  • Frankfurt. Help sought. Windshield wiper failure

    Hello. Since it looks as if our holiday ends tomorrow in Frankfurt before it really started, I ask here if someone can help me in the greater Frankfurt area. So far the windscreen wipers of the windshield did not cause any problems at all. On the journey through the permanent rain from Hanover to the south I pressed the Sprueh button for the rear windows cleaning shortly before Frankfurt. At that moment the front windscreen wipers are abruptly on in the pouring rain. the highway failed. The rear wipers did not go out at first. I then got off the highway. The fuse of the front windscreen wipers was burned through. Safety changed. For a moment it went. Continued driving again fuse defective. Again replaced. Again defective. The front windscreen wipers went after the safety swap also unevenly fast. The car is now standing at a workshop. But they give me little hope. Old car. No spare parts. Too little staff There might be someone here from the region who can help me. It should not fail at the money. The car has no maintenance jam and is in good condition. Maybe there is a solution or a tip. But maybe it is just too old for long trips. That would be a pity of course.

    Hello, I have been the proud owner of a 850 T5 from 96 for about a week.At the moment I am making it nice again… rust away, engine compartment free of oil, vacuum hoses renew, rust away, a few parts repaint, etc. Now I wanted to start the engine and unfortunately have to find out that it has no sparks of ignition or fuel injection. The petrol pump relay works and in the injection strip comes also strong liquid. h… that was the problem with my vacuum cleaner. Ignition is new except for the ignition coil (everything from the previous owner). Furthermore, I checked all fuses… unfortunately no defect. Can’t turn it off, because it doesn’t have the flashbox like my vacuum cleaner bj.92 and my OBD2 plug doesn’t want to connect to the moose. Does anyone have an idea or a solution of how to turn it off without driving it on the trailer to the friendly one? Or does someone have an idea on w Since I’m already there… how do I get the control unit with the metal tape over it? My suction cup has two hexagon screws… In addition, I found a kind of vacuum box on the gearbox, with three connections on it and a rubber part with two holes in it to screw it on somewhere. Where does the part belong? have not found any room for it yet.

    Hello, I have now for almost 14 days my send V70 I Bj. 1998 everything tiptop in shot and runs like a one….. …..however: With me the windows affect as soon as I have turned on the heater. There is only a little bit of turning up already the windshield runs on. I can also not get this under control when I turn on the climate and put on disc ventilation (so top position at the ventilation) After some drive all the windows have started. This is prevented only when the climate is constantly on in disc ventilation mode. Is only asscold in winter. Air conditioning and heating function otherwise great. Someone’s idea? Otherwise I will have the ventilation cables checked! Thanks and fine laaanges weekend!

I drive a V70 year 1999 with the 2.5 20V engine (B5254S) with 121 kW. It has an electronic throttle valve and a “modern” ignition system. I would like to read out the fault memory, because the ABS light sometimes concerns. I know the problem with the cold soldering points in the control unit, but I want the control unit only as all back to the topic: because I have one of the more modern models of the first V70 I can not read this out with VOL-FCR (VOL-FCR should only work until year 1998) and not with Vida, because this only supports the newer models (as far as I know with CAN-Bus +- from year 2000). (I know that Vida is nevertheless extremely helpful because of the schematics, manuals etc., but here it should be read out) So what diagnostic tools/software do I need? LG, Max

    Hello Volvo friends, have a short question about the lighting of the on-board computer. Drive for 4 weeks a 850 station wagon, 2.5 l 170 HP, EZ 95. Have already repaired some things (dome warehouse back, minicat, headlight glass, rear lights). Today I replaced the 4 bulbs ( 12V 3 Watt) of the AI because 2 of them have failed. Was a quite simple thing thanks to the forum here. Now I have found that the lighting of the on-board computer no longer works. Now my question: Is the lighting of the BC related to the bulb of the AI or do I have to change the 2 pears of the BC lighting? Did I also possibly think that it might be due to the plug connection of the BC cable in the AI (e.g. wobble contact). Has any of you had this problem before? The VDO instrument is fixed. I would like to tell you briefly my experiences with the ABS error 443 (among other things): first of all; it is not over yet! at some point, as with many of us, the ABS/TRACS light began to glimmer… ok, error read out at VOLVO: 443 pump motor (electric or mechanical error) my measure: pump motor measured, also against mass and put on voltage… he turns! before I return 40 km to the VOLVO dealer’s roller and put 25 EURO for the read out again, have I still have all the contacts of the control unit soldered in a specialist workshop! from to Oldenburg in the contract workshop and see there… error 443 can be deleted but error 313 or 323 has occurred! so one or 2 new rear wheel sensor got and installed! then I have to save costs with SCUTYDE`s help a usb cable and BRICK-DIAG added in order to be able to read and delete errors on my own! Program started and successfully deleted the error of the left rear wheel sensor! what’s next? correct: error 443 and the best…doesn’t let yourself reset! a little annoying I made myself again to troubleshoot the pump engine but it seems to be all right! something stupid! does one of you still have an ECU for an 855 BJ 1996 with TRACS available? I could offer in exchange a same ECU without TRACS, fully functional,! to the emergency I also pay something on it! if someone could help, ic would be h very grateful because the TÜV is already overdue! thank you in advance!
