Hello! Ride a V70 Bifuel CNG, 2003 Bj. Used the car with approx. 120 000 km and now already exceeded the 150 000 mark. Runs perfectly. However, about 1 times a month the engine control light lights up – always at warm start! disappears after some start operations again. Have read out errors: Ignition breakers First you have replaced ignition coil. At last service they informed me that it was probably on the fuel filter. Unfortunately was not so, because about 5 weeks after service the lamp was back again. Has maybe someone know what that could be. Need on 10000 km good 2 liter engine oil. At 140000 km service was filled fully synth. 5 W 40. Consumption has not really changed however. Is such a consumption for my elk (CNG) normal or I have to worry about. Conversion Instrument Lighting V50, Arbitrary Deception by Volvo?
Hello dear ones, I am Wednesday now my V50 D5. He has green instrument lighting, that’s to break. I’ve been quite confused about Volvo. On the Volvo homepage in the configurator the ads are clearly white, also the friendly dealer said that the lighting was changed in the course of the MJ 07 to white (analog new S80 and XC90). Obviously that’s not so. Volvo seems to be deliberately deceiving the customers, who wants to have an unsightly and terrible green lighting with red pointers nowadays? Here’s my question, have you had the lighting changed before? If yes, where? How much is the fun? Who has experience? I will write a letter to Volvo on the weekend, in the USA a product liability would be enforceable, but here in Germany? I find this from Volvo outraged. That has something of a mischievous delusion. What do you think?

Motor vehicle tax
Hello, I am a little irritated because of a car tax notice that I received today. I have paid 308 EUR car tax for my V50 2.0D with particle filter (Euro 4), first registration 05/2005 so far. Now the tax office wants to look at me retroactively on 01.04. a tax increase of 1.20 EUR per 100 cc. So I should pay in the future 332 EUR per year. However, after all that is known to me, this tax increase applies only to diesel vehicles without particle filter. Can it be that the tax office has been wrong with me? How is that with you? As I have just read, the tax increase applies also to Euro 4 vehicles, which do not comply with the future Euro 5 limit value of 5 mg carbon particles per kilometer. Can it be that our particle filter does not achieve this limit? I can honestly not imagine it. Then it would be meaningless – at least as far as the tax side is concerned. Phase1 V40 TD switch to clear glass headlights need Help pls
Hello guys, would like to upgrade my elk V40 TD 1997 to clear glass headlights. Either in the phase2 look (unfortunately the side of MikeTDI down) or in some retrofit headlights possibly with integrated flasher ala Ebay or something like that. I know that there are already n pile of Freds on this topic, but either they refer to the side of Mike which is no longer On or are so old that the links to recommendations on Ebay are no longer valid. So my request to you: Did one of you find any guidance similar to that of Mike on the net? Or where can I buy qualitatively good and price acceptable sets, best in black and incl. Buying a car: Volvo V40 with 225tkm (BJ96) 2.0 136hp? What to consider?
Hi! Would you like to buy an “old” Volvo V40 2.0 100kw. Problem with the thing is that the car has already a good 225tkm down. From the outside it looks quite fine. I planned to try the car on the weekend. What should I pay special attention to, not to buy a “thinking moose”? – What are the changing intervals for the timing belt? – familiar problems with the model series/engine? – Is the engine already “finished” with 225000km? Sensus questions
Moin, my V60 is finally there – detailed report and pictures on the WE. have a few questions about the Sensus at first: – I have activated automatic locking of the doors, but when I finish the drive I assume that the doors will unlock again – nada, they stay locked. Is that what I wanted or am too stupid? – I have connected a Galaxy S via Bluetooth. Now it comes along: everything works perfectly, only when I get out of the car starts playing the mp3 player of the phone via the mobile phone speaker. This has something to do with the streaming function, but I don’t get it disabled. Does anyone know the Prob and know a solution? Otherwise a great car.

Hello people. I’m sorry that I opened up a new topic again. I just didn’t find the right answer in the existing one. my colleague has a V40 T4 year 2001 with original subwoofer back right. I think he’s passive. my colleague doesn’t know electrics so well, I have a golf 3 myself, but know me well with electrics (professional electronics). we want to install a blue-point active subwoofer in the suitcase room. now the question: where can I pick up the sound signal for the subwoofer? simply with the original in the side wall? where do I get the remote signal for the subwoofer? current cable is clear to me, from battery in the interior to the rear. the original radio (volvo radio with cd and cassette) we want to keep on every case. as I said, I come from the VW Golf 3 world and therefore don’t know me so much. I hope that someone can explain it friendlyly.

V50 D5 Year of construction 11/06
Hello I have a Volvo V50 D5 year 11/06 summun with approx. 20,000 km in the eye. would be my first Volvo as an alternative to the A4 and would like to have some advice or answer: 1. one reads the needs a lot of diesel, according to car picture 7.6 this is still true in the green area. am rather a speedy driver on the highway also about 200, if it is possible, therefore yes this motorization. but I don’t want to have a sip woodpecker, but what does it need at the speed is also clear. 2. did there afterwards the facelift if serious? 3. what is the resale value, or the demand, as I use in business it can be that I want to sell it again in then after 1 year with an additional 30,000 km 4. Hello to the Volvo community! I’m seriously considering my Bavarian Brummer (E39 540ia on LPG) for a current S40. The last years were nice but it makes me itch again to drive something new. With the BMW I had good experiences, only unfortunately I had before him an Alfa 156, which has seen the workshop more often than I my girlfriend. For this reason I would like to inform myself before the purchase about the weaknesses of the car. I think about buying the 2,4i or 2,4T and then to upgrade to LPG. Are with the S40 or V50 any defects known, also those from early years of construction at the beginning of 2003? Fahrwerk? Kats? Motor? Gears? Electronics? I am interested in all childhood diseases! Actually, I am on the road in the 4F-area, but since at the end of the year a second car/cabrio is to be purchased, I come here to inform myself a little. As can be seen from the title, I have only two cars left to be selected under. First of all the minimum requirements, which have crystallized over the last months: – tin roof – automatic – diesel – 4 seats So it is easy to see that there are hardly any models on the market that meet the above-mentioned requirements. Test drives will be made the next weeks. I have already opened a post in the BMW-area, but would like to hear a few opinions here among the Volvo drivers.
