  • Replacement car AU/HU – a horror!!!

I have to let off a little bit of steam! I just brought my V50 to my Volvo dealer and accepted my “replacement car” there! To the previous story: I called more than 2 weeks ago and asked for this appointment! Then I was asked if I needed a replacement car! I said yes and still decided that I would NOT want to have an automatic, because I am not used to this and would like to get out of the way of any problems! Today I am then to the dealer, gave the car and the mechanic says to me that he only had an older Volvo there! I didn’t think anything – go with the mechanic to the car and see a really old Volvo (don’t know which is that) stand there with AUTOMATIC! He handed me the key and says that that would be the car and he had no other standing there! Since my girlfriend was there, I didn’t say anything (after that a very big mistake from me) and I got in, I once listened to a short introduction from my friend in matters of automatic and then he drove away! The car was not always there and he told me to be absolutely beside it!

  • Which one of you drives a FlexiFuel?

Hello people What has taken me for a long time wonder; who of you drives a Volvo with FlexiFuel operation in it? So E85/Benzin. Do you always drive only E85? How is it with people from Switzerland? (Since net is not yet intoxicating). I myself wait for the 2.5T F to finally become official, or its prices known. (Will a C70 2.5T F) Greet Howard P.S.: For those who don’t know yet, the C70 gibbets from 2009 (MJ.2010) as FF. I know from the dealer from Gümligen.

  • V50 entry rails rear

It’s hard to believe, but there are apparently no four-door car entry rails as protection against shipped child’s feet. Neither for V50 V70 XC 90. There’s such an advertising carrier bar from Heico, for which one would have to start the front one, so that it looks reasonably fitting. And then there’s Heico on it, on all doors, and everyone asks – you’re called…blabla… why is there Heico on it, did you have an affair with a guy who doesn’t know about it? So I kindly let the VOLVO men hand over two front entry rails at their expense and saw them in front of the Volvo Schrifztug with a fine iron saw, cleanly smoothed and unburdened and with the result it can live very well. Since the threshold areas are shorter, the front threshold connection looks different from the front, looking backwards like the front entry rails, one doesn’t have the impression, here someone has something to blame.

  • C70 II – T6 with double clutch transmission

When will the T6 petrol engine with 285 hp and double clutch transmission (possibly still with AWD) be available as a C70 model?

  • USB or iPOD interface MJ08

Who has already installed a USB or iPOD SChnittstelle in its C70 (or V50S40C30) or at least already obtained offers? How much is the effort and the costs? Thanks for answers 🙂

  • Volvo v50 2.0D Is there an “additive-empty” message or do you have to refill on suspicion?

Hello! I have a very simple question: Is there a corresponding message on the dashboard with the Volvo v50 D2.0 when the additive tank is empty? Or do you have to refill it blindly after a certain number of kilometres driven? I have the feeling that the tank is quite empty, I did not drive the car until 17,000km and do not know when and whether the tank was filled by the predecessor. Thanks already in advance!

  • Distinctive start behaviour 2.4i

Hello, the speed at my V50 (2.4i with 170 hp) is immediately after the cold start about 20-30 sec. at about 1,800 rpm. This is so far OK, and also known from other cars. But the engine is quite noisy. Is the engine at operating temperature it can happen at start ups that the valves briefly clearly audible clapping (can of course be something else, but sounds like valve clapping). Is this normal or does someone have the same symptone with his Volvo ? Greeting

  • Volvo V50 approx.4 L water in the footroom behind the driver’s seat! HELP!

Hello! On the weekend I found out by chance that there is water in the footroom of the rear seat seat! (Only in the footroom behind the driver’s seat) (Only in the footroom behind the driver’s seat) After I sucked it out with a wet suction cup, it was about 4 LITER! For about 2-3 weeks I had a slightly muffy smell in the vehicle, but it was really extreme! So I didn’t think about it. I thought the foot mats were wet due to the constantly wet shoes, more than that. Had a lot of rain in the north lately. Symptoms: -Water in the footroom behind the driver’s seat, all other footrooms are 100% dry! -Lightly muffy smell -on the front window are every few days (not always & not necessarily rain) at the start of the journey 2-3 small water drops on the passenger side on the inside of the top I thought: can be Dondenzwasser because of the humidity in the vehicle?!!! -After I took the door seal at the rear left door I put light smear film and light mold under the seal and only on the area? Can’t be easy?

  • Hot circuit – heating permanently heats

Hello, I hope you can answer my questions about my heating problem. Or at least help me on the jumps ; ) I changed the heat exchanger in my 2004 Volvo V50 T5 last year. I had to remove the center console and the middle fittings in order to get to the box with the heat exchanger. Now I opened it and replaced the heat exchanger, then everything was assembled again and everything ran as before. But now I found out that the heating blows out very hot in the footroom of the passenger and it gets unbearably warm at warm outside temperatures. My first guess was that I did not have the housing surrounding the heat exchanger properly closed so that air exits sideways as soon as the main fan is on. I checked this today and determined that everything is in order and the housing even has a build-related opening to the incoming and outgoing lines, which allows a small air flow from the housing. Ok, as far as I’m good. Now to my questions: 1. Is it right that the heat exchanger is also switched down with the cooling temperature?

  • V50 consumes more than 1L engine oil at 100Km!!

What’s a problem with the car for weeks, that I don’t explain it to myself, so I ask for a tip! 7 months ago I bought a car (Volvo V50, petroler 178 tkm) from dealers. It made a good impression and went through the TÜV despite errors in the exhaust system (red light), which was later repaired. A few weeks ago I checked the engine oil level and there was nothing in it! The car behaved quite normal and there was no engine oil indicator!! Immediately 4L 10W40 shook in and drove. Within 2 weeks I had to refill another 5L, although my driving performance is maximum 300km/week. Last week I changed oil and filter, this time with 5W30. Yesterday, exactly one week later and after about 300 km of driving performance there is no oil in the engine! Here are few corner data: – No oil stains on the parking lot – no unusual smoke from the exhaust – car performance is normal – no unusual noise to hear – fuel consumption at just over 10 L/100 km – driving behaviour: I don’t know about 50 of it as a school.
