Hello, I had new brake discs and blocks installed at 133tkm in front of 06/15 (brand ATE was installed with No. 24.0125-0197.1). I need the 320mm version. Now at 170tkm, the things are jerking like crazy when braking. Speak – I want to change again. Only: Which discs I thought were good, but they already moved a few km ago. Hello, I had a problem with my uncle’s car yesterday on the highway (Volvo V50. 2.0d). The car has accelerated at once without gas actuation. Since the exhaust came from dense blue-grey smoke, I think that the engine somehow sucked in oil and burned it. But fortunately I managed to choke the engine quickly before it burns the whole engine oil. What could be the cause of this? Defected turbocharger? Could “just” a significantly too high oil level lead to such a thing? What cost would my uncle have to reckon with roughly?

Evening on the other hand, I have been fighting for about 10,000km with heavy oil loss, means at least 1l on 1000km. I have been in the second workshop today and they also thought that the engine block has to be opened. Also the turbo should be replaced with this masterpiece, although it is dry, because they don’t hold much longer than 200,000km anyway, so do everything immediately the first time. The costs will probably amount to 250€ what do you think of it? In the exhausts traces of oil have been proven it drips nowhere anything out of the engine. Greetings Feda78

Hello guys, For some time now the current consumption S40 II,2.4i Bj.04- shows at the approach 99.9 L. Then it goes down again to 7-12l corresponding driving way. Now the V50 has about 45,000 km on the clock, and I carry meticulously book about all tank stops. I come cumulatively to a consumption of 5.8l/100km. I would not consider that as a problem if not the full-bodied advertisement had been. In addition, I had a V50 1.6D of the year of construction 2005 before. Hello forum community! I’ve been looking for a lot, but I didn’t really find a clear statement. Maybe you can help me: I drive a Volvo V50 2.0D from 2006 with 195Tkm. The car is running quite well, but it seems to be constantly or too often on the rain. I notice this by the way of driving in the partial load range (rumbling) and at strong oil dilution. I left off almost 8L at the last oil change (after 8Tkm). I was already in various workshops, no faults in the memory, all measured values ok etc…. Now advised me to change a workshop, possibly the DPF, as it may be short before the end. But quite sure you are not… Now I would have the opportunity to get a DPF out of an accident Fzg. (75Tkm). I wanted to do this myself, in order not to spend so much money. Screwing is not an issue for me. Now I can change the question: Can I just save it without something o.ä.? Many greetings and thanks!

Hello together, yesterday I bought the first Volvo of my not so young life: a Volvo C70 Momentum 2.4i gasoline with 125 kW. The car has only 71000km down, partly the previous owner (or his wife, because it was her car) did not drive 5000km a year. Nevertheless, the C70 regularly received its customer service. Also he had almost new summer tyres and also new winter tyres are included. Technically he seems to be very well maintained. Externally, there are some parking racks, but I want to eliminate them with the time. I am happy about my new purchase. But what bothers me, that’s the question about the timing belt change! This has not yet been done (is also no wonder with the low driving performance), but at least the car is already 10 years old! So my question: When should I let the tooth belt change at my C70?
