Hello to the Volvo models (especially V50) detailed specifications on the Internet, i.e. with transmission ratios, brake sizes etc. – I am particularly interested in the automatic transmission in the V50 in connection with the diesel engines. Is there any data/specifications on the Internet – or experts here in the forum?! I am particularly interested in: – Is it an automatic converter, or a double coupling gearbox (DKG)? – If DKG, which manufacturer? (Always still the carrier gearbox, as Ford is built? – How does the manual mode work? (We automatically kick-down in “M” prevented?; Are there additional switch swabs?) – Which transmission translations does the automatic transmission have? (incl. final translation?) – Does the transmission have a start-stop automatic? (Has anyone practical experience with the automatic?) Greetings from the South!!

Sports exhaust on 2,4i
Hi, today I gave my little one in the hands of the friend and his doctors for less than 2 hours. Now the double tube system of Heico as well as the appropriate air filter is mounted. I can only say I am thrilled. I liked the sound of the 5cylinder before but now it is simply HAMMER. In the area of 2000-3000upm it roars something in the interior that can disturb a manchma but from 3000 it sounds more like V6 than after 5cylinders. The workmanship is of course also Top and a body kit Volvo with only one tube looks somehow unfinished . I take the days still photos and try to somehow make some good recordings of sound and upload them.

BSR PPC etc
Hi! since I am thinking of taking this step, I would ask you to share some of your experiences with me. I also try to squeeze out the German BSR dealers on extended warranty. I have to understand that one and the same box is offered by BSR in Germany at a wide variety of prices. Are all the same, or are there older versions at cheaper prices? Email Lexmaul Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, I am interested in the Volvo C30 T5 stage 1 tuning. That these devices are not produced by you is an open secret, but not why the device costs with them almost 50€ more than with BSR and with BSR is still a 2 year warranty….? How does the price difference come, are the boxes not identical to the construction, or something else not apparent changed? mfg ————— Many greetings

Swedish summer elch?
Hello together, after my V50 (D5, BJ 207) was in the garage for about 10 days on holiday, the battery didn’t want to go this morning. In my garage, during the low outside temperatures, it had a maximum of -2°C (5 bubble boxes in the same garage, the temperatures survived without damage) and a adjacent BMW X3 (diesel, with 5 years old battery) had no problems and fortunately was able to get started. How should such a car in Swedish Lapland (where -30°C are normal) work? Or is one already on “Chinese quality” with Volvo? Weak picture! Greeting and beautiful Christmas chiflado

C30 Callback action
Moin moin, I received a letter from him on Friday. In it I is informed that my C30 is affected by a recall action. I should make a half-hour appointment with just this one, so that the affected part can be checked. Nice, that they tell me already what it is about… After I called here today, they didn’t know much about this recall action at first, only thought that they had probably come up new and had to ask someone else first. Said in turn. It came out that it was the engine fan (which, how, how, usw. was not said). Think that I will take the one this week to the workshop and then see what will happen if someone already knows what should not be with it. I drive a C30 with EZ: 01/07, but only since 08/08 in my possession. MfG Puhdy

Cover problems C70
Hello together, I have opened the cover again today after the winter and already there were the first problems. The cover opens and closes already, but two things have occurred to me: 1. The loading aid function is no longer possible, i.e. when I press the yellow button in the trunk with the cover opened does nothing more…. In the autumn this went still impeccable. Has anyone had this from you? If yes, what was the problem? 2. In the trunk cover is a felt covering inside. This always tangles with the retracting cover made of plastic, which is in open condition between the headrests and the actual boot cover. This inside felt cover is fixed in the lid with small plastic clips, which are constantly lost by the hooking, because it rips off the cover. A clip costs 8 €! These would still be of interest to me, but the problem remains. Why does this felt cover always tangle on the inner cover? Slowly bothers me, because the scratch cover also has to interrupt the cover.

Wheel change at V50???
Hello, yesterday I tried to change my winter bikes with my Volvo myself, because I didn’t get an appointment in the workshop at short notice. It’s not the first time that I changed wheels with different cars, but never as unsuccessful as with the V50!!! When I released the five wheel nut and cranked up the car, the bike was still bomb-proof, so I couldn’t take it off. My suspicion that I had to solve the mother in the middle of the hub was also wrong – I hope I didn’t make a mistake… Can someone give me a tip on what I have to do and change the wheels!? Greeting colmans

S40 advertising
Moin, I have to unload my displeasure about the new S40 commercial. That the woman doesn’t want to let the boy in the passenger seat, who thinks her new car is cool, can have reasons. But that he can’t even touch him (“finger off!” is really ridiculous. I’m kind of disappointed by this spot. Just because I really like Volvo marketing (at least the corporate communication). Besides Mercedes and Audi, they do the best TV spots and super good websites. Also with sympathetic women, such as the V70 spot (“the sports car”). So, nothing against Volvo, but the spot makes me kind of unsympathetic. Otherwise, great brand, maybe even a Volvo would have before the door, but they didn’t want to approve a test ride… -Ebe

2.4 Petrol exhaust noise at full load and cold engine
my 140hp-5cylinder petrol has the following behaviour (only in cold) engine: with only medium load up to full gas it makes a loud noise, as if (in the front of the engine compartment) anything was leaking at the air eye or in the exhaust system (crackers?) and would be pressed in between. The engine now has 205tkm down and otherwise runs very well, jerk-free, jumps normally on etc. after 5 minutes drive the noise is gone. That means it gets less and less when the engine is completely warm, the noise is also gone at full load (full gas). Does anyone know that? What could it be?

It should be young used C30
I would like to spend about 15,000€.. which is not the absolute limit of pain now. Love a Volvo C30, because it is just so refreshingly different. I still like only the Guilietta, while the well-known suspects like 1 or A3 are simply too boring. So two questions. What are the costs for the portable Navi? The Volvo side doesn’t give anything. On the Swiss side, almost 1000 francs are indicated, but I don’t know if I can easily convert that. I prefer built-in Navis, but if the impact for the fixed Navi is simply too large, it’s more worthwhile to have a portable installation. Of course, look directly at mobile.de. He jumped into my eye.http://suchen.mobile.de/…/showDetails.html?… Does that just happen to me or is the car too cheap for the equipment and running performance/age? Or is that just the price level?
