  • Determine the value of a Volvo 240 DL bj 91

Hello I’m new here in the forum and have the following concerns. We have inherited a Volo T244. now it’s about selling the car… after a little information the pricing seems to me very difficult. There you find T 244 from 2000 to 15000 € Here a few informations about the car Volvo T 244 First registration 30.4.91 -> one of the last vehicles in D. as far as I have read the correct petrol with 85 KW / 116 hp mileage 380 000 km 1st hand – inherited car stood almost always in the barn. Older Mr. Auto TÜV without reperatures in autumn 2013 get without complaints. External and internal condition is orderly and good I hope you can help me a little. To assess the value of a Bish better With kind regards Chr.

  • Volvo 245 DL does not start

I bought a Volvo 245 DL with a b21a engine and 107 ps, first registered in 1978. With the round lights in front. Now I bought the Volvo in the Ebay, forwarding company brings the car to me. As soon as it arrived, it doesn’t jump on. Thought it was just on the Shoke, because we didn’t find the lever. Nja later I found it, pulled it, started it, but still doesn’t jump on. At the beginning he did a couple of explosions but didn’t run, sp Rich he comes a few times but when I release the ignition switch he doesn’t run. After a couple of days he didn’t do anything anymore. No matter if give full throttle, pull Shoke, let go of Shoke at the start, he doesn’t do anything anymore. The freight forwarder said the owner drove the Volvo on the truck. So now he can’t miss it so far. He wrote he has a heated garage and he is standing outside with me and has now constantly around the -4 degrees. As we got him it had about 15 degrees. Mu ss has something to do with the carburetor, SU Hif 6. Control times, ignition time, sparks, fuel supply, battery everything is fine. Spark plugs are always wet after starting. And the compression will certainly not be when the Volvo ran at the previous owner. By the way, Tüv still has 1 1/2 years. I looked in the inet once whether there is something to read or if something is known. But I found nothing and therefore promptly registered here. I know too The carburettor is decomposed, but nothing unusual can be seen. (I also tried to turn on the speed screw if it changes something when starting but no chance). In the float is no gasoline, stand is ok, valve is ok. No nozzle stick is oval and not clogged. Needle is springed and I cannot detect any damage. Oil is also enough in it. I really don’t know any more, thought maybe of a repair kit for the carburettor. Gaser, but maybe some of you guys know the problem, would be nice if someone could help me.

  • Volvo 240 GL. is it worth buying?

Hello community, I am a travel Volvo fan and I found a Volvo 240 GL today on mobile.de. Visually it looks relatively good, it could not visit it yet, but optically it still looks relatively good. The description is unfortunately also a bit poor. Here a link to the car. http://suchen.mobile.de/vehicles/details.html?id=187577842 My question is now: is it worth the purchase?

  • Tank indicator defective – does the exchange of the tanker help?

Hello together, I have a problem with the fuel display of my Volvo 850 (built in 96, km stand: 518tkm). The display is either empty or fully suspended, although the tank is definitely not filled accordingly. I have already researched, but so far without success. My question: Could it be that the exchange of the tanker fixes the problem? Has any of you already had similar experiences and can say whether the problem has been solved? Or is there perhaps other Ursa , which I should check before I exchange the tanker? Thank you in advance for all tips and experiences!

  • Big problems with V40 TD

Hello, we have recently had massive problems with our V40 TD, 66kW, engine D4192T, the good old Renault engine F8QT, BJ 01/98. When starting cold, let it rotate for a long time until it starts. Ok , you can live with it. The idle speed is too low, between 600 and 700 revolutions with cold engine. Then it does not keep the speed right, it varies constantly by approx. 100 rpm. With warm engine it commutes between 850 and 950 rpm. When switching, you have the feeling that the car does not have any light. g has more, only when the turbocharger gets enough pressure it finally pulls, before it drives like a 34hp-fiat-panda with tightened handbrake. Even with constant gas the car has drop-outs, i.e. it jerks from the engine, as if it pulls false air or pulls air over the diesel line. (Similar to ignition-slips…) or not get enough diesel. If the car then accelerates and one keeps the accelerator on the highway under good load it drives itself quite standard al, but for city traffic and highway this driving behavior is really annoying. Diesel filter is new, it can’t be because … Does any of you have an idea ?

  • Turbo shows strange behavior / hissing

Hello, my moose is ready for me at the moment a little worry… Hopefully it’s only a broken/stricken/defected/slipped turbo hose… Symptoms: Sometimes everything is fine, the turbo does what it needs to do, whistles quite easily in the background (is normal or?) and everything is good. But then the turbo is all loud at once. You hear a very loud hissing while giving gas. When I quickly walk off the gas I hear clearly how the excess pressure is dropped (wastegate defective?). If it is hissing while accelerating, there is still good performance, maybe a little less than normal. What I find strange is that sometimes everything is fine. If the Wastegate valve or a hose were defective, would it always have to hiss or? I hope I could describe my problem in an understandable way. Where is the Wastegate valve? I would like to see if I can’t detect a defective hose or leak. Unfortunately today I didn’t have the e Time to check all hoses (engine was still warm and I didn’t have time to wait). Thank you for your tips or solutions. Matthias

  • Volvo V40 1.8l as a everyday car?

Hello guys, I need all your advice. I’ve looked at a Volvo V40 from 1999. Lots of space and actually good condition. Smaller rust bubbles on a fender and rear wheelwheel, which I would let away directly from the paintr. The driver’s seat is also ripped open, I don’t care……either get a used one or bring to the saddler. So far ABS sensors, exhaust, climate compressor, and other things have been made. Brakes this year new. The engine is e in 1.8l with 116Ps and has almost 200,000km on the hump. Timing belts made verifiable at 120,000km, as well as any service. Clutch has not been made yet, but is amazingly good because the vehicle was moved almost only on the highway. But I was now advised from all sides that because of the V40 there is no more Volvo, but garbage?? Cars, electrics, engine all scrap? Who can tell me more exactly about the engine and the car? As said, I am not looking for a racing car, but a b illustrious everyday vehicle….. I am grateful for every opinion and promise that I will continue to contribute to this in the future in terms of Volvo…. Greetings Michael

  • Exchange cooling water/refrigerants?

Hello, dear moose community, our moose is now going into the 11th year and still drives with the first cooling water filling. My question: Do you want to replace the stuff once and for all? If so, how is this done? Which hoses do I have to remove in order to empty the system as far as possible? Can I then refill the system via the balancing tank? Thank you in advance for your (hopefully numerous) answers. Best regards from the north

  • Klappern and Scheppern with loud music

Since I had enjoyed the premium sound system, I also want to write something about it briefly, is the 3rd contribution and then it is enough for today. It bothers me, that with bass and loud music everything is scraping. Above all door panels and B-pillar knärzt. Does someone have an idea, except to turn the music down? I don’t have the problem with radio music, no DAB. But only with the iphone, I hardly hear CD, so I don’t know, are only songs of Itunes loaded, therefore no self-created M P3 ́s. I would still understand the lack. But it’s so shaky in the side paneling that it sometimes gets annoying. Also I have to say the XC60 is rather a small flap-relch. But is also a lot of technical stuff on board. But when I drive the mini convertible of my wife, then I honestly fear that the car falls apart and that is also only 1st year old and has not even 10000 km… Only otherwise it was always so quiet in the Volvo… it is here and there. safety belt, sometimes the cover of the engine at certain speeds… small things about what other brands offer so. whining at a high level. And the design is simply hot…there is no nicer SUV on the market at the moment. That’s what you have to leave to the guys from Volvo who are currently building really nice cars… considering how boring a golf comes along and that for more than 30 years.
