  • V70I going out without coolant?

    And on the 3rd day immediately the first pan… The oil lamp flickers, then goes completely on. 3min later shortly before the house door it jerks and the car goes off. Has then also ruckelig until not at all started. Coolant in the container completely empty and from the oil filler it squirted out. Water filled up, car runs out. oil lamp. The question, the weigh do not go out after the car has no water anymore? I don’t understand it… Temp indicator was normal, oil level is also ti p top. Hope that doesn’t cause any consequential damage. Head gasket was first re-made in dezember and then the system was pulled off and everything was dense car is now in the workshop, down from the cooler package front it drips out somewhere below. But the question with the going out I still ask myself… Someone ne idea ?

  • Volvo 850 radio wire harness

    Hello, I’m new here in the forum. Some know me from the polotreff. I bought a Volvo 850 as a limousine. EZ 12.92 Model year 93. Was thought as a cheap winter car, has now rather slipped into the category restoration Now to my question: As with almost all old cars were on the radio once again real pros! I bought the self help book for the 850 already. But from the schematics I don’t get quite smart. Volvo probably also has no system in the choice of its cable colors but rather a colorful mess…. On my car, the radio plug was cut off of course, but it still hangs on two cables that were not used. So I can reconstruct that. Doesn’t help me just because there are no adapters for it and the cable colors don’t match the colors in the schematics either. And then I would only have speakers in the dashboard. The speakers in the doors also have cables. h cut off and then extended to the radio. Why? I don’t know. What was cut off there? I don’t know. According to the schematic, even more cables would have to be on the plug that is missing. I got the radio, a SC-805 and the plugs with about 20cm cable from an S70 from the scrap. I go according to the cable colors match the colors of the cables on a plug with those of the speaker cable from the passenger footroom. But on the plug is still a thinner yellow-black This is not available in the car and not in the schematic. If I take the second plug and compare the cable colors with the plug that still hangs on two cables, I can connect everything except two cables. However, the cross-sections are partly different and the colors also slightly (other nuances). On the wire harness vehicle side a red and a white cable remain.     Hello dear forum colleagues! After two elks (MJ97 & MJ 2000) came to me I would like to say “hello” in the 850s/V70s forum. It started with a colleague who helped out in a workshop and was called as a tow driver to an accident. After cared for V70 with “little” kilometers (250tkm) are rather rare I decided to take up the red V70 (2.5 10V) and bring it back to the road. That’s why the silver (2.4 20V 140PS) came by chance. 420tkm) which should serve as a spare part dispenser. Meanwhile, however, I noticed that a lot of the electronics has changed for the MJ 2000 – but from the sheet metal it should fit (d made?!).   • Air conditioning: change condansator + dryer

    With my V70 (MJ00, petrol) the air conditioning (automatic) has been broken for > 1 year now. Would like to change that. Climate ran during the purchase, also permanently, climate compressor is quite new (2018), when switching on the clutch does not attract (no clapping grainable) and under UV light a leak on the capacitor connection is to be seen. -> I therefore assume that it is only empty, due to the leak. I would exchange now: capacitor and dryer are both still original parts, exchange seems nic It’s so complicated and if I understand it correctly, I should change the dryer bottle anyway, if the plant was empty for so long.     Hello dear community, I’m new to talk and new to volvo. Consequences of the problem I have: I bought myself a volvo v70 10v automatic gasoline from 1998 with 213,000 km. The vehicle ran ahead, and a week after the purchase quite normal, then after I had a defective glare lamp and an electric wheelchair crane, including wiring, which was developed by the previous owner, appeared on the journey afterwards a very illogical problem for me. the light switched off, and a “loud” relay was to be heard, the car only jumped on again when I turned the light switch to 0 position. Then in the engine room it smelled a bit like unburnt petrol. The car also now only runs when the light switch stands at 0, as soon as I press a flasher, the light or a window lifter the car goes off and this loud relay (I found out it is the light relay) is to be heard with 3 circuits, just like it is who n I only turn on the ignition without starting the engine, then activate the light switch. In addition, the windscreen wiper moves whenever the problem arises. I suspect a mass error, however, don’t know how to find it if it is one and doubt if it makes sense to have a workshop measured for hours.
