Moin moin allemeinand, since I (unfortunately) have “a hole” in the cylinder head gasket, I am looking for a replacement engine and saw in the following ‘bay offer’ a (for me) funny-looking part in the rear view of the (girl) engine there. http://www.ebay.de/itm/271239921268?… or article no. 271239921268 (if the link does not work). There comes some ‘tube’ with ‘pot’ on the cylinder head(or valve cover) that there is no with my 2.5er/850/10V (mal abss This part can’t be seen in other offers; as far as I’ve seen – neither in V70-I nor in 850s. Does anyone have an idea about what it is? Could one somehow ‘deadly’ – perhaps difficult, since DORT is probably just a hole ‘in the head’ ?! Thanks in advance already for possible analyses.

Volvo C70 T5 Wekssport suspension how deep?
Hello all, I have before my work side sports springs to exchange for H&R or Vogtland springs. Complete suspension is not possible for me. A friend of mine decrypted my VIN and let me out an excerpt of my equipment. Among other things, it also says ‘Volvo Sport suspension with 30mm lowering’ now I’m a bit confused, I always thought it was only 20mm, it could be that there was this option with 30mm. Maybe someone has installed exactly these springs and d can tell me a short experience best still the comparison to the original (sport) suspension, if you can call it that. The reason for the change is, the very nervous driving behaviour gives me the suspension back too much feedback thus it seems very hard and almost at the limit. My dampers have been installed new, which is why I only want to change springs.

Consumption V70 III, D5, 205 hp, AWD
Hello together, Here’s something about consumption (and two other things) of my new V70 D5, 205 hp, AWD. After about 5,000 km I can’t reach it under 9.5 l/100 km even with the most economical driving method. I drive about 40 to work every day, of which about 25 km are motorways. I have little hope that this is because the car has not yet entered properly. Can’t imagine that the consumption is still significantly down. I notice, however, that the engine is so low from about 30/35 km I have the feeling that it takes quite a long time to get really warm… In addition, the vehicle has a terrible smell every 1-2 weeks, like burnt oil/diesel. (definitely not coming from the heater). I was lucky and could show this to the dealer last Saturday, along with light smoke from the engine room. After a few minutes i The heater is still extremely loud when it closes, or I start the heater manually. My dealer will check the vehicle from tomorrow, then we’ll see what happens. Maybe it all hangs together somehow, but maybe they don’t even find anything. I’ll keep you up to date. Greeting Georg

So yes: the XC60 R-Design comes to the new model year!
Cool: according to the Swedish car magazine “Teknikens Värld” the new model year 2010 finally comes a R-version of the popular XC60. The design uses the well-known accessories such as bodykit in aluminium look, Achilles 19″ wheels and R-design sports steering wheel. New are the sports seats, which are similar to the XC90 R-design with white seams as well as the two-flood sports exhaust system. The XC60 R-design becomes white, electric silver, black, lemon green and signal be available in red and to be ordered at the start of the new model year 2010. (Juhuu!)Ach so: hier noch der Link!

How quickly does VOLVO Bank respond to a request?
Dear Volvo-Fangemeinde, on 9 June 2010 I wrote a qualified request to VOLVO Bank. The topic was to change the offer of VOLVO early on to a new vehicle. So to get to and offer – after 2 weeks then the information – is still too expensive! Responds to 100% of the statement of the VOLVO Bank, which gives me as a loyal customer a financial advantage. So a nice letter to the bank with the note the man a). The premium claim is not in line with the external appearance. I haven’t received an answer yet! I’m very disappointed that VOLVO wants to have one as a customer.

Catalyst defective, excess in warranty repair?
Hello together, unfortunately my Volvo V40, BJ 2001 – bought 8 weeks ago – the catalyst is broken. At first we thought that falls under the warranty, but after searching the internet and talking to dealers is probably not quite clear whether the cat is treated as a wear part or not and to avoid legal trouble, we have been able with the dealer to pay 2/3 and we 1/3 of the cost of the repair (first he wanted to make 50/50). 800 euros for the cat as well as a good hour of work, i.e. approx. 950 euros. Now I asked at a part dealer what the cat costs with him and he has called me a price of approx. 480 euros incl. VAT. and of course incl. his span. Original part, just as it is now installed. Am stinkesauer! May the dealer pay over 100% of the material value, if we participate in the costs with a certain percentage? His invoice goes great on… But we pay over 100 euros more! Have cancelled the workshop appointment now, because I don’t have a nerve to renegotiate with him and want to be sure of what the (legal) situation is like here. Have you had similar experiences or can you help me with anything else? Thank you for your help and nice greetings!

Improper mounting when changing the rim
Unfortunately, in winter my moose was unsuited….. This thin fold or envelope at the bottom of the threshold was covered and the rust protection damaged. At these places it starts to rust… It has already been months ago. The Tr*ttel used a jack, in which unfortunately these “rubber plates” were missing. I was already angry at that time, but the winter ices had to do it. I can’t accept damage claims. ? Or first primer/basic paint (this white stuff before you paint)? What does this fold look like for you? Is actually a rather weak spot when you see how thin the sheet is there, and what it theoretically has to endure.
