  • Volvo C70 II Interior vs Interior V70 and V50 /Purchasing consulting

Good evening in the round, I’m interested in a C70 from 2010 as a leisure and connoisseur car. In my family there is a V50 2012 and a V70 2010. The interior of the V50 is remarkably easier compared to the V70 for my terms in terms of material appearance and equipment. Also, I feel the space available for the front in passengers in the V70 as much more generous than in the V50. Also, the seats are much more comfortable. The V70 is for my feeling pleasantly restrained lean luxury. Now the younger generation C70 is based on the V50, which can be seen also on the cockpit. Unfortunately, I don’t have a C70 in my vicinity, which I can inspect, every offer means at least 1-2h journey in one direction and of course appointment and rumble with sellers. Therefore I hope for your experience as a quasi verbal pre-intend . Although it seems rather illogical, the C70 on all images on the net is somehow more powerful and also somewhat unworthy than the V50 is an uncomplicated car, but it seems to be a bit more compact as a pre-tend.

  • Does your C70 get worse when you drive over “30 Thresholds”?

With my new C70 I have a quite clear poltern, if I drive (with 20 – 30km, roof closed) over these flat (!) thresholds in the 30km zones. The noise does not come to me from the roof or the rear, but from the front axle. At one side (with only one wheel) overrun no such poltern is audible. With my two other vehicles (older T4 bus and 8 year old Seat Toledo) I always hear only a weak noise from the tires at the same road sleepers. Gruss: Peter (who is very satisfied with his new C70)

  • Where does the water disappear from the washbasin?

Hello, maybe someone can explain to me the following: Vehicle: Volvo C30 Bj 2007 I fill the container of the windscreen washing system brimfully. The container may be tight, because after some time the water level is unchanged (I did not drive in between). If I drive now for example 2 days, then about half a litre is missing. I did not make the washing system in between. However, I imagine myself to smell the sweet smell of the wiper water (frost protection) from time to time through the ventilation, especially after a quick bend ride. I do not believe, however, that the water overflows and can leak out at the closure, since it looks dense. Does anyone have an idea? PS: Although I don’t have xenon, the headlamps should also be cleaned, since these covers are present on the front bumper (in front of the headlights). However, there are no traces of a cleaning on the headlights themselves.

  • Lowering springs and C30 widening of tracks

Hello together, I’m new here and have a question right away.. At a Volvo dealer near me is a C30 2.0 D MJ 2008 with a really great color combination 😉 Since it is available for 15300€ and has only 35,000 km, I am thinking about whether I should buy it.. I already talked to the dealer and made a test drive for tomorrow.. So now to the question: The only thing I don’t like are the high wheel boxes, it’s 18″ Atreus rims on the car and a R-wheel drive.. Nevertheless, I would like to lower it and widen the track.. Can anyone tell me if I put 30mm shorter springs on the R-dampers, whether the car really goes 30mm lower, or are the R-dampers eh deeper than the “normal”-dampers??? Supposed the C30 would be 30mm deeper, by how much mm per axle I could widen the track with track plates without which I can follow up actions (during, etc.) I would have expressed an absolute greeting now!

  • C30 almost delivered. I burst…

This afternoon delivery from my wife’s C30 had already been warned by the complaint about the poor delivery of my XC70 that I was walking around the vehicle with the magnifying glass) The seller had a great delivery talk with my wife. Everything was well explained. Vehicle was also super clean. I insisted to see the vehicle from below. And there it was. On the drive there are the underbody claddings. One of them almost clattered while looking at it. mechanic was brought to repair. Meanwhile to the cash register and paid. Seller asked if the tank is full as agreed. Negative answer. So mechanic was sent out again to refuel. All so far clear. Goodbye. Hugely pleased. Then to the vehicle, seat folded over to put my wife’s basket back and then we saw it: The bench was full of water stains in every conceivable size. (somehow before before enthusiasm.) g not noticed) leather cranberry. Water stains are good there. Sellers meanwhile at the next delivery. Other sellers snapped and showed. There must be the conditioner, but he has work evening. (my comb began to swell, but I remained calm.) My wife meanwhile drove my car home, Wauz is waiting already. My salesman then came by for a moment, looked at this and asked the other salesman to take care of me. He wanted a T first. My suggestion: spare car and I pick up the vehicle tomorrow at noon. Was accepted. Keys (V60) wanted to open tailgate, nothing happened. Driver’s door was open. Trying to lock, nothing happened. Again in the workshop, master snapped, diagnosis battery empty. (Vehicle was brought back shortly before by another customer) Other key, other V60. Everything works. First away here. On the way to the valves g the tank, for 10 euros. Driven home, wife with dog Gassi, my house key in my car. (with which my wife went home). Waited 45 minutes, then finally in the apartment. Man, I have had enough of the muzzle. So with both cars Murphy ́s Law has reached full. How can one as a dealer with a customer twice so much crap. (There is also a history to the C30, but to this have i d now no more nerve) Stupidly also no photo taken of the stains.Great question: Do such stains go out without residue or do I have to expect that they will come back in half a year??? Must there be a new reference in there? Frustrated greetings whether such incompetence of the dealer Horst

