  • Volvo C30 1.6D fuel pump defect

Hello dear Volvo fans, this is my first post in the forum, so please don’t be too strict on me. With my C30 1.6D the fuel pump seems to be defective in the tank. The replacement at the dealer should cost a whole 800€, which is unfortunately too much for me for such a small pump, especially since the car is already an accident car and has 220000 kilometers on the clock. So I have to make the exchange now, which should not be a problem for me either, also helps me now to my problem, the original pump is supposed to cost 400€ and I find it nowhere in the net… If someone knows about it and knows perhaps more similar or cheaper alternatives, because 400€ are not inside with me at the moment, besides the price seems to me to be exaggerated. Greetings from Hessen.

  • Eternal theme, alternator V50 2.0D

Hi dear community, my 04’er V50 now has around 190tkm on the clock and the LiMa spins. Neither the battery is charged nor does it give a voltage of itself. The on-board network then sinks piece by piece depending on the switched on consumers until nothing works anymore… The alternator is already the second one that has been installed… Question: Can I check the connections of the LiMa? Will Marderdamst, cut-off cables or anything else exclude. knows someone exactly where the connections a n lead the plug or even its assignments? Thank you for your efforts!!!

At least I think that as a Volvo newcomer. what I’m still wondering is what the “i” behind 2.4 has to mean. Is somehow unsolicited, can someone explain that to me? What else to say? What to look for? hlappe 300 km to Oberhausen – of course you try to exclude the big risk. Thanks already

  • Reset service interval V50

Moin moin, just turning off, lit me up: “Do standard maintenance” (or similar wording). The DPF maintenance was done about 6 months ago and 10k km. Has the service forgotten a reset here or is that the memory that the timing belt has to be made soon (car is now almost 10 years old) ? Actually the latter should still have time until May 2016. Someone an idea? Should I reset the counter or until the next regular Ignore maintenance in May?

  • New DPF in V50 1.6 D already after 20,000 km? Need your help.

Hello all, my V50 1.6 D is in the emergency run program. I am in a free workshop here in Berlin with the car and they wanted to install me a new DPF, because error code P2458 (Russparticle filter regeneration too long). I remember however, that my friend, from whom I took over the car, had already done something. So I first took away from it. After consultation with him, it turned out that a new DPF before about 20,000 km in a free workshop In addition to the error code P2458 (Russparticle Filter-Regeneration to la ng) I also have the error code 10816 and 10800 (difference pressure sensor, signal error). At the workshop, where I was so far, you just wanted to replace the differential pressure sensor. But a troubleshooting before new parts are installed would be practical. From the contract workshops the friend advised me not, because he had no good experience with the car there (da PSA Motor) Do you have suggestions, what I can do there or a good workshop here in Berlin, who is familiar with the V.50 1.6 D engine? Thank you for your help!

  • Accident V50 2.0 TDI D3 request help

Hello together, I almost broke everything in front of me in a crash (not the engine). I then brought the car to Volvo for an estimate. … the bad awakening came then…9000 Euros want to have and alone 7000 are estimated for the parts! The car is only 5 years old and only 80000 driven, I would like to drive it on but a repair of 9000 is the madness… now my questions: 1. Can I light the two defective active xenon r also replaced against non-active ones? Because one alone costs around 800 euro.. I don’t care about the curvature light 2. Where do I get decent spare parts that can also be paid for? 3. Is there a tip regarding GOOD accessories? It doesn’t always have to be the original. 4. Wss would have such a vehicle much of residual value? I’m looking forward to your answer…

  • Oil loss at V50 2.4

Hello forum, I discovered a few drops of oil on our parking space a few days ago. Starting in the workshop, engine cleaned, warm driven, underlooked. Then it was said: Probably the bonding of the oil pan is defective. Could also be the Simmerring, but probably the oil pan. Oil pan for € 250,- re-glue, drive home, the next day new oil drops under the car. Back in the workshop, now it was called “yes then it is the KW Simmerring”. The mechanic smelled at the stage. “Hopefully it’s not a transmission oil, it’s just engine oil, otherwise it’s expensive. But transmission oil smells different.” Now I have an appointment on Friday where the Simmerring is exchanged. For € 550,-. A scum who thinks bad things about it, but I’m afraid now, of course, that I have new oil drops under the car again on Saturday, and that it then says “then it was gear oil”. My question: Can it be that in the workshop before a repair not exactly fixed This can be damn expensive in the long run… For me, of course – the workshop is happy! What would you do? Thank you for every tip, greetings, Magub
