  • Gas + brake at the same time

Hello, I noticed a problem with my T5 the other day, which seems strange to me… If I step gas and brake at the same time (i.e. left brake), it just takes away the gas completely instead of accelerating it further… Actually I can live with it quite well, but otherwise it always worked out and therefore it has to be something different or broken. Could it possibly be related to the throttle valve, since it also wants to be cleaned sometimes (-> ominous ETS lamp). It must be a software error or a broken sensor, because the 99er has an el. gas pedal. Thanks already for the help.

  • Different thought 🙂 V70 T5 craft object

Hello dear lovers, have seen a V70 T5 Bj 98 the day before yesterday. Today I looked a little more closely and would like to do the part to me. Is nevertheless a little more space than in the C70 . Now to the facts: the part is quite rocked down and accordingly there is a lot to do. The car stood about 2 years and blows something out of the exhaust. Brakes around must be renewed, shock absorbers are due, axle bearing rear, timing belt should be made, low oil outlet from the valve cover seal, switch for window lifter behind quite defective (the in the driver’s door), leather seats are completely finished (should be long-term eh fabric seats pure). Various scratches and small bumps, hood lock left hangs. ABS lamp burns (probably sensor according to the owner’s statement; KFZ master) Equipment: Navi from Volvo (without CD) Climate automatic, stand heater, window lifter round, glass sliding roof, and the other standard equipment like Popotoaster… switching gear 230,000 km 2 engine jumps easily and can’t be the next stage?

  • Belt straps at the rear too? Volvo 850

moin, I stumbled over an info that many cars don’t have a belt strap at the back and so the passengers drive insecure at the back than the front. So I’m not talking about these things that stop the belt when you jerk at it, but these parts that suddenly shorten / tighten the belt in the event of a crash. Now I’m wondering, since when does it exist and does the Volvo have it in the back, if it has any at all.

  • V70 – Sliding roof no longer goes backwards

Until the night before yesterday evening my glass-slide canopy still worked perfectly. No problems. Yesterday morning I wanted to drive it back – so completely open …. just tilts down in the back, but doesn’t drive back. I can also close it again, i.e. it goes up in the back and is closed again correctly. Also I can lift it up in the back and close it again. ….. just doesn’t want to drive back. Someone’s idea of what the spirit has given up?

  • Problem with Venturi plant in my 850

What’s more, in my Volvo 850 MJ95 2.5 20V (bank injection) a Venturi system from Fragatec might have been installed exactly 2 years ago. In the meantime, I did not have 60,000km of gas without problems. 1 year ago, I had the problem when I had disconnected from the thrust operation when the speed over 2000 rpm was the engine run out. I didn’t run idle and when I was switching up (accelerated) neither. At that time, it was the gas filter that was fully connected. A few weeks ago, the whole thing happened to me again. Well, I thought that you already knew that, so new gas filter pure (Tomasseto filter). Dumm only that it’s not because the engine always goes out after disconnecting from the thrust operation when the speed is over 2000rpm. My “solution” at the moment is always slowing down until I come to almost 1000rpm and then I have to break out of it. Then it remains brav. I changed spark plugs yesterday NGK Iridium was in, so now the original Volvo candelion has not used to accelerate the load.

  • Repairing fittings and air conditioning lighting

Yes moin, with my newly acquired 850er T5 you can fix a few little things – at least you have small things for an experienced screwdriver, but not for someone like me, who holds electricity for something completely metaphysical and at the same time at a home renovation the ingenious idea has come to, two ISDN telephone cables, which came out of the wall, in lack of a stripping plier ALWAYS to isolate with the teeth… Anyway, broken is the following: 1. lamp in the air conditioning control unit, on the far right (I would try to take out the radio and then somehow switch from behind somewhere a lamp… but my plans almost always lead to me having a butcher instead of a working car with a defective lamp, which still steers…) 2. lamp behind the tank display in the dashboard, on the far left (for that the dashboard has to get out there? Or should there be a secret entrance through the engine hood behind the tacho, through which you can plug the lamps? Have two children, which I can only go out of light can send light down there there there?

  • Hail damage > Total economic damage

Hello municipality, today was the day of the decision for my Swedes. In August we had here in the Zwickau area an evil hailstorm with egg-sized grains. Today we went to the expert, who has estimated the damage now at 1,800,-€ replacement value lies at 1,200,-€ and the residual value at 400,-€, I can howl What do you do now? Continue driving and still caring? He is a top technical in order. Do I put it off and pick it up for myself? If someone is semming on it now, I go out empty! Unfortunately, what you have put in the car no one sees… 700,-€ he cost me and 2.500,-€ plugged in, is really bad! Has something like that ever gone through? Greetings Ronny

  • V70 BJ 98 Service Lamp delete by smartphone ?

Hello dear forum, at the online mail order store or at the auction house there are for some time OBD 2 adapters that work via Bluetooth. Simply install smartphone app and then connect the adapter with the OBD socket. My questions: Who has tried something like this, with which software. From which dealer you bought this. Can you also put the service control light back with it? Thanks for the answers. Volvo, you say he has magical powers….
