8 hours after the warranty expires: Engine damage at 30,000 km – Volvo does not pay Ct.
On the 18th of April, at 8 a.m. I stayed with my Volvo C70 (new price 54.000,–) with engine damage. It is the D5 engine with a mileage of 30,000 km. After consultation with Volvo it turned out that the warranty has expired exactly eight hours !!! Volvo is now reluctant to pay even one Ct.. On Kulanz it is not possible, because a proper inspection was made, but not in a Volvo workshop. For the warranty case this would have been ok, but for the “Kulanz” not. In my opinion not exactly an example of a car salesman in the upper market segment?

100,000km in the C30
So today it was time – on the A3 (Frankfurt – Cologne) climb Elzer Berg we filled up the 100,000km in the C30 1.6D. Only shortly the experiences again: Except for a refill of the coolant last summer no extraordinary preliminary achievements. 2 weeks after EZ there was a martenbiss, currently the air conditioning is repaired because a stone stroke has damaged the capacitor. Otherwise the little one runs like a clockwork, average consumption is 5,6l/100km. Until now there is also no snaring, no flapping – nothing. Even if I can not hear the word “premium” in cars soon, but on our C30 it is true. For our current needs actually the perfect car. Yesterday we drove a Golf VI 1.6 TDI Comfortline sample. In comparison, the insulation is more elaborate, but does not use so much at highway speed anymore, because the engine itself is louder and above all wind noise increases strongly. And the interior mood with every amount of hard plastic could not stop with the noble aluminium console of our C30 – I really don’t know what their car tip is smoking here.

volvo S 40 Gas conversion
Hello, I might like to buy an S 40 from 2004. I have a few questions about this, of course. Is it possible to convert the moror from the 2.4 and 2.4 i respectively to autogas? My friendly dealer denied this. Do you already have people here who have gained experience with it? And what costs do I have to expect? C30 80,000 Km inspection
Hello together, drive a C30 1.6D BJ. 2008 and have to give it in 4000km for inspection. Well, warranty has unfortunately expired and I have a few points that I would like to address at the workshop. These points would be: – Let gear oil change (the oil that DriveE gear is used should be better) do you do that by itself, if I say gear is a little rough? – left seat knärzt beim ein und Aussteig – Right speaker probably has a crack (can they get that out on site themselves, or do I have to identify the speaker myself?) Now to my main question: Sometimes, in idle run, the speed varies between 900 and ~650. Especially if I can drive on a traffic light and let the car roll empty and come to a stop. Since it is a self-ignitioner, can be here no faults ignition shorts. I would like to fix this problem, but do not know if you can find the error (whether leasing company pays the reperatur at all). What else is replaced? Brake linings, DPF has been read as a car.

Saw tooth formation
Hello, I’m now driving my second V50 (2.0D – EZ 12/2009). Now, after changing from winter to summer bikes, I noticed that the right rear wheel gives a clear singing of itself. I already had the same problem with the predecessor – also at the back right. As I assume that this is about saw tooth formation, I am surprised that problem occurs back right again. Now my question: Is this a general problem of the 50s? Is there a way to avoid this! In advance, thank you for your answers.

C30 D5 Make-up mirror in sun visor break as if by magic hand
Hello! My C30 D5 year 2007 can obviously conjure up! A few months ago I noticed by chance that the make-up mirror (is used as good as never) had cracked in the folding sun visor on the passenger side and that it was radiating from the edge into many parts. Grober handling it etc. was not memorable to me – but you never know… . In the friendly one one one was surprised (never heard before…) and changed to Kulanz by 50,- the aperture completely. Three weeks ago I then needed the mirror on the driver side – which had just jumped apart now. I was irritated, because breaking by heat voltage separates as well as – garage vehicle, always use the air conditioner, never stands any longer in the plummet sun (North Germany!). Have bought the little elk last summer with 1.5 years from the dealer, then both mirrors were quite safe still intact. Has someone had an idea of what it might be or has already experienced something like that?
