  • C70 I Cabrio owner

    Hello together, I’ve had a little dream since Sep.2009 and I’ve had a C70I (BJ 1999), 2,4T with 196 horses. Cabrio. Now I’m the ‘crazy’ who rides through the country with every sunbeam without a cover… 🙂 I’ve had a lot of trouble in the forums, but still have a few questions that you might be able to answer to me. 1) A super car, with which driving makes fun for me again (with a year’s KM performance up to 35,000KM), a completely new, beautiful driving feeling… .. 2) my first question 🙂 I notice with street noises (channel covers, etc) that the side wheel on the driver’s side briefly claps, is that normal or I can’t fix it with silicone (there is no frame or rubber lip, since cabrio, or gun oil sprays, or you have another solution right away, or solution? 3) actually my biggest problem: The foreowner has probably when opening the roof is not able to fix the fold properly, the fold now has to the open again.

  • Gear odometer 850 VDO BJ.1995

    Servus Community, the good gear in the VDO-kilometer counter, Volvo 850, BJ 1995, has it after 2 x stick after 326,000 kilometers behind it. Again sticking brings nothing more! In another forum it is written that there has been a collection order for the small orange gear here in May 2010. Does anyone have a tip where there is a (relatively) new one? Before I buy a combination instrument I would like to try this way again! Thanks in advance for the help, Meusi

  • Warning people glows and smokes white/grey

    Hello I drive a Volvo 850 2.5 106kw bj 10/1995 and have the following problems vehicle stand about 2 weeks without driving… So error message I had the following. -ABS/Tracs -Service lamp -Warning light with the triangle So now I had the battery for longer time stuck off about 15 min long. so now true all safety lights out, except Tracs not. So I drove then something through the village and he really full at the Qaulmen (white ) also in the stand in warm condition, not in cold, did then run it in the stand over an hour times at 1500U/min and 2000U/min and still still at the Qaulmen then has lighted up at once the warning light engine then shook and went out, could start it again immediately. -so 10/2012 cool water was made new at Volvo and the same level is still the same has the lid when running motor (cooling water ) warm running completely normal no pressure or other fuel consumption is about 1000km – the water consumption is about 0,2km – the water consumption is about 0,2km – the water has to come new.

  • LMM abandoned – car is running (no MM-LMM!)

    Hello people Bismarck didn’t let me start partout this morning, instead the dog got in touch… Towtop attached, the messages somehow all pointed out on the LMM. Since I did a little service yesterday, where among other things the Luffi was changed, I thought first of all, that I accidentally loosened the LMM plug somehow. So plugs pressed firmly on it – car does not start anyway. Contacts cleaned, contact spray – car runs as if had been nothing. An hour ago on the way back from McDoof: The car just drives me right in the middle of the road. Now probably not the first time a moose will leave me in the stick…?! Nope, of course not. After a lot of unsuccessful floggling on the LMM plug, I just pulled out the same. Car jumps on and brings me home as usual. Question: Except that I probably won’t have the usual performance on the AB, can I gurp around so easily, or? I want/must come with the car safely until tomorrow, takes a cable still 200km, takes me home.

    MOIN MOIN! I got “ATE” BREMSSÄTTEL for the rear axle in exchange! (new there is probably no more) because these are like new (sandblasted?) I thought to paint them then, because this miserable corrosion on the saddles did not exactly “inflame” me! as a shade I had imagined black! did any of you have a tip for a durable varnish or experiences in the painting of brake saddles? I once read that it should work best with a small brush?! GRUSS, nils

  • Buy Volvo V70 with 300,000km?

    Moin, I’ve been looking for an older Volvo for a long time, now I’ve found a V70 gasoline engine with 144 hp from 1999. What should you pay special attention to when it comes to mileage and what are the child’s illnesses? Perhaps my driving behaviour: I’ll soon do my paxis semester and do about 20-30km a day for the first 6 months. After that I would like to keep it but then I’d rather travel 30km a week.

I would like to upgrade my 850s acoustically and now had the opportunity to reserve the complete SS from a V70 I with SC900 radio for a short time.Included: Radio power amplifier adapter cable extra CD changer 6x LS amature board LS doors front LS doors rear LS D-pillar I hope you can help me with these open points before the big football spectacle attracts all attention: – Is this the premium package or is it even better (I don’t have more information at the moment)? – Radio should fit, or (so far only a simple original DIN cassette radio is installed + storage compartment)? – where do I put the power amplifier? – which LS are compatible (at least those in the amature board are different in the V70, can you install them with an adapter nevertheless)?   • Volvo 850 Combi springs rear

    I notice that my “new” 850 , same BJ 94 , lies lower behind than my other . Does anyone know a measure ? feathers may be sluggish , or laid deeper ? difference estimated about 5 cm . Did not find any data, the deeper has AHK , maybe the feathers are just gone . grt Joey

  • Oil trap or not

    Moin, I’ve been a little bit more interested in my 855 (Bj. 94, 144 HP) in the last few days. I had been annoyed by the fact that the Simmering was licking a little bit and had changed the seal from the oil filler lid only the last time, because there was too much oil on the heel. Then it finally “clicked” and I did the glove test today. It wasn’t just blown up to scratch now. How much overpressure is too much? If everyone agreed that it was the oil trap, I would have a few questions. 1. Does the Simmerring (if it is not broken) hear to lick up again? 2. What can and should I change everything on the way to the oil trap and back again? It should be worth it. 3. Are there torques that I have to comply with and can tear the screws off from the suction bender when loosening? 4.How do I drive now best until I exchange the trap? 5. Could the hydropunches as well?

  • New used C 70 convertible from 2004

    Hello dear community, I’ve been registered here for two hours and I’ve been feeling a bit of a bit through the forum for some time now. My avensis should now finally give way to a C 70 I convertible. The C 70 has been my absolute dream car for a long time, so that this dream doesn’t become a nightmare, I would have liked to check some insider information, as far as must-haves and costs of the vehicle are concerned. It’s a 2.0 T with 163 hp automatic from 2004 with 73000 km on the clock and the usual amenities (seat heating, heatable exterior mirrors, cruise control, PDC, etc.). What costs come to me during the tooth belt change, inspection and so on? How do the maintenance intervals look like and can I have them done with my special (Toyota-) friend? Wouldn’t I like to be “alienable” because of the brand change of my regular workshop, especially since this also gives me the two-year used car warranty. That the Domstrebe an absolute Mustave is something I couldn’t take care of being able to keep up for myself?
