Hello, I’m thinking if we should get a V 50. Have two children (9 and 7) who populate the rear seats. Now I’ve been sitting in it once, if the driver’s seat is set for me, I find the knee clearance in the back acceptable, but my feet just fit under the driver’s seat. The Volvo has some kind of doll in the footroom back, so I can’t move the feet anymore. Does anyone of you drive a V50 with children in the back? Is the space available ok? Or is it going to be fast too tight? I don’t care about the luggage compartment, in case of doubt a roof box comes along, then it fits anyway. By the way we drive now nn V70 D5 (163 hp), which is nice big, but you drive just a lot alone, short distance or city, and there I find it rather tacky and a little “unjointed”. Hello together, I’m just putting together my interior equipment (for V50). I’m really stunned, the views and patterns I’ve seen are too small. You can hardly recognize anything, let alone imagine it. Unfortunately, my friend has no V50/S40/C30/C70 with real wood Nordic standing around. The wood looks really nice. I just wonder how sensitive the surface is? Is the wood painted or otherwise treated somehow? How scratch-sensitive i the surface? Volvo also installed wood on the door handles, I wonder what that looks like after 2 years? I used to find wood in the car always stupid, but it becomes really more comfortable in the long run! The inlays alu should not be scratch-resistant either. Thanks already to the wood fans….Micha

Hi, on 04.10.06 I took over my new V50 2.0D from the friendly one. Super Auto unfortunately the Navi did not go – no Sat reception! After three workshop visits the busy screwdrivers found that in the factory a cable from the receiving part was squeezed during installation. Since today one no longer laid pure power cables, but data highways so-called BUS systems could not be repaired this cable. VOLVO therefore thundered my friend the complete vehicle cable construction I saw the thing in the shipping box 0.5 m x 0.5 m x 1.5 m colorful cable !! You can’t imagine that! Three days of workshop picking up !! I can’t imagine that this action can go well with the best will, the car will be a great folding box. The first 6000 km were pure joy, despite not funning NAVI.
