  • Retrofitting electrical exterior mirrors

    Good evening to each other! My elk, which has been equipped with a very spartan style, has installed a mechanically adjustable exterior mirror on the driver’s side (with this pipe on the inner lining), which, however, has been hanging for some time now on half-eight, i.e. crooked. In a few weeks I will actually retrofit an air conditioning system (and then I would like to report about it in detail here), so anyway the whole dashboard must vo My question: Is it possible under these conditions (i.e. exactly how is it possible) to replace the mechanical exterior mirror directly with an electric one? Are the cables volvotypical for this? Bzw. what is the situation with the adjusting button in the centre console? Do you need any new relays or the like?   • Dashboard covers and airbag V70

    Hello guys, now that I have found a dashboard top in better condition, of course used, for my elk, two questions arise for the conversion: 1. Should I screw the airbag from the old lid into the new top for safety considerations, or can I just connect the airbag with the new lid like this? After all, I read on the airbag “not…into other vehicles” – probably this means cars from other manufacturers, so without SRS? 2.   • Another question Driving comfort V70 I, Diesel

    Moin, again a question to you, especially the diesel drivers. This WoEnde drove for the first time a longer distance: HH – B – HH incl city 760 km. The car is up to exactly 130 km/h according to Tacho and approx. 2,800 rpm really quiet. But above it (exactly from 3,000 rpm) it gets quite abruptly loud. At 160 it seems to be quieter again, or the engine noise is overlaid by the other operating noises. Is this also so, or could it in my case also be a Fr age the old engine bearing e.g. that 140-150 km/h simply does not make joy? Wheel bearing, Diff, etc are rather not…. Thanks to you Klas

    Good day 850 fans Maybe someone can help me : On 6.9. 2024 a 850GLE combo with rest-tüv was offered until October in Neuss. Ready to drive, with some defects. The desolate condition of the clutch was kept secret during the purchase, so that I was already confronted with a coupler slipping several times on the way to Cologne. This defect must have been known to the seller in any case, which however denies it. And therefore a return of the sale refuses. Gib Is there someone among you Volvo fans who has also looked at this 850er station wagon? And: Of course I should have checked the clutch more closely, that’s on my cap.   • Volvo 850 jerks/tuckers, takes on bad gas

    Hello! I hope to get help here to the following problem. Since a short time my Volvo tuckers during driving as well as in the stand. It starts without problems, also the idle speed is ok. But the tuckering is there and also makes itself noticeable in large vibrations, which you can feel in the interior, similar to a tractor. If you press on the gas now, it feels as if it does not get to the train properly, i.e. it chuckles at higher speeds and when driving you notice a low speed. Ingere Acceleration/less power. When starting, you need more gas, otherwise it would run out. This happens permanently at all speeds, whether engine warm or cold. So far, I only knew this sporadically, then he hesitated and jerked a bit while accelerating, but after a few seconds that was over and he “tortured” himself, i.e. acceleration and gas acceptance was back to normal. I imagine that this happened especially often in wet weather, but that can be su I just cleaned the throttle flap, same sample. What can I check?   • First MKL and now flashing gear arrow

    Hello together, I’ve been reading for nights, but not found suitable for my problems. My moose makes the following bitches: At first there was only restless idle and sometimes after the start increased speed. Then the MKL came to it. The car went out sporadically from time to time, it feels more comfortable over 2000 revolutions. Today the transmission arrow has come to it and flashes. Engine only takes on bad gas and stutters. I have no chance to read it, since the workshops here only true OBDs can read Mine is BJ 95, MY 96. I am grateful for any suggestion.   • all electr. window lifter defective????

    Hello, since yesterday my window lifters and the mirror adjustment no longer work…:-( …as I drive a V70I with the 2.4l suction cup (built in 1999). I suspect that it is a fuse or a relay, but I don’t find a corresponding designation in the fuse box. I should mention briefly that on Thursday a permanent plus cable was installed for the AHK (from a workshop) and that probably did not disconnect the battery (radio did not adjust). .hence the thought with fuse. So now to the question, these things are connected and where are the fuses/relais????? Thank you and greetings!!!!

  • V70: Open trunk with empty battery?

    Hello and greetings, the following problem: The battery from my grandpa’s Volvo is empty, now stood around a little longer in winter, because it was more and longer in the hospital. The new one is already bought and I want to change it now. The battery is in the trunk. Since the battery is completely empty, my key no longer works – at least not the electronics that unlocks everything. So also no residual energy, the lamps in the dashboard no longer shine. Completely dead. I now assume that it is the battery, since I was driving in front of the MOnates and it has been in the garage since then. So I can only open the driver’s door manually. My trunk has no keyhole. Can’t be opened! In the normal instructions I have found nothing to help. Am I completely blind and missing something fundamental or has someone been sleeping in the construction? If you need the exact Verion number of the V70, please tell me, who The Volvo is already around 20 years old, but it was a lot in the garage and has only 40.000km, passed the last Tüv with flying colors and my grandpa doesn’t have any strength or nerves for another purchase – so if a solution could be found here – that would be great.   • Well, tweeters are defective, both of them.

    I drive a C70 (N) convertible, Built 08/2000 I have the 901 radio. Who knows what kind of speakers are installed in the rear. Otherwise: tweeters in the dashboard, middle and low in the doors. The sound is so lala. The tweeters are both defective. Rare, right? What could be the mistake. Would like to spare me so long to dismantle everything.

    Here is a list of possibly helpful spare parts, without which nothing can be done at all (without the need for a trailer for transport): – long ignition cable – relay 103 (resoldered) – petrol pump completely with use (complete part allows quick exchange and fits immediately) – 3-claw oil filter key (to release the petrol pump) – ignition coil – crankshaft sensor (=Zündzeitpunktger) Please complete the list with spare parts, which are absolutely necessary for a further drive (Parliament adopted the legislative resolution)
