  • Steering limit C70 I

    Good morning! At my C70 there are tyres of the size 235-45R17 on it. According to the previous owner he bought the car (new) with this tyre size. The Volvo dealer says that this tyre size has existed ex factory. However, only at the so-called “Special Edition” for the 75th anniversary of Volvo. Of these cars only 15 were delivered in 2002. (Probably this number does not apply worldwide but only for Australia.) Now I just got four new tyres. Same size. e but rub at full impact inside the fender. It seems that they are minimally larger than the tires before. Now, of course, I could just put a thin metal plate under the (blue) plastic attacks on the crossbars to limit the impact. But I find it rather inelegant, especially since I fear that when the steering wheel is pressed strongly against the stop, the track bars could bend. In such cases, there is the original Volvo part 1021947 (Einsch The Skandix number is 271800. The mounting kit is in front of me, but it is completely unclear to me how and where the spacers should be installed. I can’t take it from the description at Skandix.   • Starter does not turn… Relay bridge works

    Ahoi. I have a problem with my V70 2.5 tdi BJ 98. The starter doesn’t turn. The ignition lock is inconspicuous. I bridged the starter relay and it jumps without mucking. Now it comes down: I already tried three spare relays but with no one he can start. What can this be? I did not measure the relays before and after, so I don’t know if they were broken after the start attempt. However, I don’t know how to do it. The safety of the ZV burns immediately after changing. The light switch in the driver’s door is without function. The driver’s door cracks very wretched when opening. I call this for the sake of completeness. Only in case it is somehow connected. So far I only saw that there are ECUs up to ́95 without Tracs and then from ́96 with Tracs. Are there any other differences? What can such a used ECU cost? My moose is a ́96er 10V 144PS with Tracs… who has a functional or even revised module, can also offer it to me.

  • Mirror glass loose, but not loose.

    My outdoor mirror glass is somehow loose. It sits indissolubly firmly in the mirror, but wobbles in all directions, especially on the highway by wind pressure the glass always adjusts. Adjust ( automatically by mini joystick) the mirror can only be adjusted in three directions: up, down and away from the car (so the view away from the car) The motor works towards the car, but the glass does not move. I always stuff a small piece of wood (stock, splitter whatever… ) between is a) very annoying and b) dangerous on the highway… Can I do something or how do I take out the mirror glass and look at the adjusting unit? (is a heatable mirror by the way)

    Hello, here forum newcomer. I have not found any clear answer to my question in another thread and can’t get any further: My shock absorbers on the rear axle are there, oil pressure. T55, 2.0 Bj 96. Now I find everywhere only gas pressure for the rear axle and also no hint that back oil pressure is standard or recommended. My autobastler (no Volvo specialist) that the Ar*** of my Volvo would be on the floor if he installed the with gas pressure that I order I also find only oil pressure dampers for front. What now?