  • Purchase advice C30

Hello dear Volvo community! Actually I only write here in the VW T1,T2,T3 corner. But since I’m getting tired of the bus and it should only be taken out to meetings or similar events, I’m looking for a new everyday car and need your help. I’m looking for a C30, diesel, preferably 136hp (or another useful engine) , old model. Does someone happen to sell one here? Otherwise I would need your help, what you can buy, what you have to pay attention to, what are so common quirks with the box etc. Important here would be so rough numbers such as taxes, insurance, costs of the parts at a workshop, generally workshop prices and so on your experience. I like to see cars that are something. How much would you have to look at if you don’t want to have a husked box running with forever much? Thank you already for your help! The competition would be a BMW 320D E46. However, I’m scared by the maintenance toilets here and besides that everyone ;-).

  • C30 – Question Summer tire & 70,000km service

Hello, would you like to ask, what kind of summer tires do you have on your c30? My Pirelli`s P7 have kept about 30,000km and are no longer usable for 2011. Have the following tyres in size 205/55/R16 been considered: – Vredestein Sporttrac 3 – ContiPremiumContact 2 – Bridgestone ER300 would also interest me what the 70,000km service costs about? Thanks for the feedback. gruss xhappyx

  • S 40 claps and pinches at the VA in cold

Hello, my S40 has, so I think a problem with its cathedral camps. If the car has stood for one night and is then driven, claps and pinches it that I think the VA breaks. Strange is only as soon as the Volvo is at operating temperature, the flap is gone. The snaring is still heard during the parking maneuver or bends. But after some time about 30 km this has also disappeared. Extremely loud are the noises at high minus temperatures. What does your cathedral camp mean or something else? I only got an appointment in the middle of March. But could there be no problem with this lack until then? Until then

  • V50 1.6 (100ps) “18” good decision ?

Hello, I’m new on the page !!! I’ve already read many foren and was thrilled because I absolutely wanted to belong to it. Have a Volvo v50 1.6 ( 100 ps) NAJA is quite enough BUT would like to have “18” ATREUS rims. Have now “15” rims on it, am driver’s license newcomer and wanted to ask you if it would be a good decision to buy the because then the 100 ps would be difficult to bring them on the road. I also heard the higher the customs size, the higher the despeed. then I would manage the 200-203 km/h.

  • Engine damage after 68,000 on the V50

Hello community, have a really sad topic. I bought a brand new volvo V50 (2.0 diesel) in 01/2006. Was actually always satisfied with the vehicle and had the V50 regularly according to the service booklet at the authorized dealer’s for inspection. Because of family growth I had to switch to a larger vehicle and have left the part at the beginning of the year my parents-in-law (until then the car had run about 56,000 km). My parents-in-law had the inspection at the Volvo dealer directly and were also very satisfied. 2 weeks ago now on the highway (without notice) report in the on-board computer: engine maintenance. Afterwards the parents-in-law, after you drove down from the motorway, are to the roadside and have looked after. Vehicle then no longer jumped….. Diagnosis after return to the dealer (on a car transporter!!!) Capitaler engine damage, after the turbocharger broke and the whole ÖL of the engine sucked up. Volvo now wants to take on 50% of the costs (sage and writing 9600 Euro) can not be anything else? Does Volvo? Did anything else happen??
