Hello together, I’m playing with the idea of getting my first Volvo. Specifically, I have a V50 2.0D from 2004 in mind, but it already has a lot of kilometers on the hump – 230000 (was a representative vehicle). Is there something to consider with this mileage, which I should definitely check with the car? The inspections were made up to 220000 km all, but I don’t know if the timing belt was changed – it could be good, that at 240000 the big inspection and the timing belt are due then… Are there other vulnerabilities that I have to pay attention to? Hello, one year after the purchase of our Volvo, the extension of the warranty is now open to debate. What do you think? Is this useful or not? Is the warranty from Volvo good or does not take over the typical Volvo files anyway? The cost point of the extension is 299€. I know that no one can tell me if there is a damage to the more expensive than 299€ or not. But I would be very grateful about experiences or greetings!

Hello, my C70 now has around 15,000 km “on the clock”. 2-3 months ago I noticed that the winter tyres make a “comic” sound when the steering is hit. Sounds like a car with a brake plate. I first thought that it was simply on the winter tyres and did not give me any further thought. The front tyres were driven more strongly at the outside and inside despite the correct air pressure. The tyre dealer spoke in the context of a “saw tooth”, but could not exactly consider whether that came from the fall or from the driving method. Now yesterday again summer tyres were pulled up and the noise is back! Continue as before only when the steering is hit and will also be faster at increasing speed. What can this be? Hello Volvo-Gemeinde! I would like to get your advice… The following situation: We drive a V50, year 10/05, 2.0d DPF, 185 tkm. The vehicle is well-kept at the friendly one and yesterday absolutely fault-free went over the TÜV. The vehicle runs only long distance (120 km/day), annual mileage approx. 30-35 tkm. We are now faced with the decision: Sell or “start up”. I would be interested in your opinion what you would do. Basically we both (my wife and I) find the car absolutely great, are very happy. I have only certain concerns about the durability of today’s common rail diesel. Unfortunately we are no longer in the age in which a diesel with 200 tkm was “graded in”. ALSO THE FRAGE AN EUCH: How would you act?! Repulse or continue until it falls apart?! Freue me about many opinions and of course also helpful experiences! In this sense, all a nice Advent time!
