  • Small but powerful additional lights

Good day to the lighting specialists Is there any way to install *in* on a V70 AWD D5 (2007) additional headlights instead of *in front”. I would like to have more light, but the usual “pots” in the north above the carross series are too impractical and to be endangered in the city. (Park pushers by others and already the light width is not correct anymore). The installation could also be associated with effort in the sense of body adjustment, which would still be worthwhile given the expected life of the car (to hold 12 or 20 years). Technically, there are lights that are small and for which perhaps already a installation place would be found. They should also not stand below and reduce the ground clearance (and edge stone “freedom”. For ideas best thanks.

  • My S60 is clapping somewhere in the back…

Hello, my S60 D5, 11.2007, 90TKM, Momentum clatters somewhere in the back. It sucks immensely. It’s nothing from the engine, it starts when the road only gets a bit worse. I can’t locate it. The seats worked, was louder – so something in the trunk. Everything looked through, got out – nothing was better! There I put the seats up again and had the feeling it won’t get quieter – but not trunk? Well my question – I used SuFu and read that I’m not standing there alone with the problem. Some write about noises from the hat rack and also roof sky behind should have called in. What did you do to turn it off? Any foam parts stuffed in somewhere, or what? Maybe I can do something with it according to the motto – error… Thanks for help Jaro

  • XC60-MY12 Cold start problem ? engine makes noise

Hello people, (my first forum, my first entry, hopefully it’s so right) have a Volvo XC60 / Automatic 163PS Built 07/2012 , EZ03/13 , bought 01/14 with 25tsd KM. At minus degrees the engine makes a noise which is not quite awesome to me. The colder, the more intense the noise. Warm the engine is a force. I would describe the noise like this: underground, towing “tock, tock, tock”. Of course, a cold diesel doesn’t sound really great, it just lacks the smoothness. My VOLVO dealer showed me, when I asked for the noise, a leader. The stood for days in the corner and when I started the engine, at -5degrees, he listened coldly, but without that noise from mine. Unfortunately, we had now +8degrees and my dealer did not notice anything. No noise had to say any noise, but with bad luck is only possible next winter… at night and on Frost there’s only hope?

  • V50 1.6 Relay click in the fuse box (interior) – car no longer starts

Hello, I have a V50 1.6 DriveE 2012 BJ. The car was standing about 6 days. Today tried to start. Keys in, turned upside down and all lights in the tacho have flashed/flaked and stayed out at some point. After that a click noise has appeared under the glove compartment. I think a relay in the fuse box? As I see it, there is only one relay in the interior. Can you easily try to expand/change it without finishing the battery? After a while (about 1h) the click has stopped. When I then put keys in (0 position) no click noise. On 1 position it starts again with clicking. On 2 or 3 position it stops. If I then pull out the key the click remains again. I can no longer even operate the central lock with my key. Tacho also shows nothing anymore. So I have found a similar problem here (unfortunately only in English):https://www.volvoforums.org/showthread.php? the clickspace was uploaded.

  • Volvo v50 5 cylinder purchase recommendation on what to pay attention to

Hello, I think I’m really soon the most famous one asking what you have to pay attention to etc So, yesterday when looking for a car in netzt I bumped over the Volvo v50, optically I like it quite well. But won’t be a wonder of space like zb an 80 or so. But 5 cylinder turbo, that sounds nice to you. How sensitive is the engine and the turbo? And generally what weaknesses and strengths does the car have. Ps, I heard to have read that the engine is also installed in the Ford focus st.

  • Volvo engine bearing Upstairs suitable rubber bearing

Hi, I want to change my upper engine bearing because my old one has broken through. I already have the old one outside and now 2 new rubber bearings there. My problem now is that the new bearings both have a diameter of 60mm and the ring where the bearing is pressed in has an inner diameter of 58.3mm. I have ordered Fhrzspecifically, Volvo 850 144Ps 9101/701. What now? Where do I get the right bearing from? I have read from the poliers, but I don’t want to have any vibrations.

  • Climate problem – C70

Hi, since the costages with over 35°C there are my auto-climate on the highway no longer works. The following phenomena: – When the engine gets warmer, the air becomes warm & humid (no longer cools) – the air light stays on! – You can get the cooling back to the compressor from time to time, if you completely shut down for a time. – In the state the climate goes quite well. – In the case of gases / over 180km/h nothing goes anymore… – In case of a motorway stop I have put 4 liters of cold water in the direction of a compressor, in order to cool off the magnetic clutch disc – and see there: The part cooled again – EISKALT! But only for about 10km, in case of a steady motorway traffic (80-100km/h). So I first got to a big break of the compressor-well-out was not quite a problem in July.

  • Who am I?

…was not only a TV show, but is sometimes an idea of me that you can get to know yourself better here if necessary. Who wants to write something about himself here. The scope he determines himself. A game rule should be adhered to: It is WER I , not WHAT am I, so it is not about scale thinking higher faster and so on. Maybe this also creates regional contacts or networks that are good for all sides. Everything can not have to be. I just start with criteria that can be supplemented as desired. 1.) Age: 43 2.) Occupation: balance bookkeeper, employed 3.) Home: Schwalm-Eder-Kreis, Nordhessen 4.) How to get to Volvo: Already always sympathy, come from “VW-Past” 5.) Since when Volvo: 03.2003 6.) Favoritevolvo: C70 Coupe I, V90, V70 II FL 7.) How satisfied have you been with Volvo (VCG, dealer, workshop): Already very satisfied 8.) Have you (improvement) suggestions for this forum: Live and let yourself be creative 9.) Basically you have Kju? What kind of technical strength?

  • V70 year 2002-2003 Sales advice – Diesel vs. petrol

Hello dear people, I would have needed advice. I would like to buy a V70 year 2002-2003. Unfortunately, I am not so sure if it should be petrol or diesel. I tend to have more diesel. Unfortunately, I have no experience with Volvo Diesel. And in the price class where I’m looking, most are over 250 tkm, one even over 400 tkm. Can I possibly give you advice. How are the diesel engines of Volvo. What is more durable diesel (163 Ps) or gasoline (140 Ps)? What is cheaper from the maintenance? Bzw. From repair? What is more repair prone? I assume that there are no differences between gasoline and disel in the electronics. I know that the series (v70 2000-2007) has quite a lot of problems with the electronics. Is that really so? What do you have to pay attention to when buying V70 (benzin and diesel) in principle? I would be very grateful for some advice. I used to have a S60 Bi-fuel 2007 Inscription. But having problems with the car has been quite a bit of good warranty. But I still had a bit of advice.

  • V70 III – Ex-works heater – Webasto Thermo Top V replacement heater

Hello together, with my V70 more often the stationary heating was on strike last winter. Since error memory was read out and reset only at short notice, I now want to replace the complete heater. I can then overtake the old heater and either use it as a replacement or sell it. This is probably the most sustainable solution. Has anyone ever made the exchange? The exchange at Volvo amounts to more than 2000 €, whereby the heater itself stands at 1800 € on the estimate. However, I find this unusually high, but according to Volvo this is the price for the heater. The non-binding oral statement of a Bosch service (Webasto representation) had the heater with approx. 800 €. Here I will ask again. Does anyone know whether the webasto Thermo Top V installed from the factory is somehow adapted to Volvo or is this the same model that I would get at the Bosch service? Already thanks for your answers.
