  • 96er 850, one side hot air from the air conditioner

    With my 850 TDI, year 96, sporadically only hot air comes from all ventilation nozzles on the driver’s side. The air feels the max. heat. Rules can then on the driver’s side nothing more. On the passenger side everything is normal. Even when the climate is on, cold air arrives on the driver’s side, while then max. hot air flows towards me. After the restart of the car the phenomenon was gone again. The error occurred now 2 times. Nervt but extreme, since especially at the warm temperatures on a further drive is not to be thought of, it becomes so hot. I have to say that the climate since a few weeks after switching on makes a rhythmic noise, which after a minute then is gone. Sounds like the echo sound on a submarine, only the noise is longer What can bring the regulation on the driver’s side so through each other so much. Errors are not stored, I had already turned off.     Hey, wants to buy new rims for my 850. I don’t know what to drive now. On the internet I found what there is a maximum of 17 inches with a tyre width of 215. But I just found on ebay rims, where there is a partial review. There it is written, for example, that I can drive the rims on the 850 with a tyre width of up to 235. Can someone help me understand what I have to pay attention to and what applies?

  • Rappeln at 1500 u/min

    Hi together I have recently been in possession of a V70i from 1997 with the 144hp petrol. Since the purchase I have been racing in the range of 1,300 to 1,600 revolutions a rappeln from the area motor towards the spray wall but from hearing rather further down. Thought first it would be the crusher sheet, but I have fixed that now and it still rappels. Does anyone know the problem?

    Hello all, I bought a V70, EZ 01/2000, 170hp petrol. There was only one key without a remote control. I would like to have at least a 2nd key, remote control would not have to be mandatory. What would be the cheapest alternative for this? In the case the prices should be quite sporty… Thanks! VG Sebastian

  • LL speed slows down far B5252T ME4.4, sometimes goes out

    Hello, my only recently purchased V70 XC B5252T LPT Motronic ME 4.4 (one of the first EZ 1997) had the following problem: If you go off the gas, the idle speed drops short very far, about 500 u/min. Only then the idle stability seems to grab and regulate. If you start at the wrong moment, the engine is off. Checked/renewed I have read out the following: error memory (no engine error found), throttle valve poti (bosch) new, idle stability valve removed and checked for smoothness (is clean and smooth), throttle flap from the front also looks clean. But somehow my gut feeling is that after that the problem with the crashing of the LL-turning number does not change. Worse, it could not change well. Next, I wanted to (so or so) to renew the oil trap, so have to check the intake bridge.

  • Which climate control unit fits

    Hello together, I have a problem with the climate on my elk (V70, petrol, 144hp, Bj’97, 5-door, B5252FS/S M56). No matter what setting I choose, the front windshield is slamming every time. No matter if winder or summer. My screwdriver has already read out errors and as protocol we got that interior sensor, actuators, flaps,… are defective?!?? Just my guess was that the control panel is probably broken and wanted to get me another one. Can someone tell me which control panel fits with which number to my climate automation. At Scandisk I didn’t get any further… Does anyone have an idea or information?

  • Pretty rough make up the engine?

    Hello have a question my volvo v70 Bj 99 b5252s goes out rather rough when making out as if the motor would turn a bit … and you hear a short ratchet clacking as if you were moving the drive shaft back and forth such a noise in about …..gear side.   • Gas silencer installation tailgate

    Hello, after I got a good tip from “Ulle” about cheap rear flap dampers, the things are now there – but don’t fit in. There are a few millimeters to press in. The dampers are from Skanimport Flenner – top price and super fast delivery. Unfortunately just a little too long … The tip was from “Ulle”, unfortunately I can’t find the old thread anymore (has also been long ago). Since the dampers have a pressure of 1500 NM, one of you elk drivers (not mean bad) knows how to get the things in???? I don’t want to expand the tail flap somehow.   • Volvo 850 dies at a standstill

    “Dear Volvo connoisseurs, I hope someone can help me. My beloved Swede, a 850 automatic Bj 96, is having problems. I have him in the family since my wedding and he and the woman are still there. :thumbsup: Now he’s been having real trouble for a few days. When driving, he doesn’t have a problem, but sometimes when I have to stop at a traffic light and stay in D, for example, what’s normal, or when driving very slow (<30kmh)? he starts to jerk and jump, the speed goes down and sometimes he even dies off. If I switch off quickly in N, the whole thing becomes normal and I can then return to normal in D. But if I switch off from N to D at a standstill, he immediately starts jumping again and tries to die off. It feels as if the gear is not completely separated from the engine at a standstill.
