That’s a good morning for me. First of all, I’m sorry about my moose: Volvo V70 I, 2,4l 121kW or 165 hp, Bj 1999, Motor B5254S I have a problem. Sure, otherwise I wouldn’t write…. It’s about the brake from my moose. The problem only occurs once in a while. And even if my mechanic (no Volvo workshop) is NOT sitting in the car and I could demonstrate to him how it feels. So (for the cases in which it happens): When I drive a track (so 3-5 km) and over 50km/h and I step on the brake (seek, not fully step through to slow down the car), the brake pedal can be passed for about 1cm. Then I have to get off the brake. If I don’t feel like I’ve hit on a thorn, it’s not like the brake force or effect again.

Let’s ask a general question about driving with cruise control
A question from someone who has only had a cruise control since February: Where do you have your right foot? Last night I drove about 40 km of country road, which mainly goes straight ahead and had to constantly hover the foot over the brake because I thought, my reaction time is certainly better if an animal jumps out of the forest. How does that handle the practiced cruise control driver? Put your feet on the ground? And are there also some who drive in the tailor’s seat?? Joke aside… Would I be interested anyway! Greetings Eric

Beautiful rims for my V70
Hello Forum municipality, I have the following question to the specialists of you. I found Aluflgen near me for my moose, but they are of a new model. Now I wanted to know what kind of rims these are exactly and if they would fit for my V70 BJ 99? The hole circle should also win with those 108 mm? Here is the link for the rims: Klik I wanted to pick them up tomorrow. With many thanks in advance for your answers.

Volvo mechanic ask…just don’t
Servus together, I just want to get rid of something…and such “Futzis” that I’m getting closer to, not to support any more… I changed the brake discs in the back of my 850 dti station wagon today…unfortunately I didn’t know where this “snake shaft is sitting to span the pads of the handbrake…alla well…I thought, “OK, look for answers in the net…wanted to find…it wasn’t a post where I could see a) what this snail wave looks like, and b) where this one is sitting… The friendly “Volvomechanic” who is so great here,[about the search engine] is probably the last…sorry if I’m so direct and maybe I’m flying out of the forum…but that’s not possible. You’ll be very attracted to your question that you’ve got…(super good I thought and made a nice statement)…then comes a comment that I’ve already tried everything…(I’ve got a good filling out)…and now it’s a response that you can’t count me now?

Climate Error code 5-1-1 850 20V T5, climate does not run
Hi people, have just added a 850 20V T5 to me with not running air conditioning (climate automation). After switching on the ignition the two control lights flash on the control panel (REC and AC OFF/AUTO). Climate was filled up with contrast medium, compressor NOT switched on. According to Bosch the level was probably already sufficient for a start of the compressor, so apparently no large leakages. 12V directly on compressor: runs and cools (sounds us ́ne can screws, so compressor must probably also be new, but first the control problem should be solved). Did the error code “5-1-1” output, according to error list: “Self-adjustment of the dampers in flap end positions not finished “; seems to be the only saved error. Does any of you experience with the error picture? Is it normal that the compressor does not even start with the error message? Previous work of the previous owner is unknown – but I don ́t think that he has changed something or so. Since the compressor sounds so scary, I could imagine that the area is quite normal – without the problem of being called again?

Engine jerks and goes off when it’s warm
Hello guys, the day before yesterday I bought a Volvo V70 with 144 hp and 270,000 km. During the test drive everything was fine and on the way home it happened. The engine started to jerk and stutter, then also during the gear change until he finally strangled himself. I would like to say that this happened every time you wanted to give a little faster gas (especially during gear change). I then drove into a workshop and let me install new spark plugs and the master briefly checked the ignition if everything runs as it has to run. And it was like that. Now I stopped and drove back to the dealer with a very tame foot again. His workshop master today checked half the day where it can lie. All contacts cleaned up, the ignition hoses, distribution cap and fingers. A call at Volvo directly was pulled through, however we did not get to drive with my Swedes time out of time because as soon as the engine is warm he already said goodbye. He should check the throttle caps but can not give me the dealer workshop master 😉 Well there the condition is not too cold there for me.

ABS lamp
Hello together…. Unfortunately, I can’t solve my ABS problem….Let’s go with it that the ABS light didn’t go off….We soldered the control unit first and then at least a few weeks was quiet and there was TÜV…. Then the light started to light up again and we soldered again and replaced the control unit even with another……That helped but also unfortunately nothing…. Now I have the second used control unit installed (without Tracs, but no matter) and the light is still on…. What is it about?! I have the impression that the large or the small plug has a wobbler….Today on the highway the light was off once 150km and then it went on again….Before I had pulled off the plug and put something on it “played” / plugged in…… the big plug is on you or is sitting on it quite loosely? The one of the sensors is defective, can’t actually be, because it was already measured in the factory stat… Who has an idea?

Volvo 850 questions
Hello together. Have a few questions about my 850 bj. 96. The engine a 144hp 10V. 1. Question refers to the engine oil. I bought the car in March 2012 and shortly afterwards made an oil change (Castrol Magnatec 10W-40 A3/B4). Now I have found that the oil smells like gasoline. Have now heard several times and read that it can come to it during short distance operation. The car is actually driven a lot short distance. For longer rides over about 200 to 300km it comes only once a month. Should I use for this kind of use perhaps another oil? It is diluted by the bezin something. What would you recommend to me there? 2. Question refers to the oil trap. Have renewed the flame screen last week and seen that the old one was not added, but the oil was what was to it, was black and the oil in the engine “still” not. Should I perhaps want to change the oil trap completely, or is not constantly running through it? Besides, I noticed that with the smaller hose (conducter connector?) I can’t find out of the water tank.
