Hello, I ordered my S60 D5 on January 21st. The confirmation came on January 25th. I haven’t had a delivery date yet… Now I have the following questions: – Since I was too dubious and didn’t really look at it, the seller turned on the automatic transmission instead of the manual transmission. We had talked about the manual transmission all the time, but somehow there was an automatic out there and I didn’t notice it until yesterday. Can you change something now with VOLVO? – In addition, the technical data sheet says that the automatic consumes 8.1l instead of 5.8l compared to the manual transmission. Does that fit like this? That’s actually too much difference, or not?! Yes, I know I should have read this correctly and so, but I’ve now failed because I paid attention to all configuration data, just not this Geartronic -.- Greeting Andrago

Glazed glass with coating – danger by ice scraping and enteric spray
Hello, if you have laminated glass with this water-repellent coating and it is crispy cold outside (so that it cracks inside in the cockpit and crunches…) so that you have to scratch heavily ice or spray duck ice on the windows – does that eventually break the coating or does it hold out? filiushh

Is the S60 II really better than the S60 I?
Hello together, I am currently driving a S60 I gasoline engine with which I am generally quite satisfied, but which consumes me too much in the long run. So I thought of a new S60 as diesel. The new one is quite visually respectable, inside and outside. I then did a little research and found two tests from the ADAC, once with the old D5 , once with the new D5. I noticed two things negatively: 1. the turning circle is even bigger with the new one than with the old one (12.35m to 12.5m) 2. the inner noise is louder with the new one (at 130kmh 67dBA to 69dBA) Can you confirm that? Are there perhaps other things that are worse with the new one? What can he better? Greetings, thunder blow

Volvo V70 does not start to despair
Hello you! So the following problem: I have a V70 diesel and in winter it doesn’t start any more! He has always had light start problems but now nothing more is going on! Battery completely new, pre-glow candles new etc… The mechanic also finds nothing special or says something different! Once the temperature sensor, which is also completely new, then it should be the lead light now… Vll. is it the starter motor! If I buy the parts now and then it is not that much money again! It sounds like when the battery is started rather like when the battery is empty, but that’s not so! I always let the car put on then it starts immediately! In summer this problem was not! Vll. has a similar problem and can help me otherwise I really have to give it away! Thanks lg mell

Brake no longer completely dissolved during the ride…
Last but not least, the brake didn’t completely resolve itself at the front left. I probably drove a few kilometers and didn’t notice that because the cruise control was in it – the engine didn’t seem to work, nor did I notice any other signs during the ride that the problem was there. However, at the first stop at a traffic light I noticed smoke. The brake disc really glowed, the brake pads were squeaking and stunk, even the rim was hot hot! Guess, I was just about to fly around the front of the car! I waited a little bit until everything cooled down and the car was up. The wheel turned slightly harder than normal, in the same way as with a broken wheel bearing. After I hit the brakes a few times with the wheel key, I drove on the brakes. 2-3x deliberately braked properly, then everything was again i.O…. The brakes as such are just 30000 km old and not particularly rusty or so… I didn’t look at all good? The problem was not quite what happened to me. ‘I’m sorry for a brake check.

18 inches from the accessories without modifications ? V60D5
Good day, from next week I will be a proud owner of a V60 D5 FWD Autom. his vehicle has Njord rims in 17 inches and these should serve as winter rims. After a long search I found the Volvo at the org. 18 inches aluminum has a very large ET ( 55). Most aluminums from the accessories have however ET45 the maximum what I found was ET50 and in the ABE ́s stands that the rims have to be entered and inside in the wheel box on the axle 2 have to be sniffed around on the plastic cover….what I do not want. Is there a solution or does someone know rims from the accessories with higher ET? Thank you in advance for your answers. Greeting Mykael

Volvo V70 2.0 Test driving
Moin, I’m new here and I’d like to buy a Volvo. The place and its robustness have just convinced me. However, I would like to get some experience beforehand. Since I personally don’t know anyone who drives Volvo, I’ll ask here. I apologize for it before, should my questions have occurred 185 times in this forum I’ve now got a V70 2.0 gasoline engine with 126hp BJ 98 in mind. Here I’m about to test drive. I’ve already informed myself on various pages about the model and I’ve heard that it can come to problems with the light maschine. Has there been any experience there? In the TÜV report of the Volvo, the examiner has provided the following note: “Axle suspension rear wheel bushings pay attention”. Here you probably have to approach in the next time. What will this bring with it? I thank you already for the flood of information that will flood me immediately.

What are the Volvo drivers doing here professionally? 🙂
Would perhaps be interesting to read what we’re doing here I’ll start with : have studied technical computer science and work as a programmer in the hospital. So now you’re on Greetings Cristian
