  • Motor gets too warm

    Hello together….. I had written about it before, but unfortunately we could not fix the defect yet…. My engine sometimes gets too hot in the “stop at go / traffic jam”…. Not always, but sometimes….. I visited the Black Forest myself yesterday and on the return trip there was again the problem… We could not find a Macke yesterday (so during the day) ….Doesn’t lose any cooling fluid, the fan starts from the cooler, the cooler works so far correctly….Errors were also not stored… Could it be that the fan or the associated relay has a Macke and now and then don’t start?! Do you have any ideas?! VG Bird

    Hello people (weeds don’t go away) Before someone asks me why a confessing old elk driver is busy with something modern and potentially ugly like day driving lights: In Switzerland it is unfortunately mandatory to drive with dipped light during the day from 2014 – or just to mount day driving lights. Since I don’t want to buy new nightbreakers every few months (usually a real frequent driver), I am looking for day running lights, which can be mounted visually semi-adjustable to an edge. As a place of assembly, the recesses next to the fog lamps offer itself. Since the space conditions just on the right side where the tow hook is located are more than modest, I have not found a solution for the “normal” V70 rods yet, which will satisfy my aesthetic requirements. For #1 with the R-Stosbar I have decided to go back and forth again for those here. The grids of the R-Stosssbar are just a bit further ahead (togooks do not bother with the fixtures) and because they can’t be attached to it.

    Hello dear forum members, I urgently need your help with an electrical problem. Vehicle: V70 Built. 1997 Gasoline Since yesterday my tank indicator and my rev indicator suddenly stop working. The service interval light flashes continuously. The onboard computer only displays time and outside temperature – switching to other information is not possible. The speedometer and the engine temperature indicator work. The engine runs flawlessly. Does any of you know these symptoms? Would be nice of you if you could help. BonoK

However, my Swedes tank has a little problem for a few weeks, to which I have not found a solution in the forum so far. Vehicle data: Volvo 850 TDI First registration: 11/1996 Kilometer level: approx. 265,000 (about 38,000 of me) Automatic gearbox Sometimes when I switch off the car after a ride (short or long does not matter) and want to start again a few minutes later it doesn’t start. Fans, air conditioning, radio work when I turn the ignition key, only the engine doesn’t make a sound. Only when I open the hood and wait for good 10minutes it jumps on as if nothing had ever been done. Does any part of it take no heat, or is the starter vllt. over? I changed the contact plate from the ignition lock months ago after the great instructions from burfil. Thanks already for your answers!

    Hello guys, I’ve been having problems starting my 20V for some time now. The usual suspects are renewed (candles, cables, distributor cap, fingers…) the petrol pump relay is soldered. If the engine is cold, it only starts after longer start and with a lot of gas, then it doesn’t start at increased speed and needs a little to run clean. Errors are not stored.
