My XC90 (2017) is currently in the Volvo workshop for tour-like maintenance. At the time of the delivery I had stated that the sliding roof causes problems. It only opens very slowly and the engine sounds very tormented. It’s a bit better to do so. My hope that maybe only a little too “lubricated” has been shattered today: According to Master, the whole sliding roof has to be exposed or expanded, since the mechanic has to reach the Bowden trains and the rail system. To do so, the sky has to be dismantled. Day task –> Costs around the 3,000,- Euro. It’s probably the Bowden trains completely “dry” and worn out, so that the mobility is no longer given. That’s probably what happens, among other things, when you use the sliding roof WENIG for details. Now I ask myself: what’s little? I’m already using it regularly in the summer. Also, general weather conditions incl. Tauwasser and triggering for such problems were eventually considered. However, the service has never been evaluated in the field?

Purchase advice XC90
Hello, I’m currently looking for a used XC90: It’s my first Volvo. Before that, I only had vehicles from the VAG group. And I have been able to experience with some expensive problems… I drive with the car about 15tkm a year. Mostly then routes with 20km upwards. In the thread it’s mainly about the following topics: Is the XC90 (diesel like gasoline) otherwise rather problem-free? From other manufacturers I know such problems as oil dilution by defects piston rings, high pressure pump, injectors, DPF or rust on the car. I have read about this at the XC90 forum nothing like that at all. Or did I read it over??? here I already read as an example as a tip that absolutely the 360° camera should be on board. For me it would still be important that I have decent seats with extended leg rests, but they are not there at the moment, only at Inscription or R-Design… Do you have further recommendations? If you can not give me a few points in advance – Alex has already one thing to say and thank you for it.

Volvo xc90, t8 charging from the socket is not possible
Hello, charging with the cable from the socket is suddenly not possible, the LED on the charging socket lights yellow. The charging cable is ok. While driving, the charging of the high-voltage battery is possible by display. In the factory state the error code BECM-P0AA668 and BECM-P0AA668 is read out. Supposedly the IGM module should be replaced, but the workshop can not guarantee that the error is fixed and the charging with the cable would be possible again. The KV is almost 4500 €. This is a lot of money without knowing that everything will be ok again. The IGM module (if the error is not fixed by this) can not be returned. So in the worst case I remain at the cost also with the broken car. If someone has experience with this problem with Volvo xc90, t8, year 2016. I am very grateful for every advice.

Screwdrivers wanted in Switzerland and Bavaria!!!
Good evening dear community, have been the owner of a V70 1 built in 1997 2.5 10V 144 hp So now to my problem… Have problems with the ignition system as I suspect.. When I drive up under Last Berg the engine stutters more times less in warm condition.. Have replaced today the more badly patched hoses from the previous owner to the air filter box and the control unit against new ones. Result: gas acceptance more noticeable difference, but my problem with the stuttering under load at mountain on drives at 2000-3000 revolutions in the 2nd and 3rd gear has unfortunately not been spared.. I ask for help what can be the problem in your opinion.. Ignition plugs, distributor, ignition cable or the ignition coil ??? thank you in advance for your help.

Ground Zero Soundsystem
Hello dear Volvo municipality, I wanted to ask if someone already has experience with the loudspeakers of Ground Zero, because my tweeters in the dashboard and one of the speakers and the rear doors are unfortunately defective and I am thinking about upgrading. I have thought about whether I take Koax speaker in front or whether that sound image changes too much. If someone already has experience with the loudspeakers of Ground Zero or has suggestions which I should rather buy I would be very happy about an answer.

Start problems 850 T5R, camshaft sensor?
What do you need to do again? Patient: 850er T5R BJ. `95, LL 180.000km, timing belt made new problem: From time to time the guy just doesn’t want to start !!! You have to wait a little bit, try again, a little bit and then get really angry. Then suddenly he jumps on, as if nothing had been. Although he always needs some turns to ignite. But during the whole organ egg it never smells like ‘Sprit. So I changed the infamous Relay 103 (fuel pump) before. A few days was then also quiet. But unfortunately only a few days. Error message camshaft positioners. Have deleted errors, again everything was ok. Then the Lambdasonde went on (of course the light for the LS). Error message now: 1. Lambdasonde( front of the cat) and camshaft sensor broken. Or did I have to clear the errors again and Lambdasonde stays out. But car wanted to start again today only under protest. How should I take the most convenient approach? Can you clean the sensor? Can’t? The probe doesn’t?

Ignition capel isolation
Moin together, the days I drove with my elch for a time on the autobahn “strack”. after a certain time people took the motor sign and the motor jerked when giving gas – one cylinder is gone, as it turned out. the nice man from the adac then switched 2 ignition coils and see as it ran again. errors deleted everything in butter. now my question: the insulation cable of the ignition plugs is porous and dropped, i.e. the ignition plug cables (I mean it was 2 each) are directly on the engine block. the nice one from the adac I mean should install a new cable for protection from heat, because probably due to the heat development it came to a short conclusion. at skandix z.b. there are heat hoses, are these suitable for this purpose?

Volvo V70 2.5 Automatic with 144 Ps
Hello, I’ve become reasonable again, and just changed from Daimler to Volvo again. I’ve been driving the V70 as a diesel for quite some time, but not as a gasoline engine. Now I’ve got an offer for a 99’2.5 Benz. 144Ps with automatic and 230Tkm. The car is supposed to be in the garage, but I have no idea where I have to pay attention to it, except for the standard. Is the automatic something good? Are there technical highlights that I should pay attention to…. I’m grateful for every tip.

Oil consumption D5 163 PS
For decades I checked the oil level regularly with every car.Now with my V70 with a service interval of 20,000km I thought that the inspection was no longer necessary. Modern engine, corresponding control information of the on-board computer etc. Yesterday I was with my dealer (new German “friendly” for my additional heating (makes noises) and an upgrade of the telephone SW. With a friendly smile I was informed that my oil level had to be brought to normal level with well one litre (10,000 km after the last inspection) and I should please check it regularly. Now it comes. There is no warning indicator when the minimum value is reached. Only with the new engine version has been installed. But only because one has had bad experiences. Drivers who have “heated” somewhat sharper after 3000 – 4000 km have already been rewarded with empty oil tank or engine damage. There is sufficient experience from Volvo that this engine is a good oil consumer. What do you know about it, or am I so blue-eyed?
