Dear Volvo colleagues, at my V50 unfortunately the rear wheel bearings are now at 110000km defective. I changed them before only about 2500km, but they are over after these few kilometers. The (Internet) dealer, without naming a name, takes them back without any problems and reimburses me the costs. The quality problem should be known here, as the wheel bearings have been removed from the program and replaced by others. Now to my question: Are the wheel bearings at the V50 identical to those of the Ford Focus? For Volvo I simply find no OEM bearings from e.g. FAG…… Has anyone had experience where I get high quality bearings? What can OEM bearings cost? Tach! Yesterday, for the second time, shortly after the start, I had a pretty bad grinding noise from the engine compartment.. Engine start, ca. 150m driven, then it started. However, until I stood up again, bonnet, out of the car was quiet again and did not occur again. My wife already happened two weeks ago. From the noise I would have typed on eating climate compressor, or amok-running secondary air pump. But the climate cooled and the noise was gone after maybe 15 seconds. The car has only 100,000 km and is well maintained. About the 5 cylinders I have read here so far only good, or is there bad experiences? And I read the timing belt should be changed after 8 years? So I would have to change that then? Is the car otherwise reliable according to your experience? Hello, I’m currently interested in a used C30 with the 1.6 diesel with 109 hp from 2010 (Facelift). I think the car is quite attractive and represents an alternative to a used one from the VAG shelf for me. My question is what it looks like about the reliability of the model, especially with the 1.6 diesel. Is there any experience there? Is it really so economical? I called a friend who works at Volvo. He rather advises me about the diesel (turbo damage, expensive spare parts). But he also admits that nowadays all turbodies would be vulnerable…. He also thinks it would be a Peugeot engine. Hello first of all, here some data about the car: It is a C30 2.0 is 3 years old in February and was bought by me at the beginning of November with 42000km. Hello, I got a V50 2.0D with DPF last Tuesday. Year of construction is 11/2004, km-status at the moment 87,500km. Yesterday suddenly the following problem occurred: After starting (engine cold) the vehicle suddenly has almost no power. It is as if the car had no more turbo. Speed maximum 2500prm and absolutely lame! Well, that goes well with the car! I have the diagnostic device “PPC Diagnostic System” from BSR. That showed with no errors in the motor electronics. Now I made myself a little smart in this forum times, as well as I could. Additively seems to have been refilled at 60,000km. At least there is no indication available that would indicate a missing additive. In some cases I have heard that either the DPF can be dense or a sensor provides false values and the BC then thinks that the DPF would be dense and the engine performance thwarts. Where does the sensor sit? Can you test the function somehow? How expensive would it be to change? Do otherwise have an idea of what does not indicate a mistake?

Hello Folks, I’m still going crazy here: I installed the TomTom Carkit in my Volvo C30 and wired everything wonderfully (i.e. power via the lighter and audio via the connection in the armrest). The doofe is that the CarKit does not receive any satellites or the signal is so weak that the dropouts come. I also have the additional Car Kit tool on the Iphone to see how the reception is. If I keep the CarKit docked out of the window with the Iphone, then the Mistding immediately gets Connect to 9(!) satellites. Does anyone have a similar experience or has a tip like I still get baked?
