  • Loud indoor noise/additional insulation

    Halllo together, for some time now I feel the noise level in the interior of my V70 II D5 Mj 08 on my favorite highway track as disturbingly loud. Can you do something here with an additional insulation? Last time I drove a Toyota Avensis Diesel on the same track – it was clear (whistle-) quiet. Does anyone have experience with driving noise reduction? Rejoice me over answers. A good week all

  • Upgrade Levelmat to normal V70 3 dampers

    Hello together, unfortunately I found nothing suitable on the Internet: Does anyone know if the level mats can theoretically be replaced with normal dampers in the V70 – 3? In my knowledge, the predecessors did it in conjunction with new springs. But what is this like with phase 3? Thank you and greetings

  • Volvo V60 – mature inside downhill

    Hello together When I switched to the winter tyres, I noticed that the summer tyres at the front went down to the wire. On the right and left the same picture, and only after about 11000 km. See pictures. The rear tyres are as good as new. My Volvo dealer said I was most likely driven over a curb. And the steering geometry was adjusted. Now the steering geometry (Sturz?) was adjusted and I have to buy 2 new summer tyres. What I find funny is that there was the same problem on the left and right. In March I changed from 16 inch winter to 18 inch summer wheels: original Volvo Magni rims with 4 new tires Dunlop Sport Maxx RT2 MFS 235/40 ZR18 95Y. The assembly was carried out at Volvo including the steering impact limiter. Since that is the turning circle as with a truck, but that’s another topic. What do you think about this? Could there be a connection with the assembly of the steering impact limiter? (Volvo D604, 2015, 118000 km)

  • 850 GLT Built 06.1992 Only driver door opens / closes

    I’m sure there is already the topic, but I don’t find it. I just bought a 850 sedan. Unfortunately, only the driver’s door opens and closes with the bowl. I have to open all the other doors from the inside. I think the remote control doesn’t have it anyway. Is the central locking electric or pneumatic? Does anyone know the problem or better the solution? Greetings Dietmar

    After two three years I have now apparently skyrocketed my battery Varta Dynamic Blue 60 Ah by releasing the glove compartment ?? My question how much Ah and cold current should the battery have V70 103Kw Bj99 gasoline? At Varta I find which with 74Ah mine had only 60 Ah -can be that I have installed after the first the ca 17 years held the wrong one ? Can the light mesh of the V70 1 charge both 60 and 74/78 Ah ? Or does each only the light mesh fit to the right battery ? Where can I find which battery fits the V70 103KW ?

  • Finding a workshop

    Good day to the forum, question from a new member and first-Volvo owner (me), who has 2 left hands (as far as cars are concerned) and who lives in the south of Munich: Does someone know a workshop in or around Munich, which I can trouble with my V70 I in the case of cases? I have a V70 year 1997 with 160,000 km of running performance, stitching, 2 previous owners bought. Looks good, feels good when driving, and I have already fallen in love with something (although it still stands at the dealer, the elk)… Unfortunately no full equipment. Speak, partial leather seat etc. Also old radio in it (with cassette), here I am still looking for a way to find an original radio from Volvo, where my iPhone 4 is running… At least I dream about it. But is another topic. It is important to me the workshop. I can show the elk once and who tells me when to do what is why and where. For tips I like to do. Munich – Starnberg – beautiful area!

  • Theft protection V70 in Poland?

    Hello, on Monday I’m going to Lithuania and Poland for a few days. My uncle told me to remove a relay or a fuse in the engine room every time I park the car. Does one of you know what to pull out of the car? I think something that will paralyze the starter, right? Ohso, I drive the V70 D5, model year 2002.     yes, what I notice again and again, the people, here in the first place the responsible ones, do not understand how much economic potential is in the portemonaies of the “old car drivers”. Many of us have complained here about the bad handling of our wishes, be it with the “friendly” or be it directly with Volvo. Instead, the new cars – buyers are engrossed and tinkered. If one of Volvo reads here: Here is a nice article about what youngtimer owners (old car drivers) spend for their cars and if I do it with me, I actually come to similar amounts. Who else?
