  • How far would you drive for a car?

    I would be interested to see how far you would drive to buy a car? Are you still looking for a C70 II with our ideas, but here in the north they want to see real money.     I have read a lot about them here and in andren foren. positive as well as negative. but what my opinion speaks very much for heico is that my extension of the new car guarantee does not expire. and that’s very important for me. I don’t have a buck to destroy my car by “cheap” tuning. I have now asked at heico a stainless steel exhaust and an andren (without volvo designation) cooler grill. result: ca. 300 euro for an unpainted chiller grill ca. 900 euro for stainless steel exhaust with tüv review (fürn volvo c30 2,4i) and the prices have surprised me very much. I am a trained metal builder and for the 900 euro the exhaust can only be murgs.des can not work! or is it a product from far east quality and also the price ratio between a cooler grill (unlacquered) and exhaust (sold steel)????

  • 60000km Interval for air/fuel filters too long?

    Hello, I had bought my Spanish reimport Volvo S40 2.0D with 16500km and a Volvo inspection… On closer inspection of the air filter housing I thought that these screws are still virgin and have certainly never been opened. A few days ago I became a friendly friend in Lörrach and had a look. He pulled a rather bad looking air filter insert out of the box, which I of course had to replace immediately for a new one (20.65€). I was only angry once because I had bought the car with a freshly made inspection. The master thought that this was normal because the air filter would have a change interval of 60tkm. Well, mine definitely should not! Look at those during an inspection not at least once, what makes the part for an impression? Inspection means after all look? The car runs with the new air filter noticeably better. Now I ask myself whether not again should have changed the air filter again and let the fuel filter also be renewed? First, who knows what is done in Spain. And secondly, I don’t find 60km as a changeover too long.

    Hi, I noticed when driving today that I got out of the exhaust a dune cloud comes by the gas, to that I have parked I see a black surface on the asphalt. Does it have something to do with that I have used a product that should keep dpf clean (picture with it). Help me worry about my treasure Volvo V50 2010

    Dear reader, I have once asked you the following question: My contract workshop had changed my two shock absorbers behind me on 27.1.2014, because I left a supposedly light oil. I paid for the bill 668.- – it was also changed the hand brake rope because this was also marode. So now ‘s – after the change of the DPF (see other thread from me ) I had to go back to the workshop about 3 weeks ago because the V50 went back to the emergency prog.. only after the then still changed the fuel filter he runs neatly. Since the technician cut me in (another as on the 27.1 /but same workshop) one would have to renew the shock absorbers behind ???? So a bad luck but also – now we actually got the shock absorbers on 27.1.14 – as it looks not changed … I am still stinking – the workshop tries to talk out now so “material errors of the new ones “and it would be exchanged again – of course on guarantee of the shock absorbers are exchanged by me (as it looks like it was not the same as a good thing to me).

  • V50 2.0 D BJ 09/04 with RPF Turbohole and “Ruckle”

    Hello now my V50 has been driving since 2006 and was actually very satisfied.The good has now 232,000 on the hump – the RPF has never been changed! For some time (about 9 months) I notice the following problem: Turbo hole at approx. 2200 rpm – partly no trajectory i.e. it attracts to then hole and attracts again. This error occurs in very small interval at the acceleration – My friend (Volvo contract workshop) is overwhelmed with the problem – reading the error protocol does not bring any result to me it only bothers – now it happens even more often that the emergency system starts – i.e. at 2000upm it completely closes – lastly this happened during the overtaking process – since one can really only curse absolutely inexplicable that the friendly ones find nothing! Turbo should be in order – that can actually only be an electronic problem …?

  • Volvo S40 II 2.0D power loss on the motorway

    Mf all of you can’t count on it. I’m new in this forum and for over two months proud owner of a Volvo S40 II 2.0D momentum. I’m very happy with the car, especially because I got it far below the usual price and the car is wonderfully preserved, outside as well as inside no damage and like new. Unfortunately I have been having a problem for a good three days when I’m on the highway. I drive on the highway in 5th gear, under 2.900/U min (are about 120/kmh) the car has as good as no power. I can’t really speed up and as soon as a small slope is there, it’s over anyway and the car is only slower. Of course I’m not sure whether this is normal with a Volvo or not. I can’t imagine it now because it wasn’t that bad a few weeks ago. I didn’t drive a lot on the highway but still don’t freak me out that it was just better/others before. Even in the 4.Gang I’s more the feeling that the car isn’t running like in the first few weeks, but I can’t expect to get a lot of a lot of it.

    Hello, my wife just filled 25 liters of Super in the empty tank. It’s a 2.0D…. Still while the fuel ran into the tank she noticed the confusion and interrupted the tank operation.
