  • V50 T5 AWD Aut. buy or not buy this is the question

    Hello people Why I turn to you has a very simple reason. I would have just had a V50 T5 AWD Aut. BJ 7/2006 with 78000km on the watch at hand. The car is in the best condition and also fully Volvo partner service provided, so the engine has nothing to assume about it and you can also find no report that it is a vulnerable engine. Only I can find no or spooky information about the Volvo 5gang automatic and the AWD. Are the prone ones? Do they perform fault-free or are there known defects?…….. I want to buy a car with which I reckon with a teure reperatur “MUSS” I thank you already in advance. MFG Rudi

  • Where is the seat heating relay in V50 year 2005

    Moin, I have a problem with my air conditioning, because it only cools on the driver side. The problem seems to be known, so I already had the actuators calibrated several times and the error memory was read out, but without success, even a “play around” at the temperature or ventilation strength did not work. Well, long speech short sense, I have read this thread -> motor talk – problems with warm cold air current and now ask me, where is my seat heating relay? So, if it’s under the seat, I eat a broom, so much is safe.

  • I’ve got a couple of C30 questions…

    Moin, because of a move I have to give up my previous V70I and buy myself a Euro4-capable car – of course again a Volvo I bought a C30 2.0D Momentum from 04/08 with 110tkm. I always found it really chic. (However, I’m not really happy about it yet, because I have to hand in my other loyal companion – two are simply too expensive :,( Can you tell me if and which common wear parts/standard bugs are in it? Now I wanted to push the new one into the workshop of my trust and ask for an overall assessment/prognosis, which is the next thing to do. What’s special about this model? The new one gets fresh TÜV and DEKRA certificate. But somehow it’s suspicious if the car house lets me do everything for me – if you know what I mean. As far as the DEKRA has shown me so far for the new one and we could also determine there are only two little DELLS (<0.5mm) and otherwise really no optical defects. What would you have paid me for this old car, but I would know about 250€.

  • Which engine to buy in the C30? T5 or D3?

    Hello moose driver, after looking through some threads I have become a little smarter, but I am interested in something that has hardly been mentioned so far – the driving behaviour. What is your opinion/experience? According to dealers, the 2-litre machine is a “circular saw”, so it is quite sporty to drive only at high speeds. Only the T5 or the D3 with personal engine adjustment. Both 5-cylinders, both almost equal torque, both with 6-speed/automaton. Are both turbos comparable? E.g. response/turboloch? Drive a V70 D5 at the moment (and still) but I think in relation to the C30 the driving behaviour looks a little different. Unfortunately up to now I only had a 1.6 petroler to test drive – so the engine does not work at all (at least for me). LG Stefan

  • Traffic messages in RTI Navi

    Hello, since a good week I am proud owner of an S40. I am absolutely satisfied, but still have a small problem: RTI Navi shows me no traffic obstructions. Once I have already stood in traffic jam, and the Navi has cheerfully signaled free travel. On the radio come the traffic messages and only the traffic jams from 2 km long are called, because everything is closed, and my great Navi says that there are no messages available. In the settings, one can choose a transmitter. I tried different stations, but with no one I get a result. Is this a weak point with RTI Navi, or am I too stupid to use it properly?   • Oil reproduction at the V50???

    Moin municipality! Actually I’m on the road with the Benzen, but today I need your advice: Friends of with drive a 2.5l diesel V50. Year of construction and further details I could submit if necessary. Problem is that he already has a change of diesel in the engine oil again. Volvo finds nothing and wants to play Teilelotto at the expense of my friends. Supposedly there was a call back, but since the car was bought used, there was apparently no message. Question 1: Is such a call over the KBA and all holders are notified? Question 2: Was there such a call back? Question3: What could it be about that Diesel comes into the engine oil?   • C30 T5 Power loss (especially) in the high speed range

    Hello! My C30 T5, built in 2008, 55,000 KM, 230 HP Turbo 5 cylinders is a bit of a concern for me at the moment… I was with him recently on the highway. In the past he reached the top speed of 230-240 km/h, according to Tacho, without any problems, as pulled by a rubber band. Now he pulls from about 140 km/h only very slowly to about 190 km/h, it feels like he lacks at least 100 hp. In the lower speed range I notice no loss. There is still a good pull. But that’s my subjective feeling. I have not measured the time of 0-100 yet. The car was always regularly in inspections, directly at Volvo. The wear parts have always been replaced, I use the good 0W30 oil… Otherwise everything is still original at the car. The onboard computer also reports no faults. Had someone here already had the same problem? – Can it be that a hose in the area of turbo-conductor is still a little bit of pressure built up? Before all the bad pulling in the fourth gear. Or maybe the order is something better for me?

    Hello, there is already a parr thread, but nobody has a final solution. With my V50 you can’t open it to the tailgate from time to time. What was initially tolerable is annoying me now, because there is no regularity, except that the moments in which it can no longer be opened become more frequent. Curiously, it happens that I sometimes come a few hours later and it goes up again, sometimes it doesn’t. Sometimes I drive a round and it goes again, sometimes it doesn’t. Sometimes I pull harder at the flap and it opens, sometimes nothing works. I have – after it first came up with the lock with WD 40 (regularly) and had the EInpressure it went well. However, last time the flap can’t be opened any more with every 5th attempt. How are your experiences ? – lock defective ? – electrical equipment defective ? – control device defective ? – sensor at the handle was defective ? Could you find the error by means of reading out and remove doubtless? Entries is not remedied by the dealer?

  • Emergency run at the fuel reserve

    Hello Volvo forum, a workmate has been a happy V50 1.6D driver for about 1/2 year. Now he has a corissant problem and an incredible statement of his car salesman. For the first time he noticed the following phenomenon at the beginning of his Volvo time at the beginning of this year.   • C 30 Buy DrivE or rather not

    A friendly hello to all Volvo drivers, I had no connection to Volvo at all. Through a company car (Focus 1.6 TDCI) I found pleasure in the small diesel and then stumbled over the TV advertisement of Volvo DrivE. I quickly got out that it is the same engine. Since I only need a “2 person car” a C 30 would be the right one. Unfortunately our dealer had only a 1.8l gasoline for a test drive. Did I like it well, is something else. The optics for the sake of space is not enough, but that’s enough for me. Now the question Focus 1.6TDCI, C30 1.6 DrivE or possibly wait for the 1.6 diesel in Golf 6???? Therefore I would like to ask you: Is the C 30 to be recommended? How about the workshop costs? And even more important, has someone already had experience with the DrivE 1.6Diesel? I fear that he is translated to fuel saving so long that he doesn’t make any fun anymore. Could it be that I am right there.
