Hi For some time now (C701, 2002, 90tkm), my convertible has a lot of knocking noise after the cold start. First I thought it was a loose exhaust, now I have located it. Engine compartment at the front right (in the timing belt?). Thank you in advance for any tips. Mango

Deactivate immobilizer (VDO with black pen)
Moin together. I wanted to disable the WFS on my 850 and had found a good guide in another forum in which it was explained which contacts have to be bridged in the controller of the WFS directly on the board in order not to have to search the cables. Unfortunately this forum has been offline for days and I have not saved the guide. Therefore my question: Does anyone know which contacts have to be bridged in order to disable the WFS? I would like to deactivate them before she gives up the geis. Also, the thing with the pen is annoying and we don’t want to steal the car anyway. Thanks for your tips, Eric

Volvo C70 4 Steps Automatic
Moin moin, I’m thinking of buying a Volvo C70 Coupé and have a few questions about it. With the hand-operated I know myself halfway out but especially with the C70 there are many automatics – driven on the market. Can one say now that the 4 steps automatic “good” or “bad” is? There are from model year 2000 or 2001 the 5 steps automatic, which definitely also has a converter clutch but has the 4 steps automatic also one? How long does the Autom Atik ca.? Should you rather use the hand-operated one? Is the 2.0T in combination with the automatic transmission to the 1.6 tons too little for cruising but also sometimes faster? Thanks a lot

Cracking and squeaking in the front wheel box when steering
Moin people, I was with my moose in the workshop recently because it cracked while steering in the stand. Several joints were greased and the stop buffers were exchanged. The cracking while steering was in the meantime less, but is never gone and now there again. Besides, I noticed a noise, which I can not classify. Videos are in the appendix. The noise comes from the front right wheel box and comes only when I roll at approx. 20-30 km/h into the curve, without gas too When I steer to the right, the sound doesn’t come. The steering in the stand and at very low speed causes a crack. The flickering noise in the video comes from the front right of the wheel box or directly from the direction of the right front wheel when steering in strongly left without gas. What could it be about? Do you have any ideas? If you still need information or pictures, I’ll be happy to do that.

Old moose has no desire, doesn’t start anymore
Good evening I once asked myself a question to the professionals. I bought myself a S70 year 1997 last weekend.Bin driven highly pleased home, and beautifully parked under the carport. Then I wanted to start him 2 days later then went nothing more. He orgelt only jumps but not at. Motor 2.0 liter 126 hp. so I first checked the basics fuel ignition spark, air, petrol, timing belts = everything in order, did not find any martens harm. Nevertheless, he does not jump at just b I have read out the box (diagnosis device from a buddy) Conclusion everything Oke. Only one thing no communication with the engine control unit possible. Ignition spark on the ignition plugs but still there and he injects one at the start. Could it possibly be on the diagnostic device (laptop with adapter and program) that is no communication is possible or has a good idea what the good one could have. Have also already all safe He’s only 104,000km down Thank you very much for your efforts.

Engine conversion 850 T5 in V70I
Some of you have probably already noticed it, others may not yet. I bought a 850 T5 together with another fortist. We will slaughter this because it should serve as a part dispenser. I want to replace my 2.5l suction cup with the said T5 engine. This will not be a weekend project and should not end in the disaster. My questions about the topic: Can I use the 850 control unit in the V70 (I don’t think) and if not, what is my old one? rnative. Since the T5 is an automatic, I would like to take my manual transmission. Did the T5 have reinforced drive shafts? I will take over the brake system from the T5. Oil and cooling water tanks are next to each other at the top of my car. Can I take over this or do I have a mistake in thinking? I ask it not to be bad to talk or anything else. I know that there will be a lot of coal and time flowing in but who doesn’t dare not win.

Engine damage?
Hello dear community I have a new problem with my dear moose. Spark plugs I have already changed. To my problem, if I give gas in the 2nd or 3rd gear, so more than 2000 tours he starts to stutter, makes, I would say brum brum, noises and pull he does not want to, then jerks more. If I give gas in the stand he does not have the problem, so rather under load! Oh yes and in idle, the rotation number, varies between 750-900 revolutions, whether warm or cold, petrol it also consumes more! Oil consumption is normal but CO2 in the cooling water I could also exclude, by a test, the liquid remains blue. Thanks for your help!

SRS lamp Volvo C70
Hello, I bought a Volvo C70 convertible built in 2002 a good two weeks ago, which stood for some time. My plan was to make the convertible so far fit for the TÜV, which has worked well so far, the last lack which prevents me from driving over TÜV, but the SRS lamp is causing some problems. My workshop told me that it could not read out the ECU (I am unfortunately not familiar with which device it was tried) , then I got a cheap reading buys (the iCarsoft i906), which also worked very well with my 1997 V70 before. But this too could not read out the airbaig error. Could it possibly be related to my car and not at all to the readers? And how would you proceed now? I am grateful for any help.

BBS Triton rims second hole
Greetings. I would have a special question and to those with Tritron rims. I picked up my Triton rims from the rim doc recently and I only got to go to the tyre dealer today for the assembly. Already with the first rim (accidentally exactly the one) there was a problem when pumping the tires. It was not because the air blew out at the ring and apparently is not dense? When looking more closely then we noticed that the Triton rim has a second hole below (s There the air escapes and blows out just above the ring?! With another rim this hole seems to be somehow closed (Like a coin??) The tyre dealer also said he sees something like this for the first time but he thought that too much air escapes through the hole and can not be held by the ring because of the high pressure? I must probably the days again to the rim doc but would like to know what it has to do with this hole. I forgot to take a photo of the closed hole at the other rim. I also find the recess around the hole strange and what it should serve.

Ammonia – Odour
Moin together ! Actually the moose is big enough, but yesterday I had a bed in the back with slat frame and mattress – the flap had to stay a little open, I made it half with a strap. On the way home I wondered about a disgusting ammonia smell, which always came in swabs to the front. With window and sliding roof it got worse. Roch about as if a slurry bomber is driving in front of you – but that was far and wide no he and here is no longer fertilized (there they are through here). Then I thought, maybe someone has tipped something on the mattress or cleaned the frame with something that smells like that. At home when unloading there is always a nose to it …. to smell nothing, not even at first. Also run in the stand and put behind it and sniffed … also not to hear anything strange. I drive the moose (the #1) now almost 12 years ago — I still haven’t seen anything like this. he smelled. Do not drive with a flap open and in the moose you can smell absolutely nothing. So certainly no gas leak (LPG plant !), no unusually high consumption – in the Gengenteil: here on the country with longer distances 8-10 L LPG at 80-100 KmH. Have read around in the WWW, there are some topics to it. But no really meaningful answer found on it. KAT in Dutt or on the way there ? 2 months ago there were still (repeatless !) HU and AU with excellent values. I’ve never parked in the pile or anything like that.
