Hi, everybody, it’s about my little moose, who has been trying to drive me crazy since this morning! So, it’s a V50 Bj 2007, 2.0D Was refueling this morning and when I was rolling off the tank, the onboard computer shows a message “motor system maintenance required”…. I’m still up to the office and then bought a diagnostic device during the break to check how acute the problem is! However, he didn’t issue any error code. A nice colleague then watched t and also opened the bonnet, removed the plastic cover and made a visual inspection! bonnet closed again and see, the message had disappeared, for this now stands battery warning! We then measured the Batterie, which was at 11,8V. Sounds not bad for now. Now I searched through the net and I got on a forum entry that it could be battery or even LiMa! Has anyone ever had a similar problem?

“Rare” radiator grill ?!?
Actually I had before my v50 bj. 2004 to convert to the facelift version-zumnd. the front, with the headlights and above all because of the cooler grill, because that is pretty much the only thing that really doesn’t like with my sledge GAR. I have repainted it already black, but I still don’t like it. but by chance I came across a grill at ebay that I’ve never seen before, it almost looks like the one from the facelift model, is alledi ngs for the pre-facelift models! this is exactly the grill that I want to have imposed! does anyone have any idea where this is from? by now I pay attention to every volvo that drives past me on the cooler grill but I’ve never seen it before. if someone happens to have it and wants to sell it, he’ll be happy to contact me! would also exchange it for my current one, photo is in the annex

Roof damage C70II
Däh, now it’s time to go for a swim in the great weather yesterday, when what came in between me: roof couldn’t open any more, i.e. the flap straightened up, but then I got an error message and nothing went on. Shut up then no more and only in the operating instructions stood how to get the flap back. After that also the hint came to the workshop. So instead of to the Biggesee to swim off to the after Siegen. The i with my first “roof damage” fault diagnosis delivered a defect with the Hallsensor No.12, whereby the computer did not tell me where this sensor is installed. Must of course be ordered and will only be able to be fixed after our Norway vacation from next week. It’s good that we wanted anyway because of the luggage for 2 weeks with the large V70 to Norge. Has any of you had similar experiences or I am not only the first with this F ohler??? My 5 year guarantee expired on 16.07., never used greeting and nice weekend! Uwe

Oil quantity rises, diesel pushes in
Dear My C70 D5 Bj 07 “produces” increasingly engine oil, now 1 litre within about 7-8 weeks… Apparently this is a well-known problem with the D5. But where is the place, where do I have to look? Driver profile: work path 27 km, fast over road, short distances we rarely drive, on the WE we drive almost always over 1 hour in the mountains. The injectors were replaced times, according to information from there the engine would have to run uncleanly if they ran. Gspump and engine apparently still works, said the friendly one. Is there a main suspect in this well-known problem of oil reproduction in the D5 engine? Thank you already.

Rims for C70 searched
Hello together, As you may have noticed, I bought a C70 II T5 summ about a year ago. The car is really good in shot and extremely well maintained. It has already 8 years, but not yet 100’000km on the hump. During the fall the front right shock absorber has given up (was still ok when buying, then has suddenly started to make quite bad bitches during a ride in the summer, much less traction, rumbling, etc.) so that now the soss dampers sam The car is still really good to the way and basically also very well maintained. Only with the rims the previous owner has not handled absolutely carefully. They look like Ar… Besides, I don’t find them so beautiful from the design. In the summer Sadira with 235/45 R17 tires on it and in the winter Castula with 215/55 R16. The summer rims are simply scratched (on the edge of the curb). The winter rims broke out really bad dents inside and sometimes small pieces. My dealer and the type from the MFK (in Germany this would be the TÜV) meant, safety technical no problem, but it is ugly after all. Since the winter eggs are only suitable for this season and are currently mounted, I had thought to dispose of them directly after the next change in spring. I then wanted to take the current summer rims with new tires for the winter. I think the car looks really chic (I have exactly this painting like the car on this picture). But now I have seen that the 17 summer tires are really new (Pirelli with DOT 1114 and 8mm profile). The tyre set alone has a value of almost 1000.- Fr. Somehow I find it a pity to dispose of a new tyre set. What would you do? Is there any new full-size wheels for me? höne Alternatives from third party manufacturers that would fit the existing summer tires? I know, it’s still a few days until spring, but somehow the topic doesn’t really let me go right now… Gruss Christoph

Drallgate, injectors, ECU…
Hey Ihrs Meinem C70 D5 Bj 07 isn’t well… There’s already a mistake on the bus 1. No heating and no climate on the driver’s side. The other day I brought him to my screwdriver because of the already for a few weeks broken throttle. He called me the next day, three injectors went out, two are stuck.. he had to take him to a diesel specialist. Maybe besides the flap also the one or other injector would have to be changed. Couple days later call again, can the other two were tested and are still ok. The new ones were programmed and he is driving well, better than before. Everything would have been lost at the throttle valve, by the way. I was very happy and picked him up. On the second drive he suddenly ran restless. Error message in orange: ESP needs maintenance. Shortly afterwards in orange: transmission needs maintenance. Something later in red: engine maintenance DRINGEND. I let myself from the towing service from the Autob One of the two didn’t swap. Okay… then hold out the same old ones, replace them. Everything ok. Pick up. On the first ride after 5 km the same game… same error messages ESP, transmission, motor DRINGEND. I had to pick up from the screwdriver, he said, probably a mistake in the electronics… check out and get in information etc etc… wire harness? ECU?. Great… I calculated sc hon with having to export the moose for pocket money after I had already put so much money in and constantly new problems appear. Somehow enough, better an end with horror. The other day I was with the IT lunch with which I had built the Bluepower device. He meant that can almost not be… that gets broken where has been repaired.. there is probably only one plug not really in or cable broken or something stupid, problem of few cents un un un d Damage of a few thousand… Don’t you want to look for yourself? He is quite well equipped and a tinkerer.. now we look in there ourselves. And because of the error on the BUS 1 we also look. First we see if we can find a workshop manual of the C70 D5. Can someone help us there? What are your thoughts about the history? Did someone have similar problems?

