible, seem to say goodbye to the synchronous rings on the gearbox for gears 4 and 5. Since I would replace the gearbox as a whole, the question would be which gearbox would fit at all. Must it be a gearbox of a C70? Or can it be one of a V70/2 or V70/1? What else should be taken care of, except for the correct translation?

  • Interior trim tailgate V70

    Hello, have the following problem: The lock of the tailgate no longer works… Close the door, monkey dead ? To get to the lock the tailgate should be opened…just like without a ZV (I think the actuator is broken) and without the possibility to open with a key. I get the disguise even if the flap is open, or does someone know what I could do (without the friendly) ? Greeting Peter

    Hi together. Have 2 short questions: I bought the rims cheaply and want to screw them on my 855. Now the quiz question that nobody could answer until now. 1. Which tire size go up and 2. so that the wheel muzzle fits the originals of my thickness. Merci for your infos!!

  • Does anyone know what tape this is for “tweaking”?

    Colleagues, in Vadis it is recommended by Volvo to “tweak” parts of the dashboard with a tape (Article No. 3537385). The tape is glued between the different plastic parts (see also photo) My question: Does one know this tape, what is the alternative (doesn’t come to the Volvo dealer at the moment)? And of course even more important: is it worth the effort? That can be done in some places of the center console, especially in the area of the armrest it always crackles.

  • Need urgent help V70I TDI no longer in the car

    Hello, it’s really good for you to have a good time. I’ve already got a lot of tips here. But now I’ve got a big problem? I’ve got a V70 TDI Bj.1999. The driving pleasure was quite great during the test drive. Made a good impression.The V70 has an EZV which also worked……so I thought. My V70 has only one lock on the driver’s side. All other doors have no locks.Unfortunately! So now it comes……….. Since I have a season KZ 11/04 and V70 only wanted to drive in the winter I didn’t want to jam the mass cable of the battery (and that was the big mistake) closed the doors and the engine hood and made a short close test. I thought the driver’s door can open at any time. But unfortunately wrong thought! The driver’s door can’t open the only lock on the V70!

    I have struggled with myself for a long time, but finally I decided to look around for something new. Unfortunately, I miss the cargo space of the former gulf too often. Just when it comes to transporting architectural models or after a purchase at the BΓΆsner/Obi/usw., I wish I had the station wagon back. Therefore, I have now advertised my S60 – and the price deliberately set a little high. Basically, I place myself in the upper midfield on the Austrian price scale for S60. Would you like to know from you whether you have anything in mind or noticed, what I have forgotten or what you would do differently with the advertisement. For constructive suggestions for improvement I am open. Autouncle has rated the car with ‘good price’, which is probably due to the equipment and the condition of care and the 12-fold maturation. Does the advertisement speak to you? Would you send a request if you would look for one like this? Many thanks in advance!

    Hello, I’m looking for experiences for the above optimization. Most reports I can find refer to the 205hp D5. I found one here, even with diagrams. After that it was partly worse than before and only occasionally better… I’m particularly interested in the range between 2000 and 3000 tours as well as the consumption. πŸ™‚ Can someone help me?   • Volvo S60 II/V60 T4

    Hi, I would like to introduce myself briefly: My name is Daniel and I come from Thuringia. At the moment I drive a BMW 320d EDE E91 Touring from 2012. I am actually very satisfied with this, but with the successor F30/31 I don’t get very warm. That’s why I’ve been looking for Volvo for some time, especially for the V60. Since I tend to become a petrol engine again due to reduced annual driving power and the current diesel discussion, the T4 with 190 hp and the two-liter four-cylinder turbo would be a reasonable variant. Unfortunately, I don’t find any – neither as a demonstration car is what available, nor even tests with this engine. Does anyone have any experience with this engine? A T4-powered or annual car under 30,000 € can’t be found at all. How are the conditions at the Volvo dealer’s moment for a new or demonstration car, even taking into account the steering system that the S60/V60 will run out next year? My configuration would look like this: V60 T4 Business Line Switch Mussle-Blue Metall Lightpacket so easy for an Aluluminum.

  • Difference brake 280/302

    Hello dear community, I don’t know if the question has already been asked this way… I drive a Volvo V70I with the “girl engine”, currently Perfo’s are installed, which in theory can also take off the 302 brake system. I assume theoretically that only the 280 were installed from the factory with the small engine… Can I actually only find out on the basis of the brake disc which is 280 or 302 or are there other components that point to the different systems, if yes, how do they look visually?   • XC70 -> Charging grid shuts off airbags?

    Hi together, I’m discussing with a valued other MT member (XC70 in GOLD) the function of the airbag! Taking into account the position of the cargo space grid. Theses: For security reasons, the head airbag (this “Inflatable Curtain”, inflatable curtain πŸ˜‰ is switched off when folding the cargo space grid. Anti-Theses: This is just wrong for security reasons. That would mean for the rear passengers to choose whether they want to be killed in the event of an accident of luggage, or want to hit their head on the side. Both situations speak against “Volvo for life”. Note: I have in my head (who hasn’t opened yet πŸ˜‰ the memory of the manual (TFM), in which sense it was said that when the back seat of the cargo space was flipped over the seat over these seats should only be used to the lower edge of the window.
