motor clacking after cylinder-coupling change
Moin! I am Philipp from neustrelitz and have a problem with a volvo v70 2.4 140ps. The volvo belongs to a colleague. He came to me after having driven with a broken cooler for several kilometers. Engine was still starting, however, evaporated exhaust gases from the coolant balance tank. I removed the head and brought it to the plan. Engine repair kit has ground the head around 1mm plan. I reassembled the head with new seal and put everything together again. zt. Motor also immediately started again, but now it clacks alarmingly out of the engine room and white smoke comes from the exhaust. When I look through the oil fill cover I see that the hydro bearing is supplied with oil. Does someone have a tip for me? Thanks already in advance. Mfg philipp.

Starting difficulties after various repairs.
So friends, now a very strange problem. V70 1 Bj. 2000 B5244S2 2.4 liter displacement 140 hp automatic. I recently carried out 3 repairs: – timing belts + WaPu, since already a year over – spark plugs, because during the timing belt change noticed that these were very far down (new spark plugs are from Bosch, have changed smaller electrode radius (R5) than the previous Beru (R6) – oil trap, because unfortunately I had undefinable oil loss. It did not form a laugh, but the Moto r was more than oil moisture or bitsl wet. Had to tip back about 1 liter. Unfortunately the old suction bridge seal + Loctite had to use heat stock, because Skandix delivered the wrong seal!! Before these repairs there were problems described above; -motor oil moisture – to small loss – sometimes unround idle in felt rather wet weather I could pull without problems a horse hanger. After the repairs the engine ran perfectly and cleaner than ever in the time the i However, today I attached the horse trailer, drove about 30 km and when I started again I had to org for a longer time until the mill sprang up, then the engine ran a little rough in idle. Is the change for a layman in acceptable time or should the screwdriver do it around the corner for me? I don’t really want to invest more than two hours. Engine death at 94000
Hello! On my Volvo S40 2,4 last Saturday a conrod broke down and hit me through the engine block. Through the resulting hole in the engine it caught fire. I then (stupidly) extinguished this fire. Now the learned, what is the cause. I had an LPG gas system installed at the KM stand of 89000. Until this time the engine ran flawlessly. Oil consumption was not a topic at all. However, the engine damage was caused by oil shortages. But I had not checked the oil 400 KM before and it was at the maximum level. On Friday last week the car was to adjust the gas system at the company Oecotec in Lengerich. After that the car ran perfectly, at least 350 KM. Then it came to the said damage. 1.6 B engine does not start sporadic
Hello, I have a question for the (a few) 1.6 B drivers. I have the following “problem” every now and then: Every now and then the engine doesn’t start at the first attempt. The Anlsser normally turns the engine, even as fast as ever, but it doesn’t work. Even longer stops about 5 sec. doesn’t help. The second attempt then starts, but “shakes” partly from the speed cellar. (But goes fast) The whole thing only happens when the engine was warm and the car then 1-5 hours It has never been for shorter or longer breaks. The whole thing rarely happens, since the new software 2 months ago exactly 2 times. In the error memory there is nothing, the Frendliche knows nothing about it. But I’m surprised. Does anyone have an idea? Does the error occur with others too? Perhaps also with other engines? A mechanic from Volvo has once typed the key, so I will try the other one. Thanks Torsten

my new c70 and its faults 🙁
Hi to all unfortunately I no longer had time to write here since my new c70 was finally there. he has now almost 9oo km on the clock after 5 weeks and was gently drive in, heist I come with 62 liter ultimate super proud 750 km far ! the consumption of my c70 is below that of the small c30 with 170 ps !I have 140 hp. c30 ha ? yes I have to drive a c30 at the time of volvo ,unfortunately !Why ? the car I got on 11 september it had no processing defects at first Look! unfortunately only on the 2nd! 1. 2year inspection
Tomorrow we picked up our Volvo V50 2.0D from the inspection. Result: I am at 230€ poorer and the problems could not be solved. The problems were: clattering back right, playing in the passenger seat, when switched down, the car sometimes gives gas on its own and keeps the speed instead of braking by motor brake (on straight track). So I had brought the oil myself (SLX R-Tec 0-W30) since however only 5.5 L should be pure I assumed a Half a liter to get back. So I did, only half a liter that I got back was not the fully synthetic Castrol SLX R-Tec 0-W30, but a Castrol GTX 5-W30! Then I asked and the friendly one poured half a liter into a barrel and filled me with half a liter of SLX R-Tec 0-W30. V 50 suitable for families?
Hello, I’m thinking if we should get a V 50. Have two children (9 and 7) who populate the rear seats. Now I’ve been sitting in it once, if the driver’s seat is set for me, I find the knee clearance in the back acceptable, but my feet just fit under the driver’s seat. The Volvo has some kind of doll in the footroom back, so I can’t move the feet anymore. Does anyone of you drive a V50 with children in the back? Is the space available ok? Or is it going to be fast too tight? I don’t care about the luggage compartment, in case of doubt a roof box comes along, then it fits anyway. By the way we drive now nn V70 D5 (163 hp), which is nice big, but you drive just a lot alone, short distance or city, and there I find it rather tacky and a little “unjointed”.
