Does anyone else know any problems with the remote control? There are days when I can push around as much as I want, but the doors don’t go. If only the small key remains to be pulled to get into the car. Sometimes when the key is closed, but less often there. Usually when the remote control has failed when I open, then I drive a little bit, it works again. Is it the battery in the key? Is there a way to re-learn the keys? With other vehicles, you turn the key a few times between ignition off/on and then press a button at each of the remote control to re-learn it. Otherwise, what else can it be?

MJ2008+ USB/mp3 gapless play?
Hello together, I would be interested to know if the mp3 player (via CD and/or USB) offers gapless play. Will two consecutive tracks be played without audible pause if they pass into each other? The CD player can do that if you burn the disc accordingly. Portable mp3 players can only do that partially. Is there a difference between MJ08/MJ09 and MJ10 with the audio package High Performance? Does the USB interface handle 2.5″ notebook disks without additional power supply? If no, how did you solve this? How long does it take for such a system to be ready for operation after launch?

Driver side electronics fail
Moin municipality, maybe someone already had this error: With my V50 D5, MJ 06 the electronics of the driver side is dropped. That means, the doors on the left do not close to key command, window lifter and mirror adjustment does not work. If one sets the ignition more often and then it works again for a certain time. Regularities or a reproducibility I have not yet been able to discover. Any Ideas, except the drive to the – greetings

(C30) What kind of car is that?
Hello, Ride a C30 built in 2007 Mj.2008 and are often asked in parking places in front of supermarkets or DIY stores what kind of car it is. Some type on a Fiat or a Japanese or Korean. When I say they look at the rear flap there are the manufacturers are the people are very surprised. At the rear is also the type designation C30 with me. However, hardly one knows that. Also the Volvo logo in the radiator grill is unknown to most people. Volvo and the Volvo C30 especially seems to be an exotic on German roads. When I say: This is a VOLVO say most good safety, long-lived, thick sheet metal etc. so they seem to know the name Volvo but not the logo and the models. But to 99% very positive opinions on my C30 What experiences have it made with your C30. Seelze 01

Volvo V50 or Audi A3
What do I have to do with a Volvo V50 2.0 D or Audi A3 (1,9 or 2,0 D) , I have already stumbled over here in the forum and now I don’t even know which one to choose at all, it always comes to which posts you read. Have both cars recently tried ( Volvo V50 2.0 D and Audi A3 Ambition 1,9 D both year 2005). To the V50: + much power + good driving behaviour + in the seats I probably felt + 6-speed + very economical (approx. 7 l/100km) + cheaper than an A3 (approx. 2-3 t €) – inside very simple – small glove compartment to the A3: + interior processing super + good driving behaviour +/- had not so much power vie of the V50, although I was an A3,9 D but the A3 is smaller than I think it would be nice to be able to compare them very much?

Nervous noises in the C70
Hello Our C70 now has two extraordinary workshop visits behind it. On the one hand, the Dynaudio system has brought our doors to vibrate – this has been solved with great confidence and now Premium Sound is even more fun. On the other hand, there are two more noises on the driver’s side: a trembling/vibration/springs/folding in the area of the dashboard, which is clearly audible in the case of floor waves. Then a quiet knocking in the area of the driver’s seat below; the knocking occurs almost always in the case of floor waves, load changes or simply almost always. Both noises definitely do not come from the roof construction… Does anyone know these sounds and there is a solution? Or did someone have similar problems and could they be solved? I am grateful for every advice, because we have already invested a lot of time in problem solving (of course at our own expense). Now the work is asked, since all the solutions specified by Volvo have no use.

Buy S40?
Hello first, I am currently looking for a new car. My favourite is (was) the new VW Jetta. However, after some research, I found out that the engines I want are a lot, but unfortunately not exactly stable and reliable. That’s why I’m afraid of it. So I’m looking for alternatives at the moment. I noticed the S40 with 145 hp (manual gearbox). The problem is only with Volvo I know a little about and no one in my environment drives a Volvo. That’s why I hope I could be helped here. I would just like to know how durable and reliable the engines and overall the technology is. Besides, how is the Spri consumption with the vehicle. Generally simply a report of experience with all positive and negative about this vehicle and general about Volvo. Thank you already in advance.

Tyres or wheel bearings
Servus with each other, My S40 (II, 2007, 124,000km) is getting louder and louder when driving. Is such a roll-off noise of the tires, comes rather from the front. Somehow the noise is always there, but I think a little depending on the outside temperature and the speed. At 50/60 km/h it is zbsp relatively loud and I have the feeling that the car is somehow “raw” on the road surface, the chassis may even be very little vibrating (but can also be imaginable). On the AB also this roll-off noise (monoton, almost like in the train), steering wheel calm. The tires are Pirelli Cinturato P7, at the front they are relatively far down, about 1.5 to 2mm in front of the brand. No big saw teeth visible. At the back the tires have much more profile, but visible saw teeth. Why the profile depths are different I don’t know, ride the car only since February or 20,000 km. The question is now the tires or the wheel bearings? How can I recognize this by simple means? If I just have to get the tires and I don’t have a good time, I have the tyre.
