  • My steering wheel is disintegrating

    But I’m really angry now. If my Denmark holiday I drove a lot and I wondered why my palms are so sticky. I had not eaten anything sticky … and see … with my steering wheel, where you always have the top layer of plastic where you have your left hand. The layer that has this imitation leather embossing. I almost complain to Volvo, but that doesn’t make much sense with a car, which already has 110,000 km on it. I understand that mechanically stressed parts of the drive or driving gear have to be renewed at some point but I don’t have to find it. Or do I have too high quality requirements? I have seen that in EBay steering wheels are sold. Does anyone know if this is necessary to exchange them …. because of Airbag. Or is there something to repair without it looking cheaply? Klebaband doesn’t get wrapped up in the bag and steering wheel overdriver?

  • Need help with drive parts search for V70 R AWD autm.

    On stage the diagnosis was clear. Both front joint shafts have to get out very quickly. Play without end! Who knows here where a V70 R AWD with Getr. 42 Awd autmatic stands on the yard. Or maybe good addresses where I get used parts from. Albert, Scandix, Volvo and Volvoranch I got through. Partly not available or at prices you fall from the faith. As a pensioner you do not have the big bills lying around in a staggering way. For the help many thanks Andreas

  • 850 T5 water boils over

    hej my t5, head seal new, head with the motor repairer pressed off, valve seats etc. made everything clean. new water pump, timing belt pipapo – runs like a new one. so far also great performance, no problems. I chased him up the mountain twice for the test. all good. only – I open the balance tank it cooks massively over – after forced drive. hoses are however never extremely hard. fan starts to run briefly. I don’t know how to open the lid – but I don’t have to check if everything is ok. why does it boil so massively over? the water really gets extremely hot at the turbo? doesn’t know that from tdi, since it makes even at 30 degrees and full gas only briefly hissic. fan is also not going on (beim tdi 50% fan at 94 degrees). thermostat and temperature sensor is new&original. display in the combi instrument is always 3h – white – what is the degree of faith?

  • Cover for headlight cleaning system (holes)

    Good evening and a nice 4th Advent to you, I saw some time ago, that there are for the V70 cover caps for the holes in the front bumper (The holes from which the engine looks for the headlight cleaning) Unfortunately, do not find these caps again.   • Hello new here and urgently need help! (window lifter)V70I

    Hello I’m Andreas and I’m from Berlin. I’ve built a lot of crap. My door speaker on the passenger side was broken, so I dismantled the door panel (for the first time) For better work I separated the door panel from the window lifter. I shouldn’t have done that. I pushed the window switch back into the switch console when I was assembled and flew towards me in the high arc of the switch button. I think it’s futsch, I can’t get it fixed anymore. It just wobbles. I stupidly managed to shut down the side pane, but I shouldn’t have done that either. : ( I can’t get it up now, funny enough not to get it out of the drive side anymore. I shouldn’t have done that anymore. Everything went wrong. Muck, someone has an idea like at least getting the disc up. Next week I’ll buy a new switch. Generally what I’ve done wrong with the installation. Would I have to hold on to the button of the window lifter when I came into the console?

  • Again – water through the pollen filter

    After hours of rain it was time again. Apparently again water ran in through the opening of the pollen filter. Fortunately not much, at least in the floor area everything was dry. I regularly have this problem again, which is creepy to me. The two drains on the side are free. A liter bottle of water they swallowed so. Strangely also the filter itself was pissed. No idea how this can happen. Then the water must have stood in cm-high, which I can hardly believe. I usually have the problem when it rained the whole day. Even if I park the car diagonally, the water probably collects on the side and runs through the opening. Only today the car stood straight. Can it be that the rubber seal does not keep tight. It must have some irksome banal reason.