Single-sided inside worn tires – need repair???
Hello to all Elk experts, recently I found out that with my Volvo V50 1.6 D (2010; 194000 km; 9101/AJA) the right front tire on the inside had gone so far that no profile was visible at all. The left tire showed no abnormalities and also has enough profile. The rear two tires had a sawtooth phenomenon on the inside – both sides. But also here enough profile. The tires were Fulda MultiControl 195/65 R15 91H. S he are all four about 1.5 years old and have a mileage of approx. 35000 km. On closer inspection also sees (straight steering position – steering wheel) that the front right tyre seems to have tilted slightly inwards (compared to the right front tyre). So this seems to be a fall error. But now I have read that you can’t adjust the fall at the front of the V50. I have now made the two front tyres new. My question: What should I do in this case? But if you can’t adjust the fall, an axle measurement is actually useless. That confirms a false fall, but I can’t do anything about it. The tyre fitter also looked at this and did not find out that there was a fault on the axle. So, for example, any joints were knocked out. Do you have any suggestions here? Manfred

C70 2.0 d Bj 2008 sometimes high resting current up battery empty
Has anyone had such a problem before? (Please read to the end..) Typically in winter with snowfall on Monday morning after the weekend was 2 days break, the battery is completely empty, i.e. at about 6 volts, it does not even react to the unlocking. So it was last year 2, 3, times – for the Volvo dealer this was a clear thing, a new battery must have been. So I was on the road last year. Now the battery is exactly one year old and hardly was 4 weeks ago. n the first snow, I had the problem again. So I installed a measuring resistance (10 milli-Ohm) between the battery pole and terminal, so that I can disconnect the battery without interruption after turning off the vehicle and then measure the current. Of course, the terminal is again properly installed before the next trip! What do I measure now after the parking of the vehicle? I would say nothing abnormal! It takes a couple of minutes until the power consumption rings off properly, But it does it finally up to near 0. With the coarse measuring devices I can assume a noise well below 10 mA, but no more. The battery voltage is also OK, so at 12,8 V permanent. But then! I have the sporadic case that someone pulls a horrendous current! Just like now, Sunday afternoon, snowfall: The battery still has 6 V and I measure 550 mA! As I said, Friday evening was still less than 10 mA, a forgotten lamp is eliminated. Since I last year when the first appearance had already this behavior, I commissioned the Volvo dealer to carry out a corresponding troubleshooting. Of course without finding out (but I paid them already) – The battery was declared defective!

V50 MKL active and engine suddenly runs bad
Moin together With my V50 2.4i (B5244S4) the engine control lights up for the first time in 17 years And it started yesterday out of the blue… I drove to Burger King last night and ate something in the car there. He was completely fine away. I wanted to go again and suddenly he jumped totally badly. Somehow it seemed to me as if he wasn’t running on all cylinders. The speed wigged between 200 and 800 rpm until he went out. The next start was gen Only the third time he ran reasonably. On the way I had to take away a jerking at the gas again and again as if the engine was off… Sometimes he choked at the traffic light then step off at the clutch. When entering the gas there was sometimes no power. Engine control was however still off… Only when I stopped at the gas station, turned off the engine and after 20 seconds started again I had the MKL active. Always on the way with a China OBD adapter for emergencies. This showed P0089 and P0193 According to the Internet, this has something to do with the fuel pressure. Later I will read out with Vida once I switched the fuel pump 500km ago. The old made howling noises. The new works and it seemed to me as if the V50 has been running better since the new fuel pump. But now this mistake suddenly… To replace the fuel pump I had to pull the fuse from the fuel pump relay F74, the engine running Can it be possible that there is still air in the system somewhere? Maybe in the rail? Or did it kill the fuel pressure sensor? Someone an idea? Greeting, René

Today on the AB stopped V50 2,4
Hi guys, I unfortunately stopped today on the way from Hamburg to southern Germany at the height of Giessen. The car suddenly didn’t want to take any more gas as if it didn’t get any fuel. On the side strip he went out completely and didn’t get started anymore. It’s a Volvo v50, 2.4 BJ 05/2005 with currently 81000 KM. We were immediately towed thanks to my protection letter and got a rental car. However, the car was turned into some free workshop. Tow whether the experience with Volvo is uncertain. That makes me a bit of a headache. Has any of you already had this problem and a tip what that could be? I remember reports about the control unit of the gasoline pump…does anyone know what? Thanks already
