  • Fuel consumption varies extremely Volvo c30 1.6d

    Hello, I’ve been observing for a long time now that fuel consumption varies greatly with my Volvo c30 1.6d. Means I drive continuously 110km/h with cruise control at about 4.5l and suddenly without supposed reason it consumes 2-3l more diesel, for a few kilometers. Does anyone have an idea what this is about?

  • Differential pressure sensor – problems after exchange. Please help me 🙂

    V50, 282,000km, 2.0D, replica DPF since 60k km Hello, I would like your help: My V50 had a high fuel consumption (8.3l / 100km) and some oil increase. Therefore I read out the differential pressure sensor in the Vida, which seems to be ok, but had a drift (stable rise) when the engine was running longer. So sensor checked –> there was water in it. Tubes blown through and new DDS bought and installed from Hella. (https://www.ebay.de/…/192802069243) All good, 1 day later the error message “motor system maintenance is required”. In the Vida the error is filed that the DDS delivers to nitric values (ECM 2454 Pressure sensor partial trap signal too low). After the deletion was 2 days quiet (7,6l consumption) and then again the error message. In the Vida the DDS displays measured values, which are close to 0, but also significantly increase when giving gas. Hose clamps on the DDS have already been checked. Which scenario is the DDS? Do you think you’re likely?: 1. DDS has been delivered defective? 2. Learning values of the engine are overloaded with new low value? You can reset the Vida, is it safe for the hobby screwdriver? 3. What I did not find, however, is an answer to the question whether you can change the AGR valve yourself? Sure, you will answer, everything is possible. But according to the Haynes V50 manual, it is necessary to release the engine and let it down a bit. But for that I lack the means. Now the question arises, is it possible with hardship and distress also without this procedure? Does someone already have the AGR I have a second AGR at home (cleaned, tested), which the friendly one changed to me about a year ago.   • Aut. Day running light at the C70 -> Mj 2008 <- deactivable ?

    My recently purchased C70 has activated the automatic daytime running light (ex works). The light switch still has 3 positions: “0” – “Standlicht” – “Fahrlicht” – “Fahrlicht”. However, the driving light is also on “0” at the start of the engine. I want this, as a driver who has been able to think for over 40 years, to deactivate when driving. My dealer is now not (more) able to “program out” my daytime driving light. he has been able to do this several times, in my model year 2008 he would not find this de/activation point in his software any more.   • Light sensor or not?

    Hello! I have a very stupid question. I have been driving a Volvo V50 built in 2009 for about 1.5 years. The equipment line is momentum. When I bought it, the dealer promised me in the equipment a light sensor that should automatically turn the light on or off. Since my V50 Bi-Xenon headlights with curved light should be there. Unfortunately, it is not possible. I am not sure whether the dealer has no idea or the sensor is switched off via the software. I can also get there, for example, the automatic closing of the fixed disks was disabled or the automatic door locking until my workshop has switched off again. I think that my previous owner simply could not cope with the technology and let everything unnecessary shut down for himself. So the fog lights were also jammed off. The workshop says that the V50 did not have a sensor but they have already (according to their own data) call around My question is now someone knows how to find out whether there is a sensor or not. It’s not that bad (I’m always driving with light because my predecessor car had this sensor and I always forgot to turn on the light in time) but wurmen already does me!!! Thank you!

    Hello to the Volvo circuit, have seen the car magazine today from a well-known V.x transmitter and am really amazed. Is the Keyless still safe or you have to be afraid of the crooks that steal the car with tricks and new technology? Probably the times of the real steering wheel claws are woken up again, to make it easy for the thieves. What good is a Keyless with switched on alarm system, if crooks can turn off the system simply? Would I see about reactions r , because I will probably carry my key for shielding in a metal box and if necessary even a gear/wheel lock must be used.

    Hello, my Volvo V50 1.6D from model year 2010 is equipped with a fixed nav of the above type. The last update took place in 2011. This is of course quite outdated and screams for update. On the correct website you will be referred to the responsible dealer. I did this with catastrophic “success”: VOLVO offers me a map update on DVD from 2015 at the price of 300€. That’s quite outrageous! – If you’re complaining VOLVO also offers to install me a mobile device. However, this does not correspond to my opinion, there is a fixed device (but with the then stand as DVD device) available and in addition somewhere on the windscreen a mobile device is tapped. At that time the equipment detail “fixed built-in navigator” was quite expensive. My question to the community is the, maybe someone knows an alternative, where one can come at reasonable cost to a card update or maybe even a “remodelling solution” to the today’s usual USB standard.
