A nice good evening, I would like to switch from my station wagon to an XC90 and need your help and experience for it. My vehicle will change owner for about 30-35,000 euros, I want to pay max. 5000-7000 euros so that I pay between 35.000-42,000 euros for the XC90. Now I don’t know about the Volvo at all, whether it’s the equipment lines still the engines, whether only gasoline or petrol/hybrid I still have to find out what is more worthwhile and what is in the budget. Since I’m not yet 40 years old, I don’t like Chrome around, like a black design and not to bieder, then it would have to be a R or Black line, unless the grill is exchangeable against a black. My daily working easy distance amounts to 9km, that is 18-20km a day, hence the idea of driving the track electrically, but it’s not a must, it’s also the normal petrol driver. Clear T8 plug in would be good, but quite expensive. What can you advise a Volvo newling X90, which is the best choice for the vehicle.

Experiences with Dashcams incl. Hardwiring in S/V90
Hello, I got a Thinkware Q800 Pro 2 Channel Dashcam incl. park monitoring mode and would like to perform the installation in my V90 itself. https://www.tipronet.net/…amera-thinkware-q800-pro-set-rear-cam.html Is there anyone here who has already installed a Dashcam with hardwire kit? I have considered the following: the front camera should be positioned, at some distance, to the right of the IntelliSafe unit, to minimize possible interference/impairment of the unit. The power cable and connection cable for the rear camera should be guided behind the headliner over the WSS. Power cable then comes to the fuses in the footroom passenger side and is connected by electric thieves. Connection cable for the Rear Cam is installed on the front passenger side over the roof sky. The camera is then positioned (from inside) centered below the 3rd brake light. The hardwiring then allows the operation of both cameras in the parking monitoring mode.

Consumption D5
Hi has been driving a brand new v70 D5 since February. In the meantime it has 15Tkm on the clock; find that an average consumption of 9 l/100 km (a lot of motorway at approx.160 km/h) is quite high. Thought that the consumption decreases after driving in. What experiences do you have? mfg

Standard probe
Hey community needs a tip regarding the rule probe. This weakens and has to be out. since those are so outrageously expensive someone has a good inexpensive dealer or even a new lie which he no longer needs. YV1LW5506T2173096 Thanks for your suggestion on this 3rd Advent. Greeting and thanks Stumpanski

C70 T5 engine, problem, does not go through!
Moin Moin, I noticed with my moose that it is fixed in 3-5 gears at 3000 tours about 1-2seconds and not accelerated. If I go on the track in 2 gears, that doesn’t happen, even if I switch through all of them afterwards. Is now the question what that could be and if someone has already experienced with it? 98′ C70 2.3 T5 Zuendkerzen org. Volvo Platinum Brennstaebe since 4000km new Sports air filter K&N outside temp. Was about 9 degrees in the rough rain. Cheers, Mo

Optima battery in the 850er
I wanted to integrate the Yellowtop YT S 4.2 into my 850 TDI. But these are only available with a plus pole on the left and the pole connections are quite central. In addition, the mounting rails are different. Can this battery still be easily accommodated in the 850s or are conversion measures necessary?see also Optima

extruded disc tinting of laminated glass side panes
Hello, in March comes our new XC90. This time in silver-metallic. Since I did not want to do without the VSG (noise insulation) I now look for a possibility to sound the discs afterwards. Question: Does anyone have experience with subsequent tint of VSG discs? I have concerns, since the laminated glass panes are already very thick and I fear that the panes with the additional foil in the rubber seal of the rear doors clamp or quickly blur.

“Stability control maintenance required” Volvo C30 1.6d 2007
Dear motor talker, for a few months now our Volvo C30 from 2007 permanently shows the error message “Stability control maintenance required. ABS works perfectly, but ESP of course no longer. Driving is so no problem, because power is full, but the Tüv will be less enthusiastic about it. I had the error codes read out in a Volvo workshop with the following result: BCM-0090 lateral accelerometer faulty signal – error code is actively ahead of DDM-8003 mirror heating power undercalculation or short circuit to the voltage source – error code is not actively ahead of PAM-E010 power supply too high voltage difference – error code is not actively ahead of SWM-0201 steering wheel angle sensor Faulty signal – error code is not actively available. The workshop would now want to replace the trans-acceleration sensor and this costs Pi times thumb 600 Euro without success guarantee. Therefore my questions: Does someone have the parts number of the sensor and can tell me where he is sitting (possibly under the passenger seat?). Would then try to get a spare part from the scrap and install this. Can there also be a connection with the steering wheel angle?

Right drive shaft middle bearing/support bearing
In April there is a bigger rep. On my V70/1 bj98 Mj99. Since the right drive shaft has to be out, I want to change the middle bearing. NOT the inner or outer joint, but the bearing which is held with a blast ring on the long shaft! Skandix does not spit out a suitable over the fin ! In the Volvopower and Volvoforum yet no answer ! I puffed up the spare part number. Even better would be the bearing size or the bearing number ! Will certainly not be a specially made for Volvo warehouse ! I can get cheaper to good stock over my operation ! Need a number or the size ! With a picture !
