Hello, I just came from a longer highway ride in the rain, and my C70 has unfortunately become slightly leaky. In right-hand curves and when the ventilation is turned on, water drips from a rectangular section at the bottom of the dashboard on the left foot of the passenger. It’s not cooling water, but rain water: cold, clear, and odourless. It’s also not a large amount, but a rind. Before the descent, the car stood outside for about 2 weeks, and I didn’t notice any moisture in the interior. In addition, the ventilation in curves sometimes makes light running noises, but it has been doing that for longer – whether this has something to do with it? With two shabby photos: the wet foot mat and the point on which it drips as well as the bottom of the dashboard with the relevant opening. Is this a known problem? Where are the processes, e.g. from the sliding roof?

ABS error 314
With my 96 TDI I get the ABS error 314 sporadically (ink right wheel sensor signal). The ABS control unit was soldered 3 years ago, so I would almost exclude it as a source of error. 1) With cold soldering point at the control unit came as far as I remember a whole latte of errors. Or can a single error also indicate a defective control unit? 2) What can one check on the sensor at all? Can it also be dirt? As I read, the exchange of this sensor is not quite as easy. The tank must probably be drained.

Brake no longer dissolves…
Hi friends of the cared for ABS, I have a Volvo V70, built in 1998 AWD automatic 2.4 with now 262000km. Well, it’s time to get rid of the brake bar? Well, the brake bar can’t get rid of the brake bar? Currently it’s TÜV and everything is already prepared and repaired. Now I drive to the TÜV yesterday and notice that someone is braking without my help. I had the too fixed hand brake in suspicion. Again, the thermometer has shown 180° on the brake disc. Wheel removed after cooling: the most hot part was the brake block. had still 62°, where the disc now had 56°. The brake disc did not turn! Did then the brake brake has pulled apart something, so that the disc was again blocked. Now the following: Have started the car, parking mode, hand brake attracted, since the disc was still turning (until the first stop has turned).

Subwoofer in C70
Hello municipality, I have a C70 convertible and want to retrofit the subwoofers in the backrest of the rear bench. They are equipped with Dolby surround series. Apart from the heavy price of the Dynaudio chassis, I would like to know if the subs can be easily connected to the final stage of the series. Supposedly it is an optically simple Alpine V12 where the outputs are intended for the subwoofers. Does anyone have experience with it? Or another idea? Thank you Borsti

Volvo 850 Kombi Built 94 Kaufberatung
Hi guys, I’m coming here from the Opel corner to give you some information from the ribs. So, today I was offered the following vehicle: Volvo 850, Built 94, 144 HP, approx. 250 tkm, manual transmission, white with partial leather equipment. Since I could get the car at an unbeatable price, I play with the idea of looking at it at least once, especially there is an AHK on it. What I already know: There should have been problems with the timing belts (but from 93 onwards this should be fixed?), lighting machine, cracks in the windshields, leaks and cool water hoses. What else is there to be noticed? What else do you have to pay special attention to? Or would you mind looking at a purchase? I say straight away that I would only use the Volvo as a second and towing vehicle, so no daily. I thank you for your help!

Built-in child seat: ECE approval?
Since my elk II has the child seat integrated in the rear seat middle armrest in contrast to the predecessor, I would be interested in which ECE approval the thing has. Probably none or not the required 44/03, but maybe one of you knows more precisely.

“Blow through”?
Dear friends, I am very satisfied with my moose, V 70 2,4 automatic, 9/1999,140 hp, 3 times knocking on wood!!!:-) In view of the mileage of 260,000 km, I always ask myself whether I can expect the vehicle to give it the spores on the motorway. So far I have driven max. 150 km/h, but the engine seems to me as if he wants to say: “Now press on it!”I am very satisfied with the driving performance – and this as a former turbodiesel-dwelled Audi TDI driver! What do you think?

C70 T5 a few questions about the car
Hello you. I have a very big problem. I fell in love… and was in love with a C70 T5… i.e. I will buy (if no one will change my mind here) one (must!)…. In order to tackle the whole thing a little more seriously, I have to buy a C70 T5 from the first series (1998-200?). I have already informed myself a little bit and I drove a sample today. So to my questions: 1. Is the engine durable? (so would also a checkbook of C70 with 245k on the clock come into question?) 2. What do I have to pay attention to with the car (known weaknesses, diseases, etc….) 3. I have seen with the search models with a final pot (right) and which with 2 end pots (left and right). What is it about? Is this just a cosmetic change in the course of the model evolution? 4. Can you have the chip optimized? If yes meaningful? ( -> I am talking about efficiency) 5. How expensive is the car in terms of wear? How can I answer the spare part?

Electrical problems with my 850 TDI
My 850 TDI (500,000 km run) has been having the following problems for a couple of days: -It glows, even if the engine is warm – the engine temperature indicator immediately goes to “middle– normal operating temperature, even if the engine is cold. – the first 500m runs faster, like when the engine is absolutely cold (it also makes it again after a stop of 5 minutes) – the fan of the cooler runs constantly. The car usually runs quite normal, (100 km / day) coolant level is OK, it seems to be something with the electrical system. Who has had the problem before?

850 radiator fans are constantly running
Servus with each other, I have a strange phenomenon since yesterday morning. As soon as I turn the ignition, the cooler fan starts, runs at the highest level continuously, even during the ride. After turning off it runs on 3-4 minutes. This morning the car jumped badly on . After ignition speed at idle at 1500, i.e. slightly higher than usual, but adjusts within 2-3 seconds again to 1000 revolutions. No oil or cooling water loss. Climate has been empty for 2 years and is also out. Last winter we had the problem short term and the interior heating did not get really warm, which somehow “repaired” itself after a week. Can I go out of thermostat, temperature sensor or have to get panic at proud 310,000 km? Thanks for feedback
