  • Interior trim tailgate V70

    Hello, have the following problem: The lock of the tailgate no longer works… Close the door, monkey dead ? To get to the lock the tailgate should be opened…just like without a ZV (I think the actuator is broken) and without the possibility to open with a key.   • Does anyone know what tape this is for “tweaking”?

    Colleagues, in Vadis it is recommended by Volvo to “tweak” parts of the dashboard with a tape (Article No. 3537385). The tape is glued between the different plastic parts (see also photo) My question: Does one know this tape, what is the alternative (doesn’t come to the Volvo dealer at the moment)? And of course even more important: is it worth the effort? That can be done in some places of the center console, especially in the area of the armrest it always crackles.

  • Need urgent help V70I TDI no longer in the car

    Hello, it’s really good for you to have a good time. I’ve already got a lot of tips here. But now I’ve got a big problem? I’ve got a V70 TDI Bj.1999. The driving pleasure was quite great during the test drive. Made a good impression.The V70 has an EZV which also worked……so I thought. My V70 has only one lock on the driver’s side. All other doors have no locks.Unfortunately! So now it comes……….. Since I have a season KZ 11/04 and V70 only wanted to drive in the winter I didn’t want to jam the mass cable of the battery (and that was the big mistake) closed the doors and the engine hood and made a short close test. I thought the driver’s door can open at any time. But unfortunately wrong thought! The driver’s door can’t open the only lock on the V70!

  • Difference brake 280/302

    Hello dear community, I don’t know if the question has already been asked this way… I drive a Volvo V70I with the “girl engine”, currently Perfo’s are installed, which in theory can also take off the 302 brake system. I assume theoretically that only the 280 were installed from the factory with the small engine… Can I actually only find out on the basis of the brake disc which is 280 or 302 or are there other components that point to the different systems, if yes, how do they look visually?   • strange smell

    Hello I recently bought a C70 convertible with the 193hp engine. Now I found out after a ride that it smells strange. (Only outside, from inside you can smell nothing) it smells like a mixture of burnt rubber and clutch. I can’t really define it. After a few minutes of standstill, the smell then vanished again… Now I’m thinking about what that might be. I’ve tried to find out the origin of the smell. The only thing I noticed is the container of the servo oil. That’s all around the lid and the tank seam completely watered. And yes, the oil smells a little bit like that strange smell. Can that be the reason? You smell this biting smell after a ride around the car, my wife asked me from 2-3m distance, what smells there… Ohso the smell only comes after a few km… The longer the distance, the more intense the smell. I’ve made two photos of the servo oil container. Maybe you have an idea, I’m happy about every hint from experienced Volvo drivers Daniel/B.

  • Volvo V70 1998 unround motor run

I only thought that comes from the cold but with me it has never been under 5 degrees. I had also pulled the air mass meter out of the rubber device in the week of service and brought out the air filter box to see if this “warm air, cold air” flap is broken and have found that a loose hose that is already 2 years in the engine room hangs the hose to control the flap (I don’t know if that helps further). As soon as the car starts warm and runs it is quite normal. Maybe one of these problems and can help me further? The engine is, by the way, a b5252fs.

  • Clutch pedal remains down

    Moin, today at a longer exit the clutch pedal just stayed down. It can be pulled up manually again and then stays there, but the function is almost at zero. I then had a rather interesting drive home in the 2nd gear, with every stop engine out and gear out, stop, gear back in and start with the starter and roll up. The whole with warning turn signal and about 40 things among others also on the east Westphalian road. I took a picture under the A-board, this white rod with the yellow edge moves in front and back, there seems to be mechanically everything in order. The cuff is a little oil-moist.   • V70 XC 2.5T no longer wants….

    Hello, have the following problem with my wife’s vehicle, a V 70 XC 2.5T 193 Ps Mj. 98 Ez. 10.98. Vehicle ran very well until the last, no drop-outs, nothing. Now stood for 3 days, with the muzzle slightly upwards. Today I wanted to start it, but it doesn’t start at all. No matter if I give gas or still so long örgel. No engine control lamp on, no lambda on. I had it read out, no faults deposited, nothing. Spark of ignition comes clearly and powerfully to the candle, fuel pump runs audible (summates). Relais 103 fuel pump relays I have disassembled, looks like new, nothing to recognize under the magnifying glass, by unclean or broken soldering points. Currently I don’t get any fuel in the combustion room!? Someone’s idea how to proceed further? Where exactly is the engine controller sitting? Not that it got wet with the snow or so!? Was it Ford,Renault,Opel no idea With the diesel engines it was VW the LT engine I drove myself in my 240er but who sponsored the petrolers?
