  • Some questions about the V70/2 and the 2.4d/D5

Good day, I am interested in a new old used car. Since we have now bought a caravan for our motorsport weekends and this with 1200Kg is already relatively heavy I have once looked for a V70/2 and found an object of desire (currently a 2.0 T5 in the 850 is my train car, but you notice that it has at the rear 1200Kg clearly at the consumption by 15,8L). For more is unfortunately not the necessary small change available (otherwise it would be an XC70/III become) But now I have a few questions: 1. Electronic problems, a lot of things left and you hear about the P26s, what does this look like with vehicles from Bj.03 ? 2. Are there any special weak points of the P26 which you should keep in mind directly during a visit ? 3. 2.4d/D5 Differences, my parents have an S80 II D5 with 185hp, is it basically the same engine, only with more smoke and without DPF ? Which chess points have these motors and how durable is the automatic in Bez 4. SKN Provides an increase in power to 195hp and 405Nm torque for the 163hp engine, because someone has had experience, how does the automatic react to the increase in torque? I thank you so much for reading and answering the questions. It greets CZEA1989

  • Interior blower always happens randomly when the vehicle is switched off

Moin together, I have an electronic problem in my Volvo V70 II. Although the vehicle is off and closed, the fan for the interior is randomly operated at the highest level. This can happen after 20 min or after 5 hours. Quite randomly. The blower then until the battery is empty. Then I always have to turn on ignition and it goes off again, or on the adjustment which is in the air conditioning. Therefore, I always jam the battery as soon as I get the W the next morning the battery is empty. I have already changed the climate control unit, got a used one from Ebay, but didn’t do anything, the car still does that. Vlt. there are here which could narrow down something I should look for. Thank you very much, MFG Sascha PS: Sorry, I landed in the wrong subforum, can you still move the thread?

  • XC90 newcomer with first questions

Moin Since today I am proud XC 90 owner! The first settings are made, the instructions are eagerly read and I have been searching through the forum here for days. Therefore, thank you very much to the community here, it is great what I have already found here for information. So far a few questions are still open: 1) What is this symbol in the middle of the driver display? In the attached picture the red arrow shows on it… Edit: ok, with the right terms it also finds the Forum search:https://www.motor-talk.de/…/…eutet- dieses-symbol-t6012146.html?… So, where would you install a Dashcam? Today, the friend said that the center of the windscreen is actually off-limits because all the assistance systems are installed there. I found that obvious, but where did the camera go? 3) Volvo on call doesn’t go, I haven’t received a PIN yet. I’ve already entered the chassis number online, but never received a PIN….what do you do? n? It was unlocked by the dealer. 4) can I also switch on the heater manually? I’m manual is only about pre-conditioning and that the heater is then switched on automatically. That was it for the first time, surely more will come in the next few days, if I deal more intensively with the details.

  • Software Update – November 2017

Hello Together, if I interpret the Volvo software page correctly (http://support.volvocars.com/…/article.aspx?…) a larger software update for our XC90 will come out with nice regularity in May and November. I will soon have to go to the workshop because of a smaller “tuning” measure anyway, so it would probably be worth waiting for the release of the software update. Anyone already knows what changes are contained in it and when exactly that comes to The last ones were partly quite extensive, when I look at the changelog like this.

  • Questions about the 4 wheel of the T8 2018

Hello Community, I would like to switch from my Audi A4 2.0 TFSI Quattro (B8) to the current V90 T8. And as a four-wheeler, I have some questions that the dealer did not really answer me: 1) I was assured that the four-wheeler was ALWAYS available, even if I drove the (respectable) 50km electric. 2) The four-wheeler (i.e. the rear axle) always goes with a certain percentage, as would be the case with the T6. 3) I have remember that in the next winder, here in the Allgäu, I simply don’t have a four wheel anymore with full snow cover. I hope that you can refute my concerns and relativize them, because if the four-wheel drive is not permanently possible, I would like to switch to the T6 after all. Greetings

  • XC90 2 (L) Sensus does not recognize numerous MP3 files

I had already described the problem at one place or another, but I still can’t get to the bottom of it and it’s extremely annoying: My sensus doesn’t recognize about 50% of the MP3s that I connect to external data carriers (whether USB stick or hard drive). All other media systems (be it Mercedes, VW, Audi or even third-party solutions like Pioneer) recognize the files without any problems and also any other imaginable device that I could test. a game file that my sensus doesn’t recognize (it doesn’t even appear in the library). Could one of you do me a favor and check if the file is recognized by the sensus? Thank you!

  • Problem with Spotify (Sensus)

Hello guys, in my Volvo V60 built in 2020 Spotify only loads. Don’t play anymore. Just load it. I’ve reinstalled it 2 times. Internet everything works. Account too. Everything goes without problems via Bluetooth. Maybe someone has a solution proposal. Thanks!!

  • Strange hum at V70 I

Moinsen, I’ve had strange noises in the V70 (T5, year 97) for a few weeks now. It’s a kind of hum… sounds almost like an old bomber is approaching. Or as if an off-road vehicle is passing with an extreme terrain profile. It’s particularly violent at the following speeds: 60 km/h (here it starts) 90 km/h (here it’s really loud) at the 110 km/h (here it’s really loud again) below, between or over these speeds nothing is heard up to almost nothing. To come to the front right, however, with loud, deep sounds it is always stupid to locate. Still striking: In left curves (load on front right) it gets louder. In right curves (kaum load on front right) the noise is gone (or almost away). The tires are still new and the same as in the brum free time (Michelin CrossClimate). The tyre pressure fits. I tested wheel bearings already with the forest and meadow method, but make a 1 A impression. It came from a T ag on the other and is sometimes felt worse, sometimes less bad. I have no idea… maybe track / fall? Has someone ever experienced something like this and a tip before I have to do the axe survey in vain?

  • Volvo 850 2.5 R5 TDI

Hello guys, I’m thinking about getting a 850 2.5 R5 TDI and I wanted to ask you if you can give me a few tips on what I have to pay attention to with the old Swedes tanks. And what is the KM limit? For all petrol fans: Yes, I’m aware that I can’t drive with a diesel to certain cities, but I live in Ö and like the driving behavior of a diesel simply prefers Thanks in advance!

  • Cover C70 Attention – costs!!!

Good day from Austria! Exciting topic: C70 – BJ 2007, approx. 50 Tsd km on the clock, 3rd summer season – cover defective, strange noise development, is stuck. Diagnosis: hair crack in the hydraulic unit (an obvious material error), further diagnosis: warranty expired, raparature costs approx.2,000,- material, 8 to 10 hours work… My opinion: There is also a product liability! And the information of the parts supplier: Of course, in this case we have to give Volvo the defective Te This information is passed on to Volvo-Cars Austria: Patzige Answer – we accept 50% of the material costs, they have no legal claim to this, if they want to have the defective part to control, they pay full and basic. Conversations with fellow sufferers: Yes, they are always so un-culant, quite unlike other brands (where the same technology is used), where even after years of material defects in the area of hydraulic cover is repaired free of charge. R esumee: Don’t open and close the cover too often!!! You never know when the next 2 to 3,000 euros of repair will be due – so save in time, otherwise is nothing with convertible! VOLVO – quality that you pay. Once, twice… A poverty certificate!
