Good evening to everyone. I need your help. If I want to start in our Volvo C30 (Bauj. 2012, Diesel), it turns briefly and then only starts to click. Lighting also goes on and off. Battery is charged. After the 3 attempts to flash in with the plugged ignition key, inside the complete amature board. The message “brake failure – safely stop”. But the vehicle does not jump on… Does anyone have an idea and can help us? Thanks and greetings a We Kaiserslautern. Daniel

Track broadening
Moin moin Once again I have pulled up my summer tires (Ford Titanium Alu ́s, see profile). But since they have an ET of 52.5, they are now quite far inside. I want to get distance disks for it to look harmonious. The tire hinsel said, I should take a water-wag and hold the at the upper edge fenders and then measure (tire hub to the water-wag) then I have about the size I can take. Gasaget did. The result is about 55mm per page,if I now get 50mm slices, do I have to pay attention to what? 50mm slices is already a lot. Or should I rather measure inside fenders/wheel?

Expected lifetime – your opinion?
Hello everybody, I’m interested in your opinion: My V50 (a D3 from 4/12) currently has a good 66,000 km on the clock and gathers diligently on. Until a few months ago, most of the kilometers came from the long journeys between Munich (my home) and Dortmund (my little daughter’s home). For some time now, many trips between Munich and Italy (my friend’s place of residence, easy distance about 420 km) are added. In other words, my V50 is up-to-date and until further notice It’s a lot on the highway. It’s actually almost all long-distance kilometers that the car collects, between 3500 and 4000 km per month. In the city itself I’m practically never driving a car, but public transport. I’m now thinking about the expected lifespan. My plan was actually (and still is) to drive the car to scrapping because I really love it. But I’m starting to wonder if a sale now, since the kilometers are not too many or would it make more sense to keep the V50? How long will it last, probably, if you can predict it on the basis of your own experience? I have read a lot in the forum here about expected repairs, weak points, etc. at the V50. But what I lack are long-distance experiences. If it is important: I have three years of connection guarantee, but the relativizes itself also mi t increasing mileage a bit. Greetings Thomas

Safety belts
Hello, I’m relatively new here with you. I drive a V50 MJ2010 1.6 DRIVe and am very happy with the car Since I bought it used, I have a question: If you want to strap off, the belt lock “wear” so you have to hold it down so that the belt jumps out. Is that what I want or should I let the friendly one look at it again? Thank you very much!

Upgrade cigarette lighters to 12V socket
Hello, for the connection of my navigation system I would like to exchange the cigarette lighter in the center console for a 12V socket. Is this to be done without much effort alone? Maybe someone has some useful hints (material requirements, work steps etc.). What would the upgrade cost when? Thanks Matze

Climate compressor no longer starts (Volvo V50 2.0d)
Hello together, maybe you have an idea. So: – Air conditioning didn’t work anymore (compressor no longer starts) – Then re-fill the system (according to the workshop hardly anything was missing in air conditioning fluid) – Unfortunately without success – All fuses checked (but nothing broke) – The system was tested for leak (condenser not defective) Workshop suspects that the turn-on electronics is defective, since the signal is not “ON” when pressing the A/C switch in Vida Only when the switch is held down, then time the parameter “ON” on. Workshop now wants to exchange the electronics on suspicion (cost point still unknown)? Does anyone have an idea? Would be very grateful for every tip.

Battery V50 sudden death?
Hey, I’ve got something for you again. Fzg. V50 2.0 d 2007/8. Yesterday when unpacking I accidentally got on the panic button on the key. So I panicked and pressed around like wildly on the key until the noise had an end. Then wanted to start but he only says clack clack and a gaaananz tired shaking. Then nothing else except the click of the starter. Before no error message wg charging current. Always quite neatly jumped. Only error message after the Malheur: something m it the key (Belgian model). Replacement keys taken 80 km highway again zero volt. Now I want to connect a charger tonight, if the battery is charged in the morning then it should be excluded as a source of error. Or? Bridging goes, while driving no abnormalities. What do you mean? Lima? Should nevertheless error message come.

v50, coupling defective
Hello together, on Thursday it caught us again: Clutch comes, suddenly she takes off strangely and “glues” almost on the ground… ADAC then dragged me to my workshop. There the boss said that he can drive quite carefully (he could lift the pedal with his finger and if he doesn’t push it completely and lets it come quite quickly, he can drive it). He said that he doesn’t think that the clutch is completely gone. Today he did it again. costs for new clutch with installation incl. “water wheel” (means so? it has been noisy over the mobile phone) would probably come to 1,700. He said, I should think about it, because the car has already 200,000 km and then next year the timing belt is still standing. It is just a risk, because a car with this mileage can always have something. If I am lucky, I can drive it still 2-3 years (do so nearly 20,000 km a year), since nn it would be worth the repairs in any case… only, who knows what’s next? What would you do? LG!

Volvo v50 2.0 D light jerking in the lower speed range
Hello, I’m driving a Volvo V50 2.0 D Mommentum. BJ 2007. The car has almost 40,000 km down. I have the following problem: From time to time I notice a very slight jerk in the low turn point. However, only if you keep the speed. Up to now I noticed this only in the 2nd and 3rd gear. Acceleration works perfectly. The car was standing some time unused in the garage (about 1 year). My workshop read the board computer for errors and found nothing. The mechanic recommended me to go on for the first time to see if it gets worse. Oddly enough, this does not always come up. I am grateful for every hint. Best regards Mark

V50 Basic Sound Wiring
Moin Moin, after I’m through with the exchange of the interior equipment now comes the sound system. In addition a question: I looked at the amplifier in the trunk yesterday. From the amplifier 2 light conductor cables go forward as well as a quite thick plug with the box cables for the doors. On the radio front however no light conductors go away with me. There are also only normal strands for the boxes connected. Where does the light conductor cable go? How to get an Aux connection after I have found it here by now click . but : since the sound does not seem to go over the light conductors with me, can I switch behind the amplifier a small power amplifier again, together with the new boxes that I have installed should this already result in an enormous sound improvement or?
