as so often – the question is actually already in the topic. the five cylinders are known to be not gas-resistant – what do you have to do to convert to gas-resistant, how long could this take and how much could it cost? maybe someone even has a “rebuilder” at the start… or even better someone who already installs properly prepared motor components in exchange for the non-gas-resistant. however, it would be important that the engine number remains the same. I am grateful in advance for every hint.

Hello, in recent times more requests for conversion to clear glass headlights are coming up for the Phase I models. So I think it’s time to discuss the topic of satisfaction and quality – but also about the price in detail. I think about points like: 1. where did you get the clear glass headlights? 2. which manufacturer is this? 3. how expensive were these? 4. were there problems with the installation? 5. were you satisfied with the light output? 6. how did you rate the headlights qualitatively? 7. what year did your elk have? 8. what connections did you have with the old Funzeln? 9. which H7 lamps you use? Car gas tank in the XC70 where? How big?
Have I got an XC70 Bj 2001 and would like to equip it with LPG-system. – How can I reach as wide a range as possible with little space consumption? – Is an underfloor tank possible with the type? – or maybe two tanks? – Can one separate the bottom of the spare wheel pit to mount a large hollow tank? Would be nice 85 L gross, much better of course 100 L. I’m curious about your tips!

Alternatives to the XC60-D5-AWD ?
Hello Volvo fans, was here a few months ago longer (other user name) and already had the purchase contract for an XC60-D5-AWD on the table … but then it became a C5-240Hdi (with the ingenious V6-PSA-Ford-Diesel, as it can be found at JLR). Now I have moved and absolutely need an all-wheeler to get home in winter (Waldweg with >10% incline) the following fixed conditions: 1) SUV due to convenient entry/exit and overview (all “normal” cars with all-wheels out of view, also an XC70 or Audi all-road) 2) gears (=>GLK and many others out) 3) stand heating available from factory (=>X1+X3 and many small SUVs out) As far as I have explored the market, remains as an alternative to the XC60: – Q5 Diesel/Benziner – Tiguan-Diesel (no standhzg at the gasoline) – RR?

Can any company program coolant and oil temperature into the BC at the V60?
Unfortunately, the V60 no longer has a coolant temperature indicator – not to mention an oil thermometer. Volvo has no solution available, I have already requested from Heicosportiv – no chance! Does anyone know perhaps a company that could program the Tempis into the BC? is available via OBD anyway, so should technically not be a larger sample, right?

Ashtray too small!!! Conversion kit???
Hello guys, have been just under a week a Volvo V40 1,9D Bj.00 etc. Actually until now a super car, the only flaw is the small ashtray which is still in the wrong place. I ash every morning when dark is next to it. Isn’t there any conversion set for the center console? Under the radio there is enough space because of the free storage compartment. Where the ashtray usually belongs. And since I don’t want to miss out on my cigarettes I have to think of something. Hope someone can help me further. Thanks in advance, Berger666

Hello Volvo municipality , especially V40 T4 Was today a used Audi A4 1.8T Avant drive (Multitronic)… After that cashier crash and hey, why should it not be a Volvo V40. There I get for less Euronen equal power (PS) and less Km on Tacho, and while searching in this forum I somehow have the impression that the Volvos seem more reliable , or deceives the impression 😉 Concretely: Is there here ex-A4 1.8T Avant drivers who are today with a V40 T4 more than happy ? Lower rear suspension V40
Hello! Now I have to ask something: My V40 T4 Bj. 98 (i.e. Ph.I) had extremely soft feathers in the back. It opened up to me at every small shaft at the back. Now I made it with H&R feathers. 35mm lower. The road position has become very, very good – only he pulls the tail a little bit. Is there a possibility to make it in the back in 10-20mm higher? Other feather plates e.g.? Then I might need a manual in German, as my kpl. is in English. Should anyone have to leave one, then to me. Where do I get cheap headlights? I already have clear glass, but through a lot of stone blows are the no more soooooo the hit. Should I buy in the bay? or do you have other sources?? At my turn signal switch the “trap” does not always rattle in the steering wheel? That means first that I have to take out 80 % of the turn signal again with my hand. Had the disguise already off and WD40 brings no success. If I can push the finger with no cover? The problem is there!

Gearbox Reduced function warranty ?
Hello municipality, yesterday we were surprised on the highway, with the error mentioned in the title. We bought the car there 10 months ago from a Volvo dealer. After Volvo Assistance sent us the ADAC, the yellow has read out the error memory and recognized a time error in the circuit and meant that a new software has to be installed there (as described in the other forum contributions) Well my question… Is this one thing that still has to be repaired by the Volvo dealer (where I bought the car) or do I have to pay for it myself? Operation Phone via the MY09 steering wheel keys
Hello, I’ve got the “Telephone GSM with hands-free device integrated in my V50 MY09. From the previous one (V50 MY05) it’s the same from the voice quality, especially in difficult reception conditions, a real improvement. Actually great. But… the operation via the steering wheel keys has become significantly worse. In the old one you got with the upper steering wheel button into the telephone menu and could control all functions. With the lower button it went into the “Search” function of the phone book. Then you could enter several letters via the numeric keys, actually a normal, comfortable search function. In the new one it’s no longer possible. You get through both steering wheel keys directly into the phone book and can enter only one letter. If you enter the second letter, then it is taken as a new initial letter and the phone book “jumps” there. Example: I search “Wolff” and enter “W” again. The phone book shows the first entry with “W”, we just take it from “Weber”. Then I enter a “O” and the phone book does not jump to the first place.
