  • How to check the level of the servo oil at Volvo V50 1.6 D 2010?

Hi, I’ve been driving a V50 for a year and a few weeks ago I heard so tedious surren while driving. Maybe it’s normal, but I’d like to check the filling level of the servo oil, because maybe there’s not much in it anymore. After a long search I finally found the storage tank under the right headlight. Seems to be somehow part of the servo pump. But oh fright, when I unscrewed the lid, there was no trace rod integrated in the lid. I want to suck out the old oil and fill it up with new oil at some point. But how high? Everything is somehow not thought out by the car. Others have a nicely accessible reservoir with a knife. Does any of you have an idea? Greetings

  • Squeaking on the rear axle

Servus, I’ve had really bad sounds on the rear axle since today, this morning on the way to Stuttgart there was nothing (about 80km from home) then when again 20 km drive, there was still nothing to hear, but after that we drove into the parking garage, it started to squeaky or what it is, you hear every floor shaft or curb. What do you think, silikonspray brings something? Volvo v50 bj 2004 km 229tkm

  • Windshield C30 leaks passenger side

Moin, and the next problem with the new purchase: Today, the salt with the high pressure cleaner in the wash park is fixed (not kept close to seals, of course). Then got in and saw that there were some lanes of water running inside on the passenger side at the windscreen. Super. Vehicle has no sunroof or similar and is just 8 years old. My 31-year-old second vehicle still has its very first windshield in it (date code 10.83) and is With a convertible, I would still understand that you buy it in the rain or drive it through the wash road, but with a compact vehicle all over the world!? Is this a known problem? If so, is there any remedy? From the inside somehow Sikaflex/silicon/seat mass on the top of the disc frame? If you get under the sky somehow. Photo attached – the tracks are ALL from the inside.

  • V50 2.0D engine damage

Hello people, so as it turns out, not the starter of my elk is broken but there is a bigger problem. Cooling water somehow (workshop doesn’t know how) gets into the engine. Due to the fact that the combustion chambers fill themselves with water is no longer possible. That means new engine has to go in. Engine is driven by me about 12000 km and on the clock are now about 155000 km. I bought the car from my dealer 4-5 months ago. Is so annoying, since I am at e in the replacement engine about 3000-4000 Euro should still pay itself. Must see what to do with warranty still. But workshop has already signaled that there is probably nothing to do. I am at the moment really frustrated. Greetz from the just passing Mace

  • air-tec-systems

Moin Leutz! I just got my hands on an advertising flyer from Air-Tec-Systems… They advertise with a “spool” on the intake hose, which puts the air into vibrations… the flyer says: “By means of an electric coil, which is built directly on the intake tube or the intake tube, exactly defined resonance vibrations are transmitted to the intake air. The vibration frequencies excite the molecular structure of the air in such a way that humidity wass It is split into its components. Freed hydrogen provides for a more intensive combustion of the fuel, which avoids harmful deposits and reduces the proportion of soot particles, as well as unburnt hydrocarbons in the exhaust gas. On the other hand, the energy efficiency of the combustion is significantly improved and this results in a noticeable reduction in fuel consumption” In my opinion, complete peasant fishing… especially when one sees the pictures in which these “Spule” with armored tape on the intake tube…. How do you see that?! Just interest me…! Have a nice weekend! Groetjes, Boppel

  • Finally our S40 is Premium! =)))

So, I really have to get rid of something and rightly so. I can only recommend the car dealership Benz in Dieringhausen to all Volvo interested from the area Gummersbach or Cologne.www.swedenbenz.de I have had the problem with the xenons and the crackling in the interior for so long now. I picked up the car and I am speechless! It does NOT crackle anymore, the xenon shines twice as far as before and I am more than satisfied. What was done : -Clothing on the new versions of belt rollers installed for noise reduction. -B-pillars claddings with an “Anti-Knarz varnish” and insulated in various places from the inside with fabric cushions. -B-pillars claddings completely cleanly re-attached and fastened with new insulating tape. -Medium airflows completely removed and cabling from the inside completely re-installed. -Xenons re-calibrated and adjusted to maximum height. -New Softwar e installed for the 2.0D. ——————————————— Conclusion: I am extremely satisfied and 100% satisfied this time and can only stay on top of any rate. The xenon now shines much further, as said, the interior is absolutely quiet even with potholes. There is no after-virbration in deep basses any more. The engine has now become really “toxic” after the software. Super!!! =))

  • Bicycle carrier…?

Hello, we need a bicycle carrier for our summer holiday this year. We already have cross struts, which are attached to the roof rail. How much are the fitting attachments that you can then also pack on wheels? Or are there also rear luggage carriers? Are these recommended, pros and cons? So far we had only roof carriers on our old cars had. What solution do you have? Greeting, Willy
