moin, I think I’ve asked that before, but I have the hope that maybe there is still a possibility, or someone here has deactivated it and it has also been registered at tüv. my problem is just the airbag, I would like to have it completely removed from or at best, but from volvo side it is only possible if I would switch off the whole amature board, the airbag control unit and the buckle belt from the driver. but that would be a huge problem, sometimes there apart from that, I would have to get the whole material somewhere. who say at tüv, if volvo is not ok, you can not enter me a deactivated airbag either. here in the forum? I had read that it would be technically possible to deactivate the airbag, so it probably does not fail, apparently it only fails to do so because of the permission. *grmpf* with soon 4 children but I do not need an accompanying airbag, with active airbag can not be a child seat The child is sitting there and all of my children need a seat. and so I haven’t found an additional back bench yet, at least not for less than 450€. from the fact that I have always blocked the suitcase room, even if only I drive with the children. but I can squeeze the stroller into the passenger seat badly.

How can I install PU jacks without a rotary stick
Now that I have started to remove a little reperture I have encountered a problem and I find no solution there. I wanted to replace the socket of the upper engine bearing and get the old one out quite easily. Then one half of the PU sockets inside and the second one does not want to go in. I also tried with a vice but this stupid part always misunderstood itself. Now the part is still extended and now I have two questions: 1. Can I use drive the car even though the upper support is still missing? before it was also very loose… 2. How can I get the socket still in there? Does it go with cold (pack over night into the freezer? Thanks for the help….

Change main silencer
Good Tach, my good old man has been running his exhaust gas into the cabin instead of the rear pipe for some time in the stand. A Volvo workshop diagnosed after a look “crazy leak and silencer broken – 130€”. I was then in my very appreciated self-help workshop and there was found that actually very little exhaust gas comes out of the exhaust (comparison with other existing cars). An obvious (visible or noticeable) leak in the dump (the Stach) This is why I would like to change the silencer for the first time and then see if something changes. But now the question arises, how expensive should I buy the spare exhaust, 50€ in the bay or it is worth taking the from Volvo for 330. My old Swede is not the youngest anymore, but I care for it and think it is actually pretty good in the shot (came also last without complaining through TÜV). Also: There is something with the change). Thank you as always for your help!

Accessories for a V70I
Evening Ask a question, I have seen that there were quite useful accessories for the old elk, e.g. the drinks and small equipment storage for the back seat, window grille/sun protection extendable for the back bench, etc. Since I am always the one with my elk, which is the first to rent as a driver for long distances I found these extras already great, you want to kind of brag with the old elk, and if only with the convenience for occupants ^^ There are still some shops that use such accessories What do you have for your moose, everything that makes life easier for you or for the guests? And where is it available? Best regards?

Metallic flapping on the rear axle – and that eats…
When crossing thresholds in the underground garage of my employer, I noticed a metallic flap at the HA. I had detached pads of the handbrake last year – so that couldn’t be it now. Therefore to the friendly workshop. Test drive – there was of course nothing to hear. So on the pit. Wrapped, looked for, everything turned out. And then it was already noticeable: the bearings of the crossbar bushings were partly already disassembled. And after further searching it was found that with the right shaking there was then a metallic flap on the axle. So, that can be a reason for metallic scraping at the HA. Unfortunately I did not take a photo. Now I save on the change of the sockets:-) Cabfreak

Volvo 850 Diesel does not start when it is warm
Hello people (politically correct?) The Volvo 850 Diesel BJ 96 hasn’t started for some time when it’s warmed up. In the morning it starts cold; not great and liquid but it starts. After a short ride when it’s warm nothing at all. Sometimes with start pilot but usually the battery can leak and doesn’t work. Roll down on the mountain of the tow > It comes immediately. Previously made: Compression > OK Diesel fiilter > changed glow candles > ge changed battery > New Today we had it at Volvo conclusion : The timing belt and the tensioner was changed allegedly the steering times were wrong. Injection pump was checked and set. We fetch the car pay off 1200 euros (still have the brakes made fixed because more beautiful if braked). Problem persists. Supposedly the starter is too heavy….I never heard of it. Either it runs or hangs (magnet switch) I am with my late in at the end ………… I’m just a cook ….. with various screw talents. Can someone help. That would be nice. I ah then also n schnitzel.

Power loss Turbocharger with error code
Hello, I have a problem with my V 70 2.5 TDI Bj.99 And the engine diagnostic light went into operation with simultaneous power loss, i.e.. I feel the turbocharger doesn’t run with..? Error reading there were 4 pieces solenoid valve exhaust gas return light main relay solenoid valve charging pressure control relay for additional heating group 1 and 2 Can anyone give me information where to start? Hang the errors possibly. together? You did not go to extinguish with connected diagnostic tester Can it be that the turbocharger gets too little air, because the intake manifold or hoses are close to the unburned soot? Because AGR valve is on the list..? Must say that I had to drive the car free three months ago on the highway, in front of an AU, until no black smoke could be seen. Can the cat also be the real cause? Look forward to help e by you. Akkil

Power eaters wanted
Hello, my good 850er T5 loses energy. If the moose stands for 1 week, it stops with an empty battery. I have now measured 0.8 A at rest. I pulled one fuse after the other, each without any change. I’m rather perplexed. As an interim solution, he plays plug-in hybrid to keep him running. Does anyone have an idea? Gruss Roland

My new acquisition: A 97er 850 AWD
The other day I bought another 850, an AWD. Since I’m screaming for “photos” I’ve already snapped some. On Monday I approved it and today I’ve made the first somewhat more extensive ride. The drive doesn’t make any noticeable noises and does not vibrate (otherwise I wouldn’t have bought it). Some small things are to be done or are already done, like door catch band replace driver’s side, electric FH back right doesn’t function, plastic edge around d en NSW is missing — it’s all pillepalle. When buying the turbo? Oil, did everything clean last week, but until now everything is dry. TÜV has still 3 months, I’m curious what the test coat will find Edith: The illuminated things under the radio are voltmeters and water temperature indicator
