Hello dear Volvo friends, I have a question about the approved tyre sizes. I took over a volvo 850 bj. 93 from my mother because she bought a newer one. Now I was last Friday at the Tüv and the nice man from the Dekra has no badge, because it was allegedly the wrong tire size. The winter tyres are 195/65 R15 According to his computer program only 185/65R15 195/60R15 205/55R15 can be driven. Two years before he is with the sel As last Friday, the tires came over the Tüv without any problems. What is most surprising to me now is that the new 850 bj. 95 is completely 8-fold tyres with 195/65R15. And there were no problems with the last Tüv. Are the 65s not allowed? Thanks already. Reperature Air Mass Meter?
Hello, after the warning light “Error in the motor electronics” on my 93er 850 GLT no longer went out, I was now with Volvo. There was an error with the air mass meter detected. One would first try to check the cables and contacts. If this did not lead to the problem, one would have to exchange the LMM. Cost approx. € 300,00. Now my questions: 1. Can I check the contacts myself without great technical expertise? If so, where is this part? 2. Does this estimate come about (who has ever had such a reperture in the Volvo workshop). Or should you dodge ATU or free workshops in this case – or even do it yourself? 3. Have read somewhere that the consumption is also related to the LMM. Is that true? Greetings Mathias

Vibrating from 145km/h
Hello ! I’m an enthusiastic Volvo all-wheel driver (Freak) and I’ve never had any problems with Punto drive! The engines(Benzin) or gearbox(Automaton) have already been in their own way. Now with my current V70xc Bj98. switch M57. 160000km I have the following problem , from 145 km/h on the track the complete Fzg. starts to vibrate. The more speed the more annoying the Vibros. at 160 it gets to you the brain out. I myself am a little technically savvy and ha Be already Kardan and left front drive shaft replaced, without improvement of the Vibros. Wheels are to zero and have no height stroke, the brakes can not be either (no vibrations during braking). Please for help! Am currently kilometer eater , 500Km a week and does not want to be on the track with 130. Greetings to the Volvofreaks!

My moose doesn’t start anymore
It started with “Ruckle” with constant accelerator pedal. Then it went out in idle mode. Just got up to my garage. Now it doesn’t start. Starter turns, spark spark there, no petrol odor (on the exhaust), candles dry. At the valve, at the front right of the petrol line injection, fuel comes when I press the pin. Flow noise in the area of the injection a few seconds after “Züdung”. All plugs and contacts with special contact cleaner spray handle elt – no change. Error injection system read out: 2-2-3 (as first message). Today you will read out all errors of injection system/motor control and ignition system/motor control and then reset all errors. High oil consumption – Blue smoke
Hello Moose friends, need urgent advice! A few weeks ago the ZKD and the VSD were renewed due to blue smoke and high oil consumption in my 850s. 2-3 weeks everything was ok, then the same problem appeared again. Even after replacement of the oil trap no improvement in sight. I used to drive with 10W40 now 5W40. Fear that the piston rings are no longer in order. Is there still hope for my moose? 4 times H1 lamps – but which???
The MT search function is to the wüüüürggg… I would like to build 4 new H1, but which ones? To choose from: – Philips X-treme Vision – Philips Nightguide – Osram Nightbreaker I have to say that I am driving with light during the day (so really Swedish halt ). So I already thought about getting something more durable than dipped-beam and for the long-distanceglotters the meanest light swords (jajaaaaaaa, the poor counter-resistance and blablablabla… is Latte Quatsch, is only fun, I am eighth To hide on it at the right time… )

ABS sensors rear
Hello! I just noticed that the ABS sensors are mounted around the back right and left differently. Left the “rills” down and right up. Is that normal? Man can’t mount them around the wrong way, right? Background is the bright ABS lamp, so I wanted to clean rings and sensors.

Threaded suspension at V70 1
Hy, so now again a Fredaufwarmer. Unfortunately I found a lot of Weitec, but none for the V70 1. Do you have tips where I can get a Weitec for the V70 1, or who has a KW 2 ode 3 lying around? With me it is now safe, the original SportNivo suspension comes out, it is just too tight, better says my 2 broken intervertebral discs….. Although 2 or 3 years ago I re-entered all 4 dampers (original Sachs incl. nivomates), but I need something softer especially since in recent times there is no capacity to install channel lids. I will miss the nivomates very much, because this was already awesome, but a Nivo sports suspension with adjustment will not exist, at least I have found none. Only feathers, but that is not half & nothing whole. I have to do it this year. I still have slight thoughts about such a 350.- coilover suspension, but hmm if I get a Weitec or a very cheap KW, I will rather hit there. Brake pads/dishes from Barum/Polar Parts ok?
Hello Since the parking brake of my V70, Bj98, 2.5l, 144Ps pulls unevenly at the rear, and comes only literally on the last stop, I play with the thoughts of the rear axle fresh coverings, baking, disc brakes+mounting kits and possibly new brake ropes to buy. When searching for spare parts I hit the brand Barum, so far I only knew the brand of tires. Supposedly Barum is a second brand of ATE. Who has experience with barum brakes on our mooses ? Who has experience with the brake parts of PolarParts? Were now two cheap brands that are not immediately torn in the air on the Internet…. Does not want to build up the last dung, but ATE and Brembo have already “air down” from the price. Will also give brands the corner are cheaper but can be built without hesitation….
