  • 850s for 50tkm a year… am I making false hopes?

Hello, short introduction: I drive privately about 50tkm a year and now there is offspring. Something bigger has to come here. New / annual car is not in question with me because the value loss per year would be simply extreme. I need something reliable, affordable with charm. Now I have the Volvo 850 R (in dark green simply horny) in the eye and will briefly look at one that attacks the 230tkm. If the 850er is technically ok I CAN expect from the car that he will give me good P the next 200tkm accompanied? I know you don’t have a glass ball either but the 850 would probably be a good candidate or? Thank you very much.

Hello, I want to introduce myself now officially here. I bought in early April a Volvo V70I, 2,5l, 144hp, B5252S for my sister. She wanted a car, I made a Volvo Meanwhile I managed a lot with the help of the forum. However, I still have a few things to worry about: 1. The vehicle hangs on the HA quite deeply, as I find it. He has Nivo dampers and comes up after a longer ride minimally. I mean, however, that it is actually significantly higher so A picture is in the appendix. 2. When fully refueling, he loses gasoline at the transition between the filling tube and the tank. Or maybe even bits further up. There is a seal and a bell, but the clamp at the place looks stainless and almost new. Where does he lose gasoline if there is a problem with the venting? 3. He loses cooling water, about half a liter on 100km without seeing at which point. Starting he does well since he has a new KPR. Main suspect is t the cooler itself at the transition metal plastic, right? 4. He has a Brink AH?, but no keys. And based on the number on the AHK, neither Volvo nor Brink can deliver a replacement key. They want a multi-digit serial number that is not on my AHK. Just on the first and fourth point I would be interested in your assessment.

  • LMM or Lambda probe

Hello dear elk friends, some time ago my engine lamp lit up again. it wasn’t ignition coils or candles this time! I drove a few hundred km so on without problems. suddenly on the highway he started to jerk like crazy faster than 100 km/h and without giving big gas didn’t go any more. ok at home spark plugs out and hoppla all black! I cleaned them and deleted the error and it went again. however after some time the motor light came back. ok have me a n eue lambdasonde put in. 30 km driven and hoppla light went on again! I deleted the error again. however he consumes far too much spret and he has not really steam any more he comes at his speed, but it seems to me, as if one of the cars is stuck from behind :-). my kfz workshop means it can be something on the turbocharger or the lmm. has another idea, before I let the parts change now gradually for expensive money. komis It’s always just a mistake, but unfortunately we can’t tell you what kind of building??!! gruss aus hessen

  • Most common error sits front left

Hey coolest Kommjuniti up in the world This morning I complain to my colleague, my V70 just doesn’t get warm anymore. The temperature indicator is almost on the middle after 15km and still only cold air comes out of the side nozzle. Ok I have now driven relatively much in the dark and was always happy when the windshield had not started.. Thought if I can read something with Delphi there, after the car gets warm. Today when I drove in daylight, thought ic h me, why is the fresh air flap actually open, so the rotary knob on the left of the nozzles above the center console. I turn up and see there, WARM had to turn down the heating after 5km, despite 0 degrees *eek* Ok to my excuse, with the S80 and XC90 you only set to automatic Oh man!

  • Expulsion in the gas acceptance

Moin, I need your help with the diagnosis. I changed the condenser of the climate about four weeks ago and had to remove the fan for this. I was extremely careful with all cables so that I would not break anything. After everything was assembled again, I connected the battery again and started the engine. It then stuttered just in front of it, the fault lamp for the electronic throttle went on and then it is already dead n. I had forgotten to connect the suction tube pressure sensor again, so the plug, the vacuum hose sat on it. Since then it has not been reproducible so that (in my opinion) the motor control again and again quite extremely throttles the power. This is expressed so that, e.g. in the third gear straight ahead at approx. 2500 revolutions can hardly accelerate, the motor tortures itself really high. And a second later the full power is there again. Dependent, even full or partial load does not seem to matter. Otherwise the engine runs very quietly, without any jerker. The throttle valve was overhauled at ecu four years ago, cooling water sensor is completely new, BPR is new. Errors are unfortunately not stored. Does anyone know which sensors are installed in the area of the fan so? Maybe someone knows the error and can help me there on the jumps.

  • Water coolers exchange instructions at 850 t5

Moin moin to the species, would have to replace a water cooler at t5, switch with engine oil cooler. Question: how does it work with the hoses from the oil cooler? Can’t understand a clear attachment to the water cooler. Is an extra tool of necessity to solve the pipes on the cooler? Do I need afterward which parts to reseal? How much time could it take. • Database of original documents, such as price lists, accessory catalogues, brochures, etc.

Moin together, since questions about the equipment, color codes and accessories are asked over and over again, I thought a data collection with original documents would be useful. In addition, every thing like original configuration and purchase price can understand. I personally always find something very interesting. At the V70/S70 I have at least for the model year 00 all documents like brochures and will summarize this immediately in a post. Price lists from 1993 until construction end the P80 platform was sent to me by two users from the general Volvo forum here, thank you for that! But with some more documents I would need your help then.

  • C70 2.5T 193 PS Automatic – Tuning?

Hi! I bought an Audi TT with K04 conversion, larger injection nozzles, stainless steel from turbo in 3″. other LLK, other gasoline pump etc. and it is really fun. I gave it to my friend because he is too small for me. Now I bought a C70 2.5T 193 PS automatic EZ 3/1999 with 101.000 KM for fun because I am an old Volvo fan 🙂 Before that I had a C30 D5 with 210 hp and 510 NM – very horny but unfortunately with diesel sound…. I had this n 2.5T engine already in the V70 and in the C70 convertible – but as a hand switch. The V70 got a different chip soldered and thus reached 204 hp at the test bench and approx. 350 NM torque. It goes quite well and clean but could be of course even better 🙂 Now I want to get a little up with the coupé with the power! I thought of: 3″ downpipe with metal cat (would the tuning company in my vicinity make themselves) 2,5″ ferrita stainless steel from Kat The exhaust is done anyway (Auto st This combination would then be adjusted by means of software on the test bench. What looks out about power and above all – does the 4-speed automatic last without any problems? What would be the next step? Does a different loader fit the serial manifold? Is the charging air at the C70 sufficiently cooled or could you change something? What do you think of the open air filters like BSR etc.? I am grateful for your tips! LG

  • Grilling at the Schrauberhalle East

Hello, the last years I have been able to enjoy the growing number of visitors (thanks to you for your coming). As Markus already wrote in his thread, everything is different this year. So I finally wait for the further development in relation to Corona. I hope the best. Date collisions are already excluded thanks to Markus Terminansage. I would like to put my crickets on September. The exact date is not yet set. But think about mid-September. Willkomm As always, I put grill with necessary heating material, seating with tables, 1 box of water and a box of beer. Planned is a small exit. Look forward to numerous guests, many Volvos and a great day/evening.

  • Gearbox defective

Hello dear community, First of all thanks for this forum, I have read a lot here and almost always found a solution. Now I have a bigger problem. I drive a V70 MJ ’98. 2,0l/ 126hp/ M56 manual gearbox (?). I have for some time a strong hum from about 50km/h front left. Will be louder at higher speed. The wheel bearing is about 5000Km old from MEYLE. The joint of the drive shaft wheel side is new (SKF). Now we have the car in front up and The right wheel turned much faster than the left wheel. Also, you could hardly hold the right wheel, the left one already. Now my question: since I think it is the differential, can you fix it? Or get a new used one? Thank you in advance.
