Moin colleagues, I’m thinking about whether I should finally buy a C30 before it disappears from the price list. Actually, it’s not the question “ob” but rather “wann”. That depends a little on the OHL, on how long I can and wants to drive my 2001 SAAB 9-3 convertible ….. So, only with the engine question there is still a big question mark and I wanted to hear your opinion. OK, this should not be a typical “Which engine fits best, I am the one and the one and so and so” – become thread, there are plenty of them. No, I want to know from you what experiences you have done with Heico Sportiv, what such a pimaldaumen costs and which of the two solutions is to favor and why. To choose, see the D3 or the D2 with Heico Sportiv! So, what your point of view? Thanks in advance, please, but no “That depends on how you carry out” advice/answers pragmatically.

Volvo V50 howling from the engine compartment
Meal, I have a problem with our Volvo V50 (Bj.:05, 2.4i, Automatik). Since a 50km long motorway ride this morning, a funny howling from the engine compartment comes in. I had immediately thought about the V-belt, but that could be ruled out immediately. The howling is so hard to locate with the ear when the engine is closed. The noise itself is very similar to that of a howling V-belt. The car howls continuously. If you drive faster and faster, then the howling will be quieter, but it is not quite away. I was also right at the Volvo dealer, but because of the hot engine so could not get there. The car comes to the dealer in the morning immediately, but I wanted to ask if someone had had this problem before, or if it is known. Then I could give the screwdrivers the same approaches where they could look.

What options can be activated with Software Update ?
Hello, does someone know what you can unlock or add to a V50 basic version of options with software update without the need for hardware ? There are some who say that the seat heating is generally installed, but is activated via software depending on the equipment package or not … Are there things that you could use later on in this way ? Gruss E.

C30 Reserve wheel
Hello, I’m in possession of a Volvo C30’s, but without a spare wheel. On request at the workshop, a spare wheel would cost me more than 200 €, which seems a bit much to me. What about spare wheels: Is a spare wheel a spare wheel, is it a difference? In how far is it better than a filling kit? Where is it best not so expensive? Is a spare wheel dependent on the model of the car? Questions about questions, hope you can help me. Thank you already in advance! PS: My first car, therefore I have no idea Best regards

Questions about tires at new cars
1. After a little more than a week with my “boy” I noticed that my Michelin Primacy HP carries the index 91 W. So allowed up to a speed of 270 km/h. Isn’t that exaggerated? Couldn’t Volvo have saved? Wouldn’t an index of H (210) maximum V (240) have been enough? After all, the car is registered with a maximum of 210 km/h. 2. And then I wonder if Volvo has the tyres from home with gas (lower rolling resistance, filling does not escape as fast as air) or conventionally filled with air? SuFu unfortunately didn’t help any further. Thanks in advance.

Pressure-deep tolerance?
Hello moose community, does anyone have any idea if there is a tolerance limit for the press-in depth at Volvo (V50)? According to type certificate ET 52.5 are registered at 16″, would an ET 50 be released in this case? Gustav

Which xenons are in my V50?
Good evening together! I’m new in this forum and hope for as nice Volvoristi as in the V70 neighbourhood forum, where I come from, so to speak. I don’t just want to say “hello” but also ask a question. So, which xenon burners are in my “new” V50 D5, year 2008 with Bi-Xenons? Unfortunately, the operating instructions don’t give anything and I don’t want to straighten up the headlights to look up. I’m afraid that I need new burners, because the light yield is much worse than with my V70. The V50 newcomer and bush rider wishes a nice rest of Christmas1

Power drop at full load D5
Today I finally had the opportunity to demand my D5 a little bit on the BAB. The BAB was completely free and I had set the cruise control to 180 km/h. After a short time the car accelerated abruptly to 190 km/h. I then switched off the cruise control to manually give gas. Suddenly I had no more power, the speed fell back to 160 km/h. After that I had no way of reaching higher speed ranges due to traffic. From the feeling I would say that too little fuel was injected. I tap on the diesel filter. Does anyone have a better idea? By the way, I had no error message and in the subsequent sliding operation I could not notice anything unusual. I was curious what you say. A nice evening wishes Max

V50, 2005, 1,8: I’ve filled E-10!
Moin in the round, I had read here on MT last week a fairly well-founded contribution to E-10 which took me many worries and after checking again the compatibility for my engine decided to test it just once for a tank filling. The tank was almost empty and so the E-10 immediately came to the effect unmixed: IT WAS A DIFFERENT! I always got angry about the rough run of the 1.8er and that was suddenly gone. The engine runs quieter and quieter. Or did I succumb to a placebo effect here? I have always fueled SUPER+ or even ULTIMATE so far, but didn’t feel any improvement and now rather unconsciously registered the change after starting… Did I want to put in the room like this… Greeting KK

Tired imbalance?
Hello, my summer bikes have already been weighed for 2 times, but do I still have a light slaging in the steering wheel from about 70-75 km/h and between 90-100 km/h. Does my tyre dealer just not have it on it or can this have another reason? Oh yes, 205/50 are 17 tyres from Dunlop on original Volvo rims.
