Moin, are you also such an absolute anti-radio person like me?? Then you surely know the problem of always having thousands of CD ́s flying around in the car… I’ve been looking for a decent box for a long time, where I can connect my phone to it, or at least let music play via a USB stick. Who made himself smart there, should definitely know the “Grom Box”, however, with the (at that time still) good 300€ more to Buche a Is a lumberjack Another alternative would be these “FM-transformers”…but I’ve only heard about this so far. Hello! I have to install a hi-fi system (and other optical toys) in front of me with my car (Volvo S40 II, 2005) because I still have it in my basement and I don’t want to sell it! So this thread could be good instead of a showcase product, for other people who want to build something in the direction. I will post all my activities gradually because I don’t have 5 days at a time! Available is: high-performance audio – that means e s is already an amplifier in the trunk of which I will tap off the signal and speaker cables As a second battery the old main battery is used, new one was installed on 10.3.2015, said old one has ~80% power to be installed: 1x 1kW RMS subwoofer from Hifonics 1x 125W RMS 4-channel amplifier with high input (Crunch MXB4200i) 1x 150W RMS 4-channel amplifier for boot speakers 1x 2kW power amplifier 1x 1F capacitor (possibly also 2F) 1x 2kW changer 1x second battery with separation relay 2x 300W 3-way trunk speaker (for parking spaces) The whole thing is built into the trunk in a modular structure in a trunk tray so that this plug & play is for the car (and possibly other cars). The whole part will then be 1m wide, 80-100cm long and max. 50cm high! Photos later on. Above all else: It may take until I post pictures and these will appear gradually! I am working full-time and therefore usually only have time on weekends! So please be patient, I hope the result can be seen!

Hello municipality, I asked a similar question some time ago, but still here still an attempt. I use the hands-free device installed in the C70 II Facelift Momentum as standard, i.e. I couple the mobile phone via Bluetooth. My interlocutors complain sadly that they understand me only with a lot of background noise and that the conversation for them is therefore very exhausting and unpleasant – and that already at country roads tempo. I think the car is “developed” and it is not a question of any software noise suppression tricks. Rather, it should be banal physics that passes through wind noise or vibrations to the microphone. I suppose it is contained in the plastic part, in which the indoor lighting lights and switches also slumber?! I unfortunately do not come the days to drive the dealers themselves, since I am on a business trip, but would need an approximate size with which I can expect. Thank you very much.

Huhu Together, I’m looking for new flaps for my V50. Have the standard tyres of 205/55/R16 on it and need something new there accordingly. For example, they are the EnergySavers from Michelin, but are also not a must. With all the different designations I don’t see any more. For a tire there are 5-6 different types on the internet and I honestly don’t know where they differ. So driving is more normal and designed for consumption, city/country/motorway to 50/20/30 % price what I would spend would be so 60-80/tires. What have you had good experiences with?

Hello all together I wish you a happy new year. The headlight cleaning system does not work on my used V50. The pump runs after the fifth time cleaning windows also on but the nozzles do not come up. Safety is ok. Nozzles I have already pulled out by hand. What could still be defective. Would it like to run. With kind regards and many thanks.

Since it is finally getting warmer and you can drive again with open windows, it is already paasiert to me that I missed an open window when closing the car. Even with an older golf there was the possibility to close the sliding/kipp roof when closing it. Can an analog function for the windows with the V50 for example via software upgrades have to be retrofitted? fiete

Hello, I have read many reports here on the topic of defective climate capacitors. Since my V50 has now also been caught, and I have no desire to transfer about 900 € to the Volvo workshop for repair I would like to change the capacitor myself. I can get the capacitor from Hella for almost 100 € and the filling of the system takes over a colleague of the privately run as a side trade a small workshop and has a climate maintenance device. For filling he wants 50 € and I want to have I think that I can get my climate back to work for a small amount of money. But can someone tell me how expensive this is to replace the capacitor? Think that the bumper has to be mounted off? Is that simple or difficult? Must after that perhaps even more be dismantled to get to it? Hello, unfortunately, after many days of research I found no comparable case in various forums. Also my current Volvo dealer in Stuttgart could not report about this. Overnight I had a small crack in the outside roof seal on the front roof segment. Can happen – I thought. Since the seals are not available single at my model year (EZ02/2008), I would have to order the package from all three seals for the left side (400,- And in order to avoid deformations on the roof, all seals on the right side are to be exchanged in case of accident! Cost estimate according to Volvo: 2 x 400,- + wages, approx. 1200,- €. Since I already had side panes adjusted this year, new climate capacitor installed, four new summer tires as well as TÜV + large inspection had to be made, I am looking for a small solution. And since water does not penetrate into the interior, I was recommended by Volvo to seal the saddle. It’s about 25,- €. Now my question: Has anyone been able to gain experience, whether and how long does something like that last? Or has someone had the same case already. Is there a better price for these seals?
