  • RTI Navi controls on the steering wheel

    Hello, since yesterday I am proud owner of a VOLvo C70. The vehicle has a Momentum equipment with RTI. During the transfer of the vehicle I confirmed that the control element is missing on the steering wheel, although Navi is present. (Figure no.3) Short to the previous history….The vehicle was purchased at a DB branch. Before the purchase complete check was made by the DB branch and then a service was carried out at VOLVO. The Volvo dealer near me confirmed that the control element on the steering wheel must always be present at the RTI, makes sense also, most importantly no control possible (except with the senseless and cumbersome remote control). I have already contacted the DB dealer, but he twitches with the shoulders. Contractually it is stated that the vehicle had no accidents (according to the previous owner). I suspect that the steering wheel/airbag has been exchanged times. Thanks for your opinion in advance robhh

  • Starter at Volvo, are there better alternatives?

    Hello Volvoprofis, yesterday it turned out that my starter is defective. I drive a Volvo V50 2.0d, on the starter stands FoMoCo (so a Ford starter). Unfortunately a well-known problem with Volvo, however, this starter is not at all of stretch and so I assume the Ford has these problems too. Since Volvo dealers charge outrageous 478โ‚ฌ net for a small stepper motor (starter). Did I ask directly at Ford times, as they demand for the same component 256โ‚ฌ gross. Now I am of the opinion, however, according to various forums, that this starter is scrapped and you might get better from third parties. What is your opinion about this starter, was it possibly improved in the years? or did you have better experience with other manufacturers? Thank you Greeting Philip

    Hello together, since this morning I have been shown in the display “Book appointment for maintenance”. Even though I only drove about 9000 km with the car. KM stand is now at just over 48000, the 40,000 inspection was preferred at 39,000 km. I bought the car used in February. Can you tell me what this is about?   • Plug connection / steering rod

    Hello together, yesterday was with the dealer around div. accessories for my V50 ( comes in 10 days ) to examine. I happened to get a deeper insight into the foot area / pedalerie. Unfortunately, yesterday there was no contact person at the dealer present who could help me further. Maybe you have the corresponding information …. There is no plastic cover of the steering bar in the foot area, i.e. exposed steering bar. Is the “Premiun standard” optically adapted to the aluminium center console … looks almost as if something has been forgotten … What is this for a multi-pole plug before / next to the lever to open the engine compartment ?It seems to be very unprotected without the appropriate cover / lid … so whether a cover has been forgotten. Is this in general with all V50s so or only with the exhibition piece of my dealer ?

  • Windscreen wiper purchase/change

    Who has changed the wipers at the front ? How expensive was it ? Where was it done or bought ? I would need new ones, but it is always warned of the costs at the Volvo dealer. Very good quality would be important to me, then rather more expensive. Thank you for your information ๐Ÿ™‚

    Hello dear forum, since I have to pull off a lot of km in the next time (working way) I am looking for a new car at the moment. originally I wanted to buy nen golf 5 diesel, but really everyone drives it… and since I saw the c30 for the first time, I’m really impressed with the design – and it’s also individual… but now to my actual question: I plan to buy a c30 (2.0d) used, because I can’t afford a new one for monentan ๐Ÿ™ this should be: – max. 45.000km – climate automatic – cd player with aux-in – multifunction steering wheel – alus would also be quite good – tempomat – e-window – and the usual krims-krams halt… I don’t want to spend more than 16.000โ‚ฌ – of course less…. is the c30 2.0d long-lived enough? rides in the year about 30tkm to 85% autobahn…. is there any weak where you should pay attention to a vehicle?

    Hello Volvo fans! I’m looking for a new/used mobile kit. I’ve been offered a V50 now. I’m not sure if there’s a catch. I’ve already got the following basic data: V50 2.4 Geartronic Momentum, Electric Silver-metallic EZ 10/2005 35,000 km 140 HP 1st hand checkbook. last inspection 3 months ago at Volvo Audio Package High Performance Sound Dachrehling Anthrat Parking back seat tongue Driver + passenger RTI-Navi with hard drive LM rims 205/55 R16 Delivery package 1 (whatever that means) Should cost: 15.500,- Euronen !!!! Have still extracted a current NAVI software from the dealer ๐Ÿ˜‰ According to previous owner accident-free, but a small parking rempler back right or left (I don’t know any more). But was removed from Volvo. Is this a good offer? Do you need your help?

    Hello together, after I had my C70 4 weeks ago for the service at Kroymans here in M (where I bought it 23 months ago), I noticed by the way, that the insolvency-related soon close. Will there be a successor or is it the first time? It would be nice, of course, if I knew where I can turn in the future, if what is with my car.     Which engine would you take if you didn’t drive more than 15000 euros a year, mostly extreme short-range operation, especially in winter often only 2×1,7km of city traffic, because the cooling water indicator moves just when I park the car.   • Problem with drive or coupling – please to Hife!

    Hello! I am the owner of a Volvo V50 2.0d built in 2006. For a short time I find that when accelerating in the 4th, 5th and 6th gears the revometers at about 1800 revolutions jumps up to approx. 2200 revolutions and then immediately falls back to the starting value. From the engine a latent throbbing is audible. It (engine) sounds as if the tires were spinning. However, I can safely rule out that the tires are spinning. The problem occurs permanently. In the 1st, 2nd and 3rd gears this problem does not exist. I tested the clutch insofar as I wanted to drive on the handbrake and inset gear. In doing so, the clutch grips perfectly. Oil exit in the area of the engine could not be detected until today. Can anyone help me?? Thank you!
