  • New headlamps for V40 Built 98 Phase I 2.0 Turbo

Hello all, I have a question for you: My elk has quite funky lamps, I would like to put H7 lamps in. An inquiry from the dealer resulted in an offer for the following headlights: Vehicle equipment: for vehicles with light-width control (electric) Lamp type: H7/H7 Scatter disk design: crystal-clear scatter disk equipmentvar. TURBO T4, SP. EDITI. Number of connections 5 As far as, so good. However, I have no pins on my old headlight. I have uploaded some pictures to you. Is there an adapter for, or do you have to make it yourself? Probably someone has done this here in the forum, but the link to the description unfortunately goes to the void (elchschreck.de). Already many thanks and many greetings, Markus

  • Volvo S40 T4 1.9l Bj97 Nails, knocks

Hello dear forum community. I’ve been having a problem since recently. My engine knocks, nails, or whatever you might call it. I’ve already handled the Sufu on extreme mishandling and partly. Problem started with unround motor running. I’ve done the following: Coils are already new, but again tested with others – no improvement idle controller cleaned – without improvement gasoline pressure regulator/limiter removed and the small gasket replaced because this was porous – while standing the car about 2 weeks. Car started and see there – runs wonderful, ABER: Now the engine knocks (video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m_Ohl7LMk6Y&feature=youtu.be ) Have the screws pulled from the scrumptle to the turbo and 2, which were bolted out also lightly? The suck-up curved screws are still pulled – thanks to loose under and pressure hoses (the thin ones) were already controlled and neatly attached (something to change) – no remedy- and filter change with 5Wanks is not possible.

  • Stainless steel pedals XC 90 T8

Hello all, I really wanted the T8 Inscription (because of the nicer radiator grill) but I find the stainless steel pedals from the R design great. Can I retrofit them and mount them myself? Do you have a tip where to get them? LG and thank you for your answers.

  • I need your help with winter tires!

I am looking for winter tyres for the XC90 of the brand “Pirelli Scorpion Ice&Snow” for 235/60R18. I want to have these tyres pulled onto my Atlantis rim. A dealer with whom I get company discount informed me that there are only 8 tyres of this brand/size in the whole federal territory and the price is 212,86€ incl. all works, costs (balances;Mwst). Since I have to decide at short notice I ask for your contributions how much you paid for the tires. To me the price seems too high? Thank you in advance. P.S. I know that you should drive at temperatures below +7 degrees winter tires what I also have with my company car. However, my wife would like to ski holidays with the XC90……

  • No more fiscal truck at the XC 90!?

To all interested parties from Öziland! Today at noon it was whispered to me that the possibility of the Großelch to get past the Austrian NoVa (standard consumption tax; 12-14% depending on the type) is history. To this stage a relatively tight grid was fixed behind the second row of seats, which separates the passenger room from the “freight room” – ie: truck. Although a rather strange idea to make a truck that can not transport more bulky objects than the door width, but at the list prices are e.g. 14% already a lot of ash… The dear competitors have apparently got wind from this sales argument and after Volvo was still so daring to apply for the whole idea in newspaper ads, maybe Karlheinz also smelled Lunte and turned the thing off. Volvo will certainly appeal against the decision of the authorities, but for the time being I would advise to buy a truck – unless one passes the risk fully on the friendly, but they are warned and will not play along… After I have decided to give up this variant again – Richard will have decided concretely again for a diesel piece.

  • Pick up in Sweden?

Hello, has one of you ever picked up his moose in Sweden?. Is it possible? My cheerful one didn’t think about it from Volvo Germany, unless you live in a distant country. (who wants that already!) How nice to fly to the factory in Sweden and get his new moose there, drive him in right away and look at the beautiful country. Greetings from Bavaria

  • Workshop test

Hello once wanted to open a workshop thread. Because this with the workshops is such a problem. That’s why I wanted to ask you questions about how you have been working with your workshop of trust since. Could also others in forum help to find the right workshop for him. Since I drive around in the South German region (Munich) I have as a workshop the “Volvo Theis” in Munich, which operates 3 workshops. I let my elk in Riem wait. My result: The workshop is very free. Have always executed my warranty requirements. Have always had time for me. Elch is washed! And there is coffee for free! The sale (I don’t know what they want to sell, but definitely no cars). Have tried to buy a V8, but nobody wanted to sell me one!!!!!! There are still alternatives in the vicinity: Rosenhein, Baierbrunn etc. Even if you are on a trip and have a small problem, it is great if you find a workshop with which other Elche is satisfied. Many greetings from Südbayern. PS:Hoffe the Volvo will forgive me for years!

  • Fasten Yatour?

Hello! I read that some others also have the Yatour YT-M06 here. I also installed the part today (SC-805) and it was really very easy (10min including cable laying and installing the microphone (also have the Bluetooth module)). I put the stuff now (Player and BT module) into the glove compartment. Does someone have a good tip, how to attach it as best as possible, so that it doesn’t always slip through the area? Had already thought of assembly tape or Velcro tape but since the glove compartment is lined with felt, I guess that a kind of adhesive tape will probably not stick there, or will it? Only variant remove glove compartment and drill holes pure? Thanks and greeting!

  • Flame screen oil trap

  • How long do the drive shaft cuffs last?

Hello dear elk community, because just on holiday at the beautiful Baltic Sea – after a cross country trip in the heavy rain and storm last night I heard a sharping, creaking noise at the front at a faster turn to the right. Unfortunately, due to the weather I could not immediately take a look under the elk (V70 I – BJ99/00) – I suspected a jammed branch or similar. Then I looked up this morning more closely and found in addition to a nice greeting from the marten, which probably both external axle cuffs show cracks and fat exit. Nue the elk stands in the workshop and let tomorrow both external drive shaft cuffs swap. Someone knows how long the cuffs hold on the drive shaft in the cut so hard. I hope that the joints have not got a blow and the problem is solved with the replacement of the cuffs. Thanks and greetings, Oliver
