  • General technical thread about the 10V engine

Hello guys, I just came up with the idea to open this treat because it might help many to understand the technology of the 10V engine. Why the whole ? The 10V engine is a widely used engine which is very grateful and indestructible when caring. But just because it is so often there are also problems. Mainly it should be about how the regulation works because it is really much more special than that of the 20V. Let’s start : according to my knowledge you have the Ansau The throttle valve potentiometer that sits below the DK seat And somewhere else there should be a suction tube pressure sensor, I think it is connected to a hose on the lock carrier. Correct me gladly ! Here everything can be pure ! Discussions about the interaction of the sensors, pictures, participants and and and.

  • 850R speed

Hello, today I have a tricky problem. It’s about a 850R, hand-cracked. He has problems with the idle. Everything is good in the stand, you can play with the gas, the speed drops again as fast as it should. As soon as the car drives, the speed hangs or rises by 500U/min before it falls back much too slowly to nominal speed. I have read a lot about it, the problem is not unknown. Unfortunately, however, a solution for me. It has something With the speed signal (which comes from the ABS) to do….just how? If you take the speed signal from the ABS on the speed board at the A3 connection, the speed falls normal during the ride (logically, you simulate the vehicle’s status, but the ABS and the entire speedometer are missing). If you roll out the car and play with the gas, the speed always hangs or falls too slowly back to nominal speed (as described). Just before it stands, if it is only completely l The reaction of the speed suddenly accelerates and it turns down faster again. From there it obviously lacks the speed signal….. Changed so far the LMM, throttle valve sensor, crankshaft sensor, ABS sensors of the VA including control unit, all vacuum hoses, the tacho board, the camshaft sensor was measured and the throttle valve cleaned. The whole ignition harness is new. Error codes are not stored. And now you please….i I’m curious.

  • Motor jerks while braking – when pumping the brake it gets quieter

Moin Moin! As a winter car I bought a 850er (140hp) Limo BJ 94 / petrol / manual circuit. The vehicle is very well maintained and currently 182,000 ran. Now I noticed the following. If I press the brake in the stand, the motor – speed remains the same. Pump me a few with the brake pedal, normalizes the jerking and the engine runs completely calm. Same happens when you brake when you drive – the engine jerks. Pump me while driving/braking also like r easy, everything normalizes again. I already made an appointment in the workshop for next week, for a complete inspection. But maybe someone has an idea what that could be – or maybe I could fix it myself in advance. Thank you

  • Clacking while releasing the brake

Hello, I get a short “crack” sound when I release the brake on my Volvo 850, which I can’t explain to myself. At first it only occurred when the brake came on while driving, but then it continued to roll. At the moment it also occurs once in a while when I stand at the traffic light and take the foot off the brake. The couplings (stabil) rods were changed the other day, new crossbars were installed and the brake discs are also new. I was told it could be due to an imbalance in the brake disc, but it wouldn’t be too bad. What do you think?

  • Recommendation sought

Hey community I would need a recommendation in terms of brake ventilation device for the private user. There are two variants I have had to say. Compressed air and manual. Those here in the workshops are not really able to vent my brakes clean no matter where I get to everything half-hearted … Now I don’t like anymore and just look for such a device for a normal price. The bay offers some but the selection is great my know how rather modest … what concerns the selection t. Maybe you have one at home and immediately a recommendation. Thanks to all the ventilators Greeting Stumpanski

  • Small purchase advice for a V70

Moin, I’m actually looking for a pass. The circumstances can be read in my threads. I’m still a student driving Golf2. I work for my cars, and now I’ve stumbled over this schniken V70:https://www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de/…/437234193-216-19333 Is this worth a look? Or too expensive in maintenance anyway? What’s important to me is new Tüv, and he has that. Besides, there are quite decent pictures. ? lG and thank you for information! If you want me to write more, please let me know

  • Flipkeys or flipkeys

Now that I’ve been annoyed for several years about this “flower bouquet” of remote control, keys and also keychain of my V70, which my wife mainly uses as a dog truck and shopping cart, I wanted something simpler for the convertible. As so often I was found in the “bay”:http://www.ebay.de/…/390794952113 The key is delivered as pictured. From a remote control the electronics are used. The key itself is only available as a blank. r 10.00 Euro I got it cut at the key service. According to its statement, the roughing is very high quality. But caution – not every key service can mill web keys…. A delicate matter was the extracting of the transponder. Even my “friendly” could not say where the transponder is hidden in the key. So I took a scalpel at my hand and made myself careful on my worst “soft” key…. On d The position and size of the transponder in white are drawn to the picture. Now that I first peeled off the whole key the first time, I would immediately cut off from the side in thin panes the next time, until the bag for the transponder lies free in the hard plastic core of the key. So transponder carefully pulled out and inserted into the recording of the new key. Fits, barely wags and has air…. Finally, during the day only one key in the the trouser pocket…

  • Operation Tank watch

Hello guys, I have a slightly different question. How does a tank watch work? I had the idea to install an AI from the turbo in my 106kW 850er and to convert the turbo needle into a tank indicator for my gas system. The KME’s tank watch outputs 0.49V with full and approx. 4V with empty tank. A tank watch is controlled by a resistance. So you would have to generate a current of approx. 0.017A with a tank watch that measures between 30 and 240 ohms. This is why the thread. I hope one of you has an idea how to realize it. So far. If the topic is completely over the forum, then it should be taken out. Thank you Janko

  • New arrival today

Hello, I’m new today and would like to introduce myself briefly. I’ve had a black Volvo V70 for a few years and love my “black widow”. Is a turbo diesel with about 140 hp. Looking for a forum in which I could find some help from time to time, I came across this one. I hope that you can find constructive help and solutions here. And right away a question: I have to change my rear brakes soon and then the question arises whether I absolutely need to change my rear brakes. hims need? I read that these should prevent squeaking. Can someone please enlighten me? Thank you very much already. Greeting black-witwe.v70

  • Automatic, higher slip of the converter in the cold normal?

Hello together, unfortunately have only experience with newer automatic transmissions, therefore the precautionary question. It is noticeable that my newly bought V70 only has a significantly higher slip on the converter in the cold (e.g. overnight at below 3°C) after the start on the first few hundred meters than normal. In other words, the engine goes up to approx. 2500-2800U/min high to get away to some extent. Switching operations however as usual soft and almost imperceptible. After a few hundred meters the haunted v orbei and the automatic has already under 2000 rpm less slip and thus also more train. Gear oil flushing was just carried out Greetings Horst
