  • Tool case and WHIPS

    Hi, my very much has given me today the manual of his XC90 demonstration car. And then I happen to hit the page about WHIPS and see that I have been driving my tool/installation case wrongly with me for years: behind the front seat – and there it blocks WHIPS! – Do you have suggestions for accommodation/securing in the trunk? – Does the XC90 actually have built-in belts (doesn’t believe)? – What is to hold from a net above the ground under which you push the case (does anyone have such a thing? from where?) – Or should I stay cross-crossed with my good old 2 rubber drops? I would be happy about your ideas and experiences! Greeting Jürgen actually happy that he is forced to put the thing in the trunk as he has always cut macks into the rear door panel with it.

  • New big man finally there…

    XC90 finally there / Inscription… Hello together ! After several long months waiting I was able to pick up my XC90 D5 yesterday at the friendly one! Since I never work with anything without problems I still drive with “yellow” license plates, because Volvo sent the letter too late … But tomorrow will do everything. So, my first impression: class ! – new engine very smooth – new Geartronic considerably better, switches no more “hard” as the old – very good noise insulation in the interior and: – the car is far too big for my underground garage …!!! Yesterday it took 15 minutes to place the big one there. And I say: I can drive a car and also park. Unfortunately our underground garage is very narrowly built and for such vehicles not designed. Through the stepping boards the car on each side becomes again 10cm wider, thus the entry becomes a real millimeter work. PDC front and rear have beepept at the same time… But I will continue to practice and then we will look… Now however a photo of the new one!

  • Engine goes off in stand and sporadically no power

    Hello together… I’ve been having an annoying problem for a few weeks now. And when I’m on the road normally, my V40 has some sporadically the problem that it suddenly goes off when I’m idle. BUT as long as I’m roll and over 30 kmh it stays on. Only below it goes out, I say, while driving the clutch, it goes quietly into idle. If I come to a traffic light and brake then it goes from so below about 30 kmh. Strangely I know that I also noticed that if he has his “phase”, he also has no more power… Ich möglich das möglich? So rattern does the thing now for more than a year… Actually only in idle run… The noise is a bit more irregular in the last time and partly it has to do with the variable camshaft adjustment.

  • Volvo S40 T4 -strange sounds from the engine

    Hello, can anyone tell me what’s wrong with the engine.https://youtu.be/NX-cETm5-NI I’ve been to the Volvo dealership twice, but they couldn’t really tell me where this “blechner” noise comes from. The clutch excluded them. The defective camshaft sounds somehow different? This noise is also not regularly/permanent to hear. Otherwise, you don’t notice anything about it when driving. No error is shown either. I’m really desperate.

  • What’s that?

    Hello together. Due to idle problems I am currently finding the causes and first replace the vacuum hoses. I came across a component (possibly solenoid valve) whose function is not known to me.. In the appendix a picture about it… The component sits on the cooler on the top right when you stand in front of the car. A vacuum hose and a plug goes on it. And it always clacks quite often. If you hold your finger on it, you can also feel it. Thanks for your help.

  • C70 T5 starts after 10-15sec org…

    Good evening forum! I’ve been tormenting Aunt Google for a long time now, what it might be about… Starter goes through wacky, after about 10sec (or sometimes 3, ider 15s) the engine then goes off abruptly and runs clean on all cylinders. The stationary gas evenly. I exclude LMM, because the engine starts just as ticky when the LMM is plugged off. It goes out when I plug in the LMM then. Empty speed controller is suspected. But does not fluctuate the speed. Also, does not go out. Nocks, or crankshaft sensor? Symptoms? I don’t know. Power is 100% there when it runs. Petrol pressure regulator? Does the ignition system stop too late? I also exclude the immobilizer. Also, I think that the nozzles won’t drip, otherwise it wouldn’t run saube and the Lambda would complain. Do you have any ideas? Ohso, no, error memory is not (yet) read out.

    Hello together. I’m just falling in love with a T5 station wagon. Ride 850 GLE so far, also only combos, and am very happy with the Swedes. The T5 should change for 1900.- the owner. 198,000km, gears changed at 119,000km (with water pump). It should hold a bit. What with but worries are the brakes. The rear look rather shaky, the pads seem to be down and the caliper is actually only rust. At the front it looks so good. Also when braking you hear a frictioning noise and the bite leaves you wanting to. It slows down, but not as it belongs to such a force spretz. For me it’s interesting now what the brakes cost me. I guess at least 1 kiloEuro if I leave in front and back.

  • Power loss without error message

    Moin Moin, I need your help, my elk (125 kW petrol MJ 2000 250tkm) always has sporadic power loss. On the highway he can no longer make it more than 4000 rpm. Also in the city I sometimes kick the gas on the sheet metal and I only speed up at the snail speed, other times everything is normal again and I think I am sitting in a fresh elk. But I also have no mistake when reading out in the memory. Oh yes, it does NOT jerk and twitch, only no more accelerations just. The following parts are freshly changed: air mass knife, throttle valve (repeated), lamda control probe Have now actually only the ignition or the injection on suspicion. But how can I find out where or in which cylinder the error lies? Or do you still have an idea where the error might come from? I am grateful for every advice. Wish you a nice rest day.

  • Valve damage

    Moin Gemeinde, my good old Swedes, rode the devil yesterday and caused me a valve damage in the first cylinder. Candle is worn away and that was it. I measured pressure already all 2-5 only the first one no longer. Someone knows a free factory state here near him and also familiar, for a normal price.
